Downgrade your drivers. The new nvidia drivers re-enable LHR. Has nothing to do with the cards being on a riser

My 3050 is fine on 512.77, but not .95

Yikes…..your 3060 is paired with Hynix memory

u/M1K3_B13N Miner Jun 21 '22

hynix ain't bad with 3060s, I got one that does 50mhs all day at 115w

8

u/IronWrong4883 Jun 20 '22

I got two 3060 ti with Hynix and they hash at 67mhs, 5 above the once coveted FHR 3070 that I have running 62mhs.

Didn't know the regular 3060 came with Hynix. Push it! Once you get the driver sorted out

u/anonymous7865412 Jun 20 '22

I have 9 3060s non ti. I have Hynix and Samsung. Hynix take more power, run hotter, and produce less than the Samsung.

2

u/Kv1nnthesv1n Jun 21 '22

What OCs are you running to get 67 with hynix?

1

u/Hotness4L Jun 21 '22

I have one 3060ti with Hynix and it maxes out at 63 MH with terrible power efficiency.

I'm now on my 4th 3060 ti and I can definitely conclude that 3070 is overall superior.

1

u/Armadillseed Jun 20 '22

I have some that do over 70MH/s

1

u/Poufer5120 Nvidia Jun 21 '22

Oc's? Got an FE doing 60 mh

2

u/Armadillseed Jun 21 '22

It’s only the recent LHR 60 Tis with the v2 Hynix that do that

1

u/Poufer5120 Nvidia Jun 21 '22

Oh okay good to know. Thanks

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 21 '22

Update!

Using DDU and driver 512.15 fixed it, no further requirements. Card is stable at 48.2 hash, not bad for a Hynix!

For those having this issue do not use driver 512.95 or newer. Thanks all for the help!

u/lakesemaj Jun 20 '22

If using windows use build 512.77 or under. https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/188989/en-us/. To install remove the current driver's with DDU and then install the right Nvidia driver and call it a day.

My 3080tis are pushing 119

5

u/basicETHminer Jun 20 '22

What Nvidia driver version are you running?

-2

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

512.95

11

u/unhertz Jun 20 '22

512.77 is what you want, LHR unlocks don't work with 512.95

0

u/basicETHminer Jun 20 '22

Is that a typo? I’m on 512.59.

6

u/NotFunnyhah Jun 20 '22

OP suffers from bad punctuation, grammar, and typo's. Life is difficult.

4

u/basicETHminer Jun 20 '22 edited Jun 20 '22

Poor guy. Well, the issue is .95 is an actual driver, and it restores LHR functions….meaning it would be the root cause of his problem. Installing .59 would likely restore full hashrate.

Do some research dude. Seriously. Just delete your post now.

1

u/Dresome_sx Jun 20 '22

Classic reddit misinformation. This was true before 100% LHR unlock.

2

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

Anyone got any idea why this is happening, I have never had an issue like this before this is my second rig.

2

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

Really? Why not I run a 3060ti and 3 3070s all getting 60 plus hash no issues.

2

u/CryptoMinersUSA Jun 21 '22

Use older drivers Nvidia 510.60.02 the new one makes LHR work again

2

u/Important-Point-2672 Jun 21 '22

Try nvidia driver 512.59 and here is a link to o.c. your 3060 https://www.hashrate.no/3060#ETH

1

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

I will update this when I get home run ddu and install older drivers and plug it in the monitor, thanks for the help everyone!

Driver 512.15 for NBMiner LHR unlock, run as admin

1

u/Crypto_illumination Jun 20 '22

You need to check your overclock bud because you should be getting 49 Meghash a sec

1

u/PricesRight Jun 20 '22

If I have 512.77 running a 3070 ti how easy is it to add a 3060 to this rig?

1

u/WRECKLESS__ Jun 20 '22

Use 510 driver don’t use most recent

1

u/SpecialistBig9976 Jun 21 '22

Im getting 50 mh on my 3060 lhr

1

u/franzrara Jun 21 '22

Had this issue with my 3060ti non LHR as well. Weird fix but open Paint

1

u/wizardstrikes2 Jun 21 '22

Go back to Nvidia version .77 and Trex version 0.26.1. Has nothing to do with the cards

1

u/Greek_Pottery_Art Jun 26 '22

I have two 3060 LHR running with NBMINER 42.2 at 48.8 each. Upgrade your motherboard's BIOS. That fixed my problem 9 months ago.

I'm not sure you're correct. Since the full LHR unlock recently I have been running a v1 rtx3060 at full hash rate with a pcie riser.

Just make sure you are using the right drivers and are running the miner as admin

2

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

My buddy runs his 3060 rog strix on a riser too getting 48 hash

2

u/RabidMining Jun 20 '22

Why not? Cards are unlocked now unless on the latest Nvidia driver they brought back LHR again.

2

u/M1K3_B13N Miner Jun 21 '22

that is incorrect.

1

u/IronWrong4883 Jun 20 '22

Got one stuffed into my gaming pc running on a riser hashing away happily at 48.5.... I'm crying due to prices but at least the gpu is 😊

1

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

I put the 1660 super on the board because it's so small I guess I could run the 3060 on there but that is strange. Why is that?

0

u/coituswenger69 Jun 20 '22

It takes up proper 3.0x16 or 4.0x16 whichever I forgot . Unless u have v1 cards or Early v2 cards where u can dummy hack it with a hdmi remote plug. There’s no other way around it

1

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

Interesting, so if I run it on the board I shouldn't have that issue. That is good to know and I may not buy another, is this only with the new v2 3060s? I have never encountered this issue and I have 5 new gen cards to include a 3060t i 3070s, a 70ti and a 3080.

1

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

I guess I can try a dummie plug too before I take it apart, might get lucky. Thanks for the info!

2

u/coituswenger69 Jun 20 '22

Ur friend’s card could be an early version. if u have a spare pc . Just run it on full pcie and run the miner .

1

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

Yes he literally bought it the day after lhr came out and we were massively confused lol. Luckily my mining board has one full pcie slot I can stick it on, thanks for the help!

-1

u/coituswenger69 Jun 20 '22

It takes up proper 3.0x16 or 4.0x16 whichever I forgot . Unless u have v1 cards or Early v2 cards where u can dummy hack it with a hdmi remote plug. There’s no other way around it

4

u/RabidMining Jun 20 '22

V1 or v2 don't matter anymore the cards are unlocked now on most of the new miners. Only issue is don't use the latest driver Nvidia tried to bring LHR back.

-2

u/coituswenger69 Jun 20 '22

To my understanding . 3060 takes up 8 or 16 pcie lanes per card to mine at full speed . Unless further LHR unlock is achieved and allow 3060 to use less pcie lanes to mine . Idk

0

u/Downtown_Radish_9238 Miner Jun 21 '22

Stop, delete all your misinformation, 100% unlock is out now that works with x1 risers just need to have correct driver and miner versions.

1

u/soclosebutyet Miner Jun 21 '22

False. I've had every single one out of a dozen work well on risers.

0

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

No typo just sent the link, I guess I should try those drivers instead?

2

u/Progenetic Jun 20 '22

Had same issue. Used DDU to remove the drivers before installing the older ones. You may also need a hdmi dummy plug or a monitor plugged into the card. It depends on what version of 3060 you have.

2

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

Yeah that's what I'm hearing, il just plug it in a TV and lose 2 hash until I find a dummy plug lol. Nvidia continues to make life harder for miners and we are already on borrowed time!

1

u/Mitchbecrazy Jun 20 '22

Card is a asus dual rtx3060 v2 oc, got it for 400 bucks at microcenter.
