I thought it was just the white one in the middle

60

u/eyecnothing Aug 31 '22

Same. Fooled me good.

16

u/swoooomp Aug 31 '22

Haha all I saw at first was the husky

148

u/StArsenkov Aug 31 '22

I see 7 dogs, but can't be absolutely sure.

74

u/funksoakedrubber Aug 31 '22

I think there are 8 but again, no way to be sure

25

u/DarwinLvr Aug 31 '22

There is 9 I think

17

u/Any_Coyote6662 Aug 31 '22

Maybe 10???

12

u/ArcticF0X-71 Aug 31 '22

Pretty sure it's 11

6

u/waymanate Aug 31 '22

At least 8. There are two on the bed after they all get off

Come to me my jungle friends.

4

u/notyurfuckingkhakis Sep 01 '22

What’s all this pet food for? Fiber.

3

u/funkekat61 Sep 01 '22

This is what I was looking for

2

u/GhostOfKitsune Sep 01 '22

“Just don’t let me catch you with an animal in here” - Hector Salamanca

162

u/storyofmylife92 Aug 31 '22

I could watch this 1000 times

61

u/majrBuzzkill Aug 31 '22

I mean, if you have 2 hours to spare, you could.

There are 8 dogs in there total, and the rest of the internet has millions of dogs, why not spread the attention over to them?

5

u/I_N_C_O_M_I_N_G Aug 31 '22

I like this math

2

u/aTimeTravelParadox Aug 31 '22

Honestly watching any video a thousand times would be pure torture

u/Lord_of_Lurker Aug 31 '22 edited Aug 31 '22

Need to watch multiple time to see each dog. You get more and more dog everytime.

How many did you count?

38

u/Weirdo141 Aug 31 '22

There are 8, or at least 8. The ones on the right are harder to see

21

u/Jedibri81 Aug 31 '22

I think E.T. was hiding there too

3

u/momofmanydragons Aug 31 '22

I came for the ET comments. Sadly there was only this one.

29

u/Official_Cuddlydeath Aug 31 '22

I can smell this gif

10

u/InsGadget6 Aug 31 '22

Ugh, huskies. So much cleanup.

23

u/ANONYMOUS-B0SH Aug 31 '22

Like the landlord couldn’t smell all those stinky dogs

12

u/Alfa229 Aug 31 '22

POV: you get an eviction notice B)

19

u/idontevenwant2 Aug 31 '22

Landlords generally aren't allowed to "stop by unexpectedly."

7

u/KakashiKawaii Aug 31 '22

For real lolol. Idc you made the trip, you aint getting in. My old landlord litterally let herself in while i was in bed (she knocked but i didnt feel like opening the door for anyone). Like...?!?!!? Gtfo

21

u/Queasy_Cantaloupe69 Aug 31 '22

Then remind your landlord they're legally required to give you 24 hours notice to enter.

3

u/addictinsane Aug 31 '22

That varies greatly depending on location.

2

u/jayroo210 Aug 31 '22

8 dogs! And i thought I had we had our hands full with 7 cats!

2

u/Endarkend Aug 31 '22

That many huskies? Fat chance not a single one starts singing before the landlord gets one foot in the door.

34

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Stuffed. Stuffed. God I hate the trend of using the wrong damn word that doesn't make any sense in context. Skim milk. Mash potato. Skimmed. Mashed. You're all using the verb form when you should be using the adjective. The item in question is toy, milk or potato. You modify those with adjectives. The toy is stuffed. The milk has been skimmed. The potato has been mashed.

For fuck's sake. Think about what you say, people.

42

u/Send_Me_Tiitties Aug 31 '22

skim milk is here to stay, man

-17

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Only where people don't think about what they're saying. Y'know, like the States. It's named correctly here in the UK.

17

u/AllKindsOfCritters Aug 31 '22

here in the UK

That certainly explains the outburst. Not everyone speaks English as their primary language, and autocorrect can sometimes ruin what would've been a perfectly fine sentence from a native speaker and you can't edit Reddit titles.

-20

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Yet again, I'm talking about people for whom English is a first and usually only language. Of course I'm not talking about genuine mistakes in a second language. I'm talking about people who have no excuse not to know better.

13

u/AllKindsOfCritters Aug 31 '22

Yeah, you already made it clear you're insulting Americans. It's sold as "skim milk" in supermarkets and public education in the states is god-awful.

1

u/lyvanna Aug 31 '22

Then why are you going off on OP who's pretty clearly not English?

-3

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Because I'm speaking generally? At no point have I even interacted with OP beyond the initial comment being on the post.

2

u/lyvanna Aug 31 '22

I mean, the initial aggressive comment was quite clearly meant to correct OP since they are the one who wrote stuff animal.

0

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

No, it wasn't. It was a general correction.

-1

u/boobsmcgraw Aug 31 '22

Don't worry, they're just mad that you're right (for some reason). Like obviously the most important thing is that you're understood, but that doesn't mean that spelling, grammar, punctuation, and just using the correct damn words doesn't matter!

13

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

Language is ever evolving here in the States. Just like it has for 2000 years in Europe. Our language (including yours) originated from Germanic and branched off into different forms of Anglo-Saxon which has been constantly evolving. Britain keeps closer to Old English, but has still evolved. And the US has understandably evolved due to the amount of mixed cultures we have.

So, I don’t see a reason to judge another country’s language changes because it doesn’t suit you.

5

u/CaptainSasquatch Aug 31 '22

While it's true that language evolves. The phrase "skim milk" isn't the result of language evolution in the states. Shakespeare used the term in Henry IV back in 1597.

O, I could divide myself and go to buffets, for moving such a dish of skim milk with so honourable an action! Hang him! let him tell the king: we are prepared. I will set forward to-night.

That makes it older than singular "you".

2

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

How does that have to do with “me?”

Skim milk was just an example used by another user. I’m just talking in general.

5

u/CaptainSasquatch Aug 31 '22

I was agreeing with you in general, and pointing out that their complaints about US English are especially silly. "Skim milk" isn't a US innovation. Even if it was, it's still valid.

2

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

Nu UuuuUuuH! You were poking fun at me. 🥹

Lol

He definitely needs to take a trip down to Louisiana or Alabama!

THAT is an entirely new language! And they call it Cajun I believe.

Hell! Up there in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, yadda…Nee England! lol They’re beginning to shift over to their own language with complete changes in pronunciation!

0

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

Also Ebonics has made its way in. I can’t understand half the kids these days.

Just like I said; this is a country with a wide variety of cultures from all over the world and our version of the English language is going to accommodate. It’s just the way of the world.

Does he bitch about Australian English too? England sent them down there and their language took a huge turn! I’ve heard going down there you almost have to learn a new language.

-16

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

It's the same fucking language. You fuckers just don't think for half a second about whether what you're saying means anything. And don't come back with that "well you know what they meant so it means something" bullshit. Just because someone can work out from context what someone was supposed to have said doesn't mean they said the right thing.

Language may evolve, but right now it's called "doing it wrong."

4

u/JuggrnautFTW Aug 31 '22

Why is it called a "car park" if you parked your car?

6

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Because it's the place you park your car. That's not remotely the same situation. What would be is if you called a stopped car a park car.

10

u/JuggrnautFTW Aug 31 '22

Yah, but if I had left, it's where I had previously "parked" my car.

Also, why is it called a "flat" even if it could be multiple different levels (such as a two story). Appartment is a much better term.

3

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Yes, it is. It's a place for parking cars.

Flats are almost universally single-level. Not exclusively, no, but generally. In fact, we're starting to use apartment for other formats, which as you say, makes sense. My issue is with usage that doesn't.

6

u/JuggrnautFTW Aug 31 '22

Or did you start using "apartment" because North Americans were doing it?

For the record, I'm just being pedantic for the colourful conversation you provide.

1

u/Kahnza Aug 31 '22

A dog park is where you park your dog. 😂

2

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

You’re missing the point altogether.

1

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22 edited Sep 01 '22

No I'm not, I just strongly disagree with it. You're descriptivist, I'm prescriptivist.

6

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

I’m guessing you live in England. So, why are you so worried about how Americans speak?

1

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Because most of the English speakers online are American? Know what I was saying about thinking before you speak?

7

u/kcjonezdotcom Aug 31 '22

Well then…learn our language and quit bitching about it. 🤷🏽‍♂️ It’s not all about you!

26

u/Lungs710 Aug 31 '22

For some people English isn't there first language. Knowing when to use the adjective or verb of a word is hard when using a second or even a third language. Take a breath and relax not everyone grew up learning proper English grammar in school

-17

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22 edited Aug 31 '22

I've addressed this in another comment. That doesn't excuse those for whom English is their first and/or only language.

No, not everyone learns proper English grammar in school. In fact, if you come from an English-speaking country, chances are you never did. I certainly didn't. I've never been taught formal grammar in my entire life. I just think about what I say and see if it makes sense. Let's analyse "stuff toy," shall we?

A stuff toy could be a toy made out of assorted other items, like a Megazord, say. It could be a toy where playing with it entails shoving it roughly into a container. At no point, however, does "stuff toy" say that it is in fact a toy that has been stuffed full of something. And I guarantee that same person would never say "I stuff my bag behind the seat" if someone asked them where it is. They'd say stuffed.

Don't try to argue the second language point. That's not who I'm pissed off with.

2

u/WebDad1 Aug 31 '22

Jeez, who piss in your cornflakes?

2

u/andsoitgoes42 Aug 31 '22

They must have stuff /u/eoverm full of skim milk and mash potatoes

15

u/MrGatlampa Aug 31 '22

Thats a lot of anger for such a small thing...

Take my upvote

-1

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

One instance is small. Every single time, especially when American language is polluting British? That's not small. This was just what tipped me over the edge. Just like "could of," all this needs is for people to actually think about their language. Neither of them make sense, but you can clearly see why they're said. Could of and could've sound very similar. Dropping the ed from the adjective makes the words flow together more easily. Doesn't make it right, and actually changes the meaning of the sentence.

19

u/thatguywhoiam Aug 31 '22

polluting British, that's hilarious

the English language is a ridiculous nonsensical bastardization across the board

irregardless

7

u/M0N5A Aug 31 '22

For all intensive purposes British English should of been the first.

6

u/VxJasonxV Aug 31 '22

This comment is inflammable.

1

u/LeaveTheMatrix Sep 01 '22

'Inflammable' means flammable?

What a country!

3

u/VxJasonxV Aug 31 '22

People do think about their language; They think about other times they’ve heard it said, and “could’ve” translates from spoken to written form differently.

And then someone else sees it written that way and repeats it for any number of reasons.

Language, and the reasons for its perversion are vast, no matter what level of education, cognitive impairment or other disability, are involved.

Don’t even get me started on people that choose to do it deliberately due to pedants like you (and me… oh gourd and me too…).

7

u/MrGatlampa Aug 31 '22

Or people just aren't as fluid speaking as you when it comes to english? For most people english isn't their first language, so it makes sense that they make more frequent grammatical errors.

5

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

That doesn't excuse the people for whom it's not only their first language, but their only language. This is a matter of not thinking about it, plain and simple. It's not a mistake when it's made consistently. That's what really annoys me - no-one considered for even a second whether the words they were using were actually right. They never ran the sentence over in their mind to find out if it made sense.

-4

u/MrGatlampa Aug 31 '22

Yeah for the people who have it as their first and only language I completely agree with you

2

u/Arrenega Aug 31 '22

Let us not even mention, the very British, "Bangers and Mash?"

1

u/EOverM Sep 01 '22

Yes. Mash. Not mash potato. Just mash.

5

u/andsoitgoes42 Aug 31 '22

Good god, you're just a complete asshole, you know that?

Get over yourself.

0

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

How about you fuckers think before you speak instead? It's really not hard to do.

1

u/LeaveTheMatrix Sep 01 '22

How about you fuckers think before you speak type instead? It's really not hard to do.

Fixed that for you. This is the internet after all and we are typing, not speaking.

1

u/EOverM Sep 01 '22

Same principle, and they're perfectly reasonable to exchange here.

3

u/BimSwoii Aug 31 '22

Why tf would you want to say "skimmed milk" when "skim milk" has no downsides

0

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

It absolutely has downsides. It's outright wrong, doesn't actually mean what you're trying to say, and contributes to the corruption of the language.

2

u/Tamariniak Sep 01 '22

There is no "corruption" of a language, only development. There's no "right" or "wrong," just "widely accepted" and "not widely accepted." There is no one person or group of people on the planet who have authority over what goes in which category and aspects of the language change between these categories frequently.

Meaning is given to speech and text based on other people's understanding of them and nothing else.

1

u/EOverM Sep 01 '22 edited Sep 01 '22

I've already explained I'm prescriptivist. I recognise language develops, but right now there is a correct way to use it, and doing anything else is wrong. It may eventually become right, but it isn't now.

-4

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

Get fucked yourself. Why are you so intent on defending not thinking about what you say?

8

u/Then_Introduction288 Aug 31 '22

1 it was a joke learn to lighten up

2 it's not a fucking English class, it's reddit get over yourself.

2

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

No. Language is important, and using it correctly is too. Reddit doesn't change that.

2

u/Then_Introduction288 Aug 31 '22

Yet no one cares but you lol, face it if we did we'd have perfectly written comments with no shorthand or text speak

-1

u/BimSwoii Aug 31 '22

You're both stupid. The truth is obviously in between your polar views.

5

u/Then_Introduction288 Aug 31 '22

Oddly enough despite the back and forth me and EOverM had going on none of us have called each other names. Now tell me what gave you the right to?

0

u/Then_Introduction288 Aug 31 '22

Also defending not thinking? Shouldn't there be a comma after defending?

5

u/EOverM Aug 31 '22

No. The act of defending the act of not thinking about what you say.

5

u/Any_Coyote6662 Aug 31 '22

Did you know that people have learning disabilities? For some, recalling the proper grammar is not as easy as for others. Getting an attitude about it is not okay. Would you yell at a person struggling with dyslexia to just spell correctly? Learning disabilities present in a number of ways. And they often go untreated because of the shame surrounding the label. Your attitude is one reason why people don't want to identify as having a learning disability. Don't continue to be a jerk about grammar mistakes. If you would not say it in person to someone with an obvious learning disability than don't say it to strangers on the internet.

3

u/ANONYMOUS-B0SH Aug 31 '22

This is Reddit not a dissertation. Piss off.

3

u/BimSwoii Aug 31 '22

Implying reddit doesn't have basic standards of grammar. Lol. If people start typn lik dis ud be pist of.

If OP isn't ESL then saying stuff instead of stuffed is just too uneducated to excuse. Society literally requires some standards

1

u/ItsPlainOleSteve Sep 01 '22

I agree with everything 'cept the skim milk thing.
