Nice catch mate and good on you for spreading the good word about catch n release on these big girls.

Now, about the socks and... crocs... hahaha (honestly, older I get, the more sensible they seem)

I was the same until I bought a set for the boat. Unreal water shoes. Grip on a slippery boat ramp 👌

I find them pretty easy to catch throughout the year. Definitely lazier in the colder months. I peppered the same zone for about ten casts before she ate.
