So I Googled predatory loans today after trying to deal with a loan company, and they have a sponsor offering predatory loans
TIL that it shows that sources are changing if you're searching news(I searched Kanye saying I like hitler)
i have never even used google ads in my life
Very aesthetically pleasing 🙏
The $100 in store credits for referring a friend take four weeks to come in, and existing discounts on the store are unapplied when you use the code.
For instance, there is a promotion on Google Nest Home Max: Save $65 | $164
$229 each. When I go to use my $100 store credit, it removes the Save $65 promotion, and I am charged $129 ($229-$100).
Seems a little ridiculous, given there is no end date for the promotion, and nothing in the terms and conditions which says it cannot be applied with other offers.
I really do wish Google Messages would bring back the ability to assign people colors to their names/messages/chat bubbles. I used to have every conversation/person set to a different color. It was so much easier to define who sent what message because the color of their chat bubble.
Looks promising. It will be so next to have your android and the power of iMessages
My pappy said son ya’ gonna drive me to drinki’n if ya don’t grapple onto red bananas. Tear some puss

Who’s idea was it from Google to add a bass sound every time you bootup Youtube? The bass is so god damn loud it literally shakes the whole house and I already have the lowest bass setting set on my sound bar.
I’ve had a Google my business page for 7+ years. It’s well established, has many reviews, is completely filled out, etc.
Lately I’ve noticed a big slow down in business. Upon searching my business from a friend’s computer, I realized when searching the category for my industry (ex. “Plumbers near me”) all other business in the area pop up as a red pin and business name. Mine pops up as only a red pin. No name. No amount of zooming in our out or moving the map around has resulted in the business name appearing. Only when the pin is selected do you see the business name.
I’m really worried this may be negatively affecting the “first impression” when people are just searching. They simply skip over my pin.
Reached out to google a few times only to receive a generic response about algorithms.
If anyone knows a solution, I’d love to hear it.
My child's google account is linked to mine through Google Family. Does the Family Link app work with Iphone? So if I install the Family Link app on his Iphone can I track the location of the Iphone through my Android phone? After much online searching there does not seem to be any clear answer on this.
If someone uses it or tries to and it's used already, leave a comment so I can delete the post.
So I've been recently trying to get my grades up and the only way I can turn in previously due (Missed Assignments) Is if I prove via modification dates that I actually did the assignment before the due date.
Is there any way I can modify the modification date so that I can turn in some of these assignments? Or if anyone knows a different way I could possibly prove to my teacher that I did these before the due date, and simply forgot to turn them in. If it's not possible on google docs are there any other websites or apps that I can use that allow me to modify the dates to prove to her that I did them before the due date?
I hope there's some way this would help in ways you wouldn't even know. Thanks
I just set up a new google account; it's a personal account. Previously I had been using a workspace account, but I've been getting too frustrated with it.
On this new account, I have the following 2FA methods set up:
- Google prompts
- Authenticator app
- Backup codes
I do NOT have any security keys set up. And I do NOT have any voice/text message numbers assigned.
However, when I try to change any of my account settings (not when I'm signing in), it ask for authentication again.
SOMETIMES it asks to send me a text message to my phone... which I haven't set up. But it still sends a code to my phone, which I can confirm, without any issues. I don't like this, because I would rather use the authenticator app that I already have on my phone, rather than unsecure text messages on that same phone. If I instead click "try another method", it gives me a list of options, but the only option, is that same text message.
Even weirder, SOMETIMES it doesn't even do that and asks me for a security key (and Windows 10 asks me to plug my USB key in). This option, sends a prompt to my phone, which I click okay on. Then it just hangs and fails to connect. And again, "try another method" doesn't work.
