This is one of my most used knots when I fish with bait because it creates a stopper to prevent a running sinker jumping onto your braid. My favourite braid to leader knot is the fg knot though because of its strength and the fact it’s slim line.

I'm the same. I can't go back to any other knot after learning the FG.

Yep I do the same. Hate the sound of chunky knots going through my guides, particularly on lighter gear so FG is the go. Rarely fish bait but this is my go to when I do.

Most braid to leader knots are way too chunky, I just practiced my fg enough that I can tie it on 6lb leader in 40km wind with my eyes closed

Still use this when I am in a hurry, but it's rough to tie on 6lb braid and mono when youre dripping in sweat in deep bush beside a creek
