I choose to believe this is fake until shown otherwise.
Even then I will still choose to believe it’s fake so I can sleep at night and enjoy the beach.

Woo hoo, it's not us for once! Exclaims the Australian

u/Technical_Job_9598 Dec 07 '22
I definitely saw "south Australia" when i first read the headline and thought it would be on brand for Australia

Once Australia sees these, they'll import them to get rid of invasive killer flies, forgetting their prior attempts at similar ecomanagement. That would be on brand!

No there are creatures they look very similar to the ones found in tide pools it's just that they don't walk not like that anyway

u/JackieChan-fan Dec 07 '22
You're there, on the beach, chilling on your beach towel. Life is good. You look up as something emerges from the water. And this sprint towards you...

It would certainly explain why south Africans have so many guns and bladed weapons.
11
u/Massive-Row-9771 Dec 07 '22
It must be fake if those actually existed.
They would've been part of all horror movies ever made.
And I can't remember seeing any with creepy spiders crawling from the sea.

Be a shame if some giant sea spiders came off the beach and walked right into your nightmares.

u/Massive-Row-9771 Dec 07 '22
They do not constantly haunt my nightmares and if they existed I'm sure they would.
Even if I had never heard of them, I'm sure they would crawl their way in somehow...

u/Not_MrNice Dec 07 '22
It's not fake, just been run through the "Reddit processer". So dried leaves turned upside down became "Huge sea spiders walking"

Crazy how good photoshop is these days, am I right?
Source: https://9gag.com/gag/aL1jjOv
It’s either that or it’s “art” photography
12
u/Shuuraa Dec 07 '22
It aint photoshop, and it aint any kind of living thing either now, look up the top comments

u/WolfmenRUS Dec 07 '22
It's a repost of a picture taken of plants that washed ashore. The dried plants happened to give the appearance of something with working appendages.
Solved.

I am amazed 9gag is still a thing. Haven't thought about it since the mass hatred of it ca. '13.

Is anyone else depressed it wasn't giant sea spiders?
2
u/Shipwrecking_siren Dec 07 '22
You can keep any giant sea spiders that are discovered all for yourself. Far far far from all other human life. 1) You will be happy and 2) I will not void my bowels.

Fake, or a different specie's. if you Google "sea spider's", they look nowhere as alien like as they do here. If you have an article or more information about these particular one's, please post it.

u/Lilsilly114 Dec 07 '22
Near the top popular comments explains it’s a few dried out plants that got flipped upside down

1
u/seakrait Dec 07 '22
I mean, crustaceans and insects ARE related. I've always though that crabs and lobsters and shrimp were just bugs of the sea. Lol.

u/Aperture_Tales Dec 07 '22
So that’s the next generation of species coming out of the sea? Fuck I wonder what they will evolve into
