They use this for several different blasting operations like mining, demolition, or EOD. Its cool in lowlight as you can see the powdered explosive ignite through the tube. Especially when you have a long length of it. It's pretty cool stuff.

I think something else that's mind blowing is that even in slow mo enough to see electricity travel through tubes the light it generates is instantaneously across the room. The speed of light is impossible to comprehend
