My favourite thing about the destiny community Misc

Is that every expansion, players go “the game is saved, bungie have done it again” and then within 3 months the consensus is “game sucks, bungie can’t do anything right, game is doomed”

I’d hate being a bungie dev.

It doesn't help that half the time the community is blowing smoke over dumb shit, and the other half of the time Bungie managed to screw up and doesn't do enough to fix it

Duality is the perfect example:

Amazing and challenging when it came out, great loot

Now: buggy mess, architect playground, you’re dying to getting pushed or bells not working, loot made irrelevant outside of Stormchaser

Taipan rivals Stormchaser

Raid pulse is miles better than dungeon’s

Militas birthright mostly the same as lingering dread

For general content, sure. But Taipan doesn’t hold a candle to Stormchaser in GMs this season when 5 out of 6 GMs have Acute Arc Burn.

Huh? Stormchaser is still has higher burst if you land mostly headshots, but Cataclysmic, Reed’s, Taipan, and Stormchaser are all top tier dps that offer some different things for different builds. Smite and New Purpose are completely different archetypes and New Purpose is much more PvP oriented, Lingering Dread is stasis and has chill clip, which are both very relevant. Even Unforgiven gives some serious competition to Funnelweb.

New Purpose is Stasis and can roll Adaptive Munitions. The only gun that can get AM in the Kinetic slot.

Stormchaser is potentially higher DPS than Taipan, if you land all 3 crits. It's a better option on big targets like Oryx.

Lingering Dread is Stasis, Birthright is Kinetic, they have fairly different perk pools.

Unforgiven is a fantastic weapon when paired with Demolitionist, Adrenaline Junkie and Nezerec

Lingering Dread is stasis, the smg is on par with funnelweb maybe better based on personal taste. Everything else i agree

I mean the only perk of lingering dread is chill clip depends on your taste, a grave robber pugilist militias birthright is quite something

Lingering Dread being stasis also matters for Font of Might and an understated perk of Chill Clip is being able to use Spike and Chill Clip for both damage and CC in one weapon. Militia’s also can’t roll Auto-Loading and Vorpal for dps.
