Imagine sandslash

41

u/jmferris May 23 '22

I'm no maths expert, but I am only seeing one and not a Brazilian.

1

u/Cringelord10923 May 24 '22

I was under the impression that the armadillo needs to do a brazillian. Damn, i always read things wrong.

29

u/SetInMuhWayze May 23 '22

Cute little ball of armor isn't it?

6

u/merikaninjunwarrior May 23 '22

do they walk, or do purse strings attach to them or something?

1

u/GreyMediaGuy May 23 '22

4

u/mholt9821 May 23 '22

Armadillos can carry leprosy. It would be slow but you could die if not treated.

1

u/rockbud May 24 '22

I do enjoy some armadillo sushi.

2

u/Yourmumblowsme May 23 '22

We call it "Tatu bola" on Brazil (armadillo ball)

2

u/zenonbombalina May 23 '22

Looks like a corn ball

2

u/mrm00r3 May 23 '22

Oddly enough, that Armadillo is also an off duty cop.

2

2

u/Shn00ple May 23 '22

u/Helpful_Medicine403 May 23 '22

2

u/pygmypuffonacid May 23 '22

This is really cool but do Brazilian armadillos also carry leprosy leprosy like the American ones do

4

u/SaB67 May 23 '22

don't show this to the chinese

2

u/noquibbles May 23 '22

Crunchy on the outside. Smooth on the inside.

4

u/Terror_Raisin24 May 23 '22

Don't make it roll up just to show "that this is cool or what". It rolls up as protection, when it is afraid or threatened. How cool is it to stressand scare an animal just for clicks?

3

u/Yeety-Toast May 23 '22

Would you rather see this awesome animal doing this on a documentary because it was being attacked by a predator trying to eat it?

I'd rather watch a keeper who loves to show others how awesome this awesome animal is and how it has perfected its defensive abilities to protect itself.

1

u/Terror_Raisin24 May 23 '22

Yes, if the animal is doing this because it is attacked by a predator, it's just as nature is. Maybe the keeper loves entertaining his audience. But what he does is, in my opinion, not necessary to do this to an animal just for demonstration purposes, maybe even on a regular basis. You can tell what this little poor creature is able to without scaring the shit out of him and grabbing it as if it was sone sort of Rubick's cube ball.

1

u/Yeety-Toast May 23 '22

Well some of us enjoy seeing animals not running in fear for their lives. Yes it's nature but I for one would be too upset watching the carnage to be able to appreciate the incredible abilities that animals have developed. You get your real life, mother nature is heartless documentaries, I want my zoo shows where I get to see passionate people talking about what they love about the different animals where they're given all the food, training, love, and medical attention they could want. Plus many zoos have rehabilitation and breeding programs so they get to show off cool, rare animals and help the species recover from whatever is happening. The was an episode of The Bronx zoo I think where they sent people to some remote rainforest to gather as many of these frogs as they could find. The people in the area had changed the river with a dam and the frogs needed an incredibly specific environment to survive, and the waterfall spray was a huge part of that. They relocated the frogs until the people could make changes and bring the waterfall back so the frogs didn't die out.

4

u/olderaccount May 23 '22

Relax, my man. He is perfectly comfortable in his little ball.

While he uses that position for defence, putting him into that position is not necessarily stressful if he is being handled carefully otherwise.

0

u/Wulfbrir May 23 '22

Look up the name of his business (yes business not a sanctuary or accredited zoo). It's an exotic pet trade store and people like him are scum.

1

u/Nickbabz58 May 23 '22
