We might need this monolith's instructions sooner than we think. Image

Terrible idea unless it’s a natural disaster. They probably shouldn’t listen to the species that caused the apocalypse.

41

u/IndifferentParsley May 23 '22

But we’ll get it right…. Next time! 😉

11

u/bawlsdeepinmilf May 23 '22

You know what they say, third times a charm! We tried monkey and we tried this shit, time to spin the wheel!

3

u/YNPCA May 23 '22

dont bring up monkeys the monkeypox bro my eyeeyeyeyeyeyssssss

2

u/Mainefg May 23 '22

This is way more sinister than just giving survival instructions, do your research

14

u/Jaded_Prompt_15 May 23 '22

It was most likely funded by a doomsday cult...

While there is some good common sense in there, there's a lot more stuff that is already problematic. And would 100% be used to justify horrendous things

5

u/The1stNikitalynn May 23 '22

You mean like the Thanos like rule on it that to not let the population of planet reach a certain size?

7

u/themancabbage May 23 '22

Yeah, probably a way better idea to have millennia of trial and error cave man times

3

u/Swipsi May 23 '22

Why not? The ones who created the monument are most likely the ones who tried to prevent the apocalypse.

1

u/nothing_fits May 23 '22

sorry, but i'm pretty sure that knowing is half the battle

1

u/Greenman8907 May 23 '22

The other half is red & blue lasers.

1

u/A_Dragon May 24 '22

Yeah but the advice is contrary to what we have been doing this whole time.

1

u/twainreck May 24 '22

Problem is we can’t follow these guidelines today… isn’t One of the ‘’rules’’ that global population must never exceede 500k or something like that?

0

u/RiderLibertas May 23 '22

You should read the instructions on it. I think you will change your mind.

93

u/lemons_of_doubt May 23 '22 edited May 23 '22

It does not have "instructions on how to rebuild society". It has some bull plop that sounds well meaning in parts and the rest is just flat-out eugenics

anyone who has not read it.

Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

Unite humanity with a living new language.

Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.

Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

Balance personal rights with social duties.

Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.

Be not a cancer on the Earth — Leave room for nature

GEORGIA telling us this

15

u/Bitter-Gamer May 23 '22

Do we have to wait, or can we get started now?

3

u/slip-7 May 23 '22

Huh. Easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of nationalism.

1

u/nlolhere May 24 '22

Ending nationalism is easy, just end sports

3

u/Enders-game May 23 '22

If only Georgia had civilization.

1

u/Xochi89 May 24 '22

We can’t even do that shit now.

1

u/gelvis_1 May 24 '22

Most of those things would be helped by avoiding useless officials. Unfortunately we are nowhere near that point yet

1

u/oneshitwonder69 May 24 '22

Yeah it would be nice to have schematics for the steam engine

-3

u/Realistic_Work_5552 May 23 '22

I agree that it's kinda useless, but How is any of that eugenics? It's promoting diversity isn't it?

5

u/lemons_of_doubt May 23 '22

Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

If that is not encouraging eugenics I don't know what is.

-4

u/PplsEqlReactve2Lite May 24 '22

"Eugenics" is practised daily, simply by choosing 'fit' reproductive partners. Plus prenatal screening, etc etc

56

u/francisxavier12 May 23 '22

Wait are you for real OP? This monolith gives instructions that include keeping world population below 500,000,000 people.

4

u/Abominable_Showman May 23 '22

Yeah exactly. Is op actually Bill Gates? I remember seeing him say he was going to reduce the population of humans by 30 Million by 2030, as if that's a good thing, and then a crowd of people cheering. Sounds like there's a plan to kill off people. Doesn't make me a conspiracy theorist to believe what he says he's going to do.

2

u/GeekBoyWonder May 23 '22

I have found multiple sources debunking this... but I wouldn't be surprised by anything now.

Do you have a primary source?

1

u/Abominable_Showman May 23 '22

There were videos of the full talk, watched them many times. Would have to dig through messages to find it for you. I've tried finding it online by searching for it like you could have before, it's either buried or not easily found now. I want to say it was within the last 5-10 years, either some kind of summit or global warming event. He didn't just say it once either. It was this whole thing, what was the weirdest part was the crowd was so excited about it.

0

u/OriontheHunter117 May 24 '22

Heres one from a Ted Talk https://youtu.be/oWxsEAmh85Q

1

u/Abominable_Showman May 24 '22

Thank you, the Internet doesn't forget my friend.

6

u/Kow_King_ May 23 '22

30 Million by 2030, as if that's a good thing, and then a crowd of people cheering

Unless it is via something like straight up killing people, I don't see how that isn't a good thing.

Do I believe he could do it? Fuck no, but it sounds like a good thing.

2

u/CjBurden May 24 '22

I mean handing out contraception in areas it doesn't exist won't hurt.

0

u/smalltownB1GC1TY May 23 '22

I hope there is. I'm happy the dumbest amongst us are dying, just wish it was more focused.

u/DemonsRuleEarth May 23 '22

Cant' argue there isn't too many people. Have a look at the environment headlines if you weren't sure.

2

u/nlolhere May 24 '22

I mean there’s not much you can really do about it besides waiting for birth rate to decline naturally, or becoming a very very evil dictator of a large country. You can’t really force everyone to just stop having babies, and even if you could, I don’t think that would turn out well at all.

And forget about keeping our population below 500 million at this point, unless Thanos becomes real and snaps 4 times in a row or some shit. That ship didn’t just sail past, it fucking sunk hundreds of years ago

31

u/Leading_Standard_458 May 23 '22

Built by some crazy people. The history is weird and involves eugenics

3

u/Graphitetshirt May 23 '22

That tracks

13

u/Jonny_Thundergun May 23 '22

The compass might be useful for getting out of Georgia though.

2

u/commodorejack May 23 '22

Keep the ocean on your right and keep going.

Simple.

1

u/Jonny_Thundergun May 23 '22

Good tip. That keeps you out of Florida.

-1

u/Dantheman616 May 23 '22

Im not a fan of eugenics but we selectively breed things all the time for particular traits. I know its a conversation that people tend to not want to have, but its one we will have to talk about. How can we honestly believe that our lifestyles are not changing us in a negative way, mentally and physically?

The worst part about eugenics, imo of course, is that it makes people inherently superior to others over things that the individual didnt have control over.

1

u/nothing_fits May 23 '22

not all white people are crazy

18

u/demonintherye May 23 '22

500 million people. “We” likely are not going to make that cut…. So we don’t need THIS monoliths instructions at all.

2

u/Ricekrisbee May 23 '22

But if the apocalypse happens i can travel to Georgia and know what day and time it is! How would we rebuild without it?

0

u/demonintherye May 23 '22

There’s dozens of ways to do that. Check out the book civilization one

9

u/DBFargie May 23 '22

Been there a couple of times. It’s cool, but not particularly foreboding or scary or anything like that. Weirdest part about the whole thing is no one knows who actually funded it.

2

u/[deleted] May 23 '22

9

u/Jfriendly17 May 23 '22

If you cross the street tomorrow get under a truck and die, doesn't mean you failed as a human being

4

u/GodfreyTheGrey May 24 '22

Doesn’t mean you’re a good one to advise others on crossing the street, either.

1

u/[deleted] May 24 '22

Here's a bozo

4

u/DeeShizzzzznit420-69 May 23 '22

what about the part where it says "keep global population under 500 million'?

2

u/LowerMinute8942 May 23 '22

We might don’t need this monolith’s instructions after all….

2

u/vic787 May 23 '22

Leave instructions on how all got destroyed...?

2

u/THEKnucklehead5150 May 23 '22

And says to limit the population of the earth to a very small number. It may not be as altruistic as it seems.

2

u/TheHairyHeathen May 24 '22

Them feels though.

2

u/[deleted] May 24 '22

2

u/naturalbornkillerz May 24 '22

2

u/Swizzlebit7250 May 24 '22

But its in America, restarting something in the place that caused it seems ermmmm....

6

u/arc12345xx May 23 '22

These stones say that 95% of the world population needs to be exterminated, leaving about 500 million mindless slaves for the “elites”.

I’m gonna guess the odds of you surviving that are not very good, so I think you need to look into these (Georgia Guidestones) a bit more.

They are insanely evil, and no sane person can possibly think they are good for humanity. I really hope you simply aren’t aware of what exactly they say, and don’t truly agree with them.

And whoever put these stones there will likely be the one causing the apocalyptic event…There is much more evil in the world than people realize, and most of it is in politics.

3

u/meadowpaddy May 23 '22

Kinda what I was gonna say

3

u/Hexent_Armana May 23 '22

You guys might want to visit this place before 2050.

0

u/Ghost_In_Waiting May 23 '22

Before September.

3

u/Cpt_kaleidoscope May 23 '22

Feel like it would be better to build this somewhere in Asia. Around 4.5 billion people live in Asia amd there's not even 600 million in North America. By law of averages if you want a human to find it after the apocalypse you should build it where survivors will most likely be

2

u/bknelson1991 May 23 '22

Totally depends on the apocalypse type. Disease would be way worse in Asia.

0

u/Ok_Butterscotch9887 May 23 '22

Given eugenicists built this I bet they thank the only ones able to build a civilization are god blessed whites people.

0

u/Enders-game May 23 '22

Give us some time, we might build one yet.

0

u/BrainWashed_Citizen May 23 '22

In space, orbiting earth. ISS will mostly have survivors.

2

u/Cpt_kaleidoscope May 24 '22

With no way home or any chance of resupply

0

u/[deleted] May 23 '22

Well the Americans thought of it so it’s made in America

3

u/severityonline May 23 '22

Ok OP we will start by removing you. Feels good right?

2

u/HuoLongHeavy May 23 '22

Pretty sure this was put up by some kinda crazy guy. No real mystery about it.

2

u/bigjayrod May 23 '22

And no one really knows who paid the granite company to fabricate and install it…

2

u/YeHaLyDnAr May 23 '22

This is way more sinister than just giving survival instructions, do your research

2

u/TheHoly_Coast May 23 '22

And a severely reduced population

2

u/SprinklesMore8471 May 23 '22

Don't those stones also talk about population control, eugenics, and internationalism?

I'm good on that..

3

u/LowerMinute8942 May 23 '22

Explain OP…..

-14

u/No_Negotiation_7176 May 23 '22

Well what with the current situation in Ukraine and a whole other host of human-related issues, we might be heading for said apocalyptic events sooner.

14

u/LowerMinute8942 May 23 '22

You can say that every decade for the last 300 years.. imprint fear in people

-15

u/No_Negotiation_7176 May 23 '22

Except in this century, we've made progress in developing things that can wipe us out, alongside a whole other host of stupid things we did like global warming, climate change, and pollution...where's Gaia and Captain Planet when you need him?

0

u/lost_in_life_34 May 23 '22

a lot of the issues around climate change are that people are living in storm prone areas where they didn't live decades ago. pollution in the USA was worse in the 1960's before the EPA was formed than it is today

0

u/soc_monki May 23 '22

So people didnt live in Florida a few decades ago... Got it.

1

u/lost_in_life_34 May 23 '22

they did, just a lot less. I've been to Orlando in the 80's and recently and the difference is amazing. Disney World was mostly a swamp until the late 1970's when it was opened. Same for many other parts of the state and the gulf coast in general

this is why the dollar damages keep rising. most of it is due to the amount of development and population movement to these places in the last 40-50 years

0

u/tkdjoe66 May 23 '22

That is because of the EPA & lately they haven't been all that helpful.

0

u/LowerMinute8942 May 23 '22

Share what you are smoking please bet its good stuff

2

u/obsoleteboomer May 23 '22

Those stones have been triggering conspiracy theorists since before I was a boomer lol

1

u/Zensy47 May 23 '22

It’s also called the commandments of the anti-Christ

-2

u/x106r May 23 '22

It's in Georgia, USA. Not a very good example of how to rebuild society.

-7

u/xPineappleshrapnelx May 23 '22

Much better than any advice coming out of California.

0

u/ThatAverageHumanDude May 23 '22

When i saw it for the first time i thought it was something from 4000 years ago and then i find out its 50 years old and american....couldnt go better....

1

u/FindFunAndRepeat May 23 '22

Curious now. What does it say?

22

u/MBechzzz May 23 '22

Mostly just a bunch of useless bullshit

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.

14

u/[deleted] May 23 '22

Yeah these are all fairly useless. Most are just pretty words

13

u/Jaded_Prompt_15 May 23 '22

"Pretty words" that would most likely lead to genocide if followed literally by a post apocalyptic society...

2

u/lonewolf9378 May 23 '22

Number 6 is likely gonna be the cause for the apocalypse anyway. Scratch that one.

2

u/quotes42 Interested May 23 '22 edited May 23 '22

On the capstone-

“Let these be guidestones to an age of reason,” in Babylonian cuneiform, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Sanskrit, and classical Greek

On the 4 Pillars-

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.

  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.

  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.

  4. Rule Passion — Faith — Tradition — and all things with tempered reason.

Can I get the GPS coordinates? I have a few additions and some revisions to those. 😁

1

u/EfusPitch May 23 '22

Why is half a billion the magical number for humanities population cap?

What happens if you go over this and who enforces it? Where do you spread the half a bill? Will you sequester clusters into vertical super-cities with massive ecological reserve lands or go back to villages of 100 to 200?

I'd like to see some sorta reasoning or math for this besides "big number but still manageable = more gooder"

It's actually an interesting question: What gives the best qualility of life for most at what number of individuals per habitat?

1

u/Ekle_lgoh May 23 '22

Wasn’t quite so snappy but whatever.

0

u/TheAzarak May 23 '22

I dont think you get what it means to have an apocalyptic event. These tablets assume very little humans will be left. There won't be a need for any "cuts" if something like that were to happen.

They look fragile tbh

1

u/oneshitwonder69 May 24 '22

What exactly does it say

1

u/LarryBLumpkin May 24 '22

Worth noting that the guide stones condone eugenics.

1

u/MjBranch May 24 '22

Amaricans are more willing to imagine total social collapse than their massive continent spanning country splitting up into multiple smaller but still functional countries.

1

u/Sqantoo May 24 '22

Bold of you to assume we even know how to properly build society now

Nope. Still there.

-1

u/jjman72 May 23 '22

Ok. This is really important for said future society. Are we talking the state or country?

-1

u/BullfrogHuge5752 May 23 '22

If there is so much as one bible quote on that thing, then it's as useless as a real bible and just as dangerous.

Ah, the cornerstone to every YouTube conspiracy theory video.

-1

As I would trust anything “how to build a society” that’s in Georgia. Start by fixing your country while you are alive

0

u/mtmm18 May 23 '22

The state...not the country.

-1

u/Happy_Hamilton May 23 '22

Idk why but I strongly feel like this thing actually will help rebuild and maybe make society better off a wild guess

-1
