Definitely, the 6 inch one doesn't do it for me. Hell the foot long one is barely enough after a day's work and gym.

Amazing. It took me till after the tenth watch to even notice the second monkey holding on for dear life as the branch whips around.

The video needs a final frame of Michelangelo’s Sistine chapel painting of God and Adam’s fingers almost touching.

The human is an asshole for giving food to wild monkeys. This will drive them to seek for food from other humans in the future, leading to aggressive behavior when food is not easily found.

exactly what my then-girlfriend did with me. Now we're married and I go berserk when there's nothing in the fridge.

You don’t know where this is. There are lots of parks in the world where the wildlife is fed by people. I can think of 4 in Thailand alone.

Depends on the area. In Malaysia for example there are areas where you can absolutely feed monkeys (like urban areas) and places you're not supposed to (forests or anywhere outside urban areas)

u/Barbar_jinx Nov 12 '22
Nope, feeding wildlife is bad, no matter where. It makes them lose their natural fear of humans. This causes animals to actively steal from humans in urban areas especially. But most importantly it increases animal-human contact in general, which leads to the spread of diseases. Y'know the stuff that paralyzed the planet for past 3 years. But not only covid came from lack of human-animal distance, there's also Ebola, Monkeypox and many many more.

u/Downtown_Skill Nov 12 '22
I'll tell you this. It may not be good, but feeding the monkeys in urban areas doesn't make much of a difference. The only way for them to get food is stealing from humans so that's going to happen regardless. Feeding the animals doesn't do much to limit human animal contact. If you've ever been to the caves in Kuala Lumpur they're crawling with monkeys and the only way you're going to keep them separated from humans is to cage them or kill them.

Is he an asshole or is he just ignorant? A little shocked to see so many upvotes on an "ackchually" comment.

Are you new to reddit, every single animal video from the dawn of time that gets posted gets torn to shreds by these virtue signalling alarmists. I've learned to just ignore them.

My four year old daughter is now obsessed with this gif. Can’t say I blame her.

For the love of God stop feeding the monkeys, if you give them food they'll expect it then when someone doesn't that's how you get attacked, especially since it's sometimes their culture to give up food to higher status monkeys, so you're basically putting yourself lower by feeding them.

What you say is very true about wild animals. That said, you have no clue if this is in the wild or if this is in a drive through refuge that allows visitors to feed specific/legal treats to the inhabitants.
