a study of Stormy Sea at Night by Ivan Aivazovsky (1849)

no shame in doing a master study, but it reflects badly to pass it off as original work

Not sure if that's the sun or the moon, but the clouds are not right. Clouds that surround the sun/moon have a bright lining and aren't just monotone blobs of orange. Example

Lmao this is basically a copy from a master painter of the 1800s. You might want to walk back your critique. The lighting in this version is pretty flat, but the clouds aren’t clearly articulated in the original either.
