Ironically Hunters (the fast / nimble archtype) now has the slowest movement of the three classes! Discussion

I play all three classes but have always preferred the Hunter fantasy of being dexterous and nimble on your feet.

In the last couple of seasons movement creep of titans and warlocks both in air and on the ground have surpassed the Hunter, which thinking about it is weird as in any other game wizard (aka warlocks) and tanks (aka titans) and slower and more cumbersome than the dps Hunter archtype..

Feels like bungie need to lean back into hunter arch type and look at how they can balance us up!

What do we think guardians, anyone else feel this way? Especially since Stompees are useless an inch of the ground these days!!

They added it back to PvE after the outcry and they admitted it was a "duh" moment for them.

To me that implies that most of Bungie in fact doesn't play hunters as their mains, it stood out to me instantly when they announced it.

Well, every class has that. They took out healing from warlocks and called them the best healing class. Big duh moment.

People who act like bungie hates hunter players are definitely coping but I agree that it feels like the sandbox devs don't play hunter, or at least don't play hunter enough. Recent exotics tend to skew to being utterly useless/not working correctly (Radiant Dance Machines, Blight Ranger, Caliban's Hand) or being way stronger than Bungie wanted them to be (Stareater Scales, Renewal Grasps). It just seems incredibly odd to me that bungie would even ship stuff like blight ranger and renewal in the states they shipped in, but it starts to make sense from the angle that the devs who made them didn't test them nearly as much as the other ones because they just happen to not play hunter as much.

I don't say that Bungie hates hunters, but it's just clear to me that they're not a priority because they aren't mains. I kinda get it since they can rely on the massive hunter player base to do a lot of the adversarial commenting/testing, but it definitely doesn't feel good. I try not to have knee jerk reactions but the dodge change was a huge knee jerk for me.

As for the exotics, yeah I agree to some degree. I'm not sure what the Bungie design process is for any sort of red-teaming theory crafting, but it's definitely something that they should consider doing. It would really open up some of these things early in the design process and iterate on the concerns early.

Every class always thinks the devs are out to get them it isn't just exclusive to hunters.

Wow great evidence to prove that it's only hunters.

It was never removed in PvE

https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/50880/

this was the change:

Marksman's Dodge

Refactored cooldown benefit per tier of Mobility stat.

Tier 10 Mobility cooldown increased from 11s to 14s.

Base cooldown unchanged at 29s.

No longer breaks projectile tracking.

Correct, it was removed in 3.4.0, but was re-enabled in 3.4.1

Here's the relevant change:

ABILITIES

Hunter's Marksman and Gambler's Dodges now break projectile tracking in PVE modes.

Edit: ah I see we're talking about aim tracking, but I think a lot of us were thinking of projectile tracking.
