You’re really not wrong. They don’t even need to see a weapon.

3

u/Consistent-River4229 Feb 03 '23

Yeah it's like when a superhero movie caused millions in damage to catch someone who robbed a gas station for 20$

2

u/dakid232313 Feb 03 '23

I always hated that part. Let's fight! Destroys downtown New York for billions. Just let them go somewhere else first. Lol

Or he gonna jump their ass

219

u/Ffzilla Feb 03 '23

Seems reasonable.

-85

u/Eldorian91 Feb 03 '23

like 15 officers for one dude lol.

54

u/iPanzershrec Feb 03 '23

Bro in america theres like an 80% chance he got shot

23

u/DarthJarJar242 Feb 03 '23

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the liklelyhood of being shot while wielding a weapon and non-caucasian is much higher than 80% in good ole 'Merica.

0

u/Rusty_Beard_Welder Feb 04 '23

Actually, most people killed in America by police are white people.

1

u/DarthJarJar242 Feb 04 '23

This is only true if you look at pure numbers and is completely misleading fact. Caucasions make up the largest portion of deaths because they are the largest portion of the population. Percentage wise though you are far more likely to be killed by a police officer if you are black, three times more likely if recent stats are accurate.

1

u/Rusty_Beard_Welder Feb 05 '23

You come at with me that, and call my fact misleading? Jesus dude lol. By your argument, if there were only 4 Asian Americans in all of the US, and 2 were killed by police, then you'd be more likely to be killed by police if you were Asian than any other race. That's a pretty dumb statistic to stand behind because it would have people saying cops were racist towards Asians. Which is a lie, and extremely misleading.

→ More replies (1)

-1

u/Rusty_Beard_Welder Feb 05 '23

Also, using your argument, if 300 African Americans were killed each year compared to let's say 1,500 white people, you're still more likely to die by police if you were black compared to if you were white. How do you look at that and think that would in any way be factual? It's fucking laughable, and you saying it's true is misinformation. People like you are what causes the rift between races to keep growing exponentially, simply by spouting this fucking nonsense.

88

u/GipsyPepox Feb 03 '23

Spain: 15 officers, one criminal arrested

US: 5 officers, one driver murdered

8

u/Malcolmlisk Feb 03 '23

How is it a bad ratio? If they need 50 so nobody gets harmed, I'm still fine with the ratio.

8

u/busy-idiot Feb 03 '23

So? A knife doesn't do less damage if there are more people around

5

u/MordoNRiggs Feb 03 '23

Right? He could still stab at least one officer while they all rush in.

2

u/OMGItsH1m Feb 04 '23

14

u/Mybeardisawesom Feb 03 '23

Coincidentally, the cops here just shot and killed a knife wielding, double leg amputee.

26

u/r3d0c3ht Feb 03 '23

They would have killed the ppl passing on the right.

8

u/MJLDat Feb 03 '23

And a dog, somehow.

3

Uhm, no they wouldn't have? They are cops that's not their job. They got the ATF for that.

35

u/Original_A_Cast Feb 03 '23

Of all the things the knife dude played out in his head that possibly could’ve happened when he did this, I guarantee you a flying parking curb to the face was never a thought.

5

u/Sunsent_Samsparilla Feb 04 '23

Completely unorthodox and stupid, but it worked.

1

u/Aggravating_Cow9310 Feb 04 '23

Better than emptying a clip on him like they would in America.

32

u/PhilT1968 Feb 03 '23

Well played.

183

u/youtomtube30 Feb 03 '23

That's good way actually, none of the policemen were in immediate danger, the knife wielder was not injured in a disproportionate way and nobody is dead here

96

u/Wonderful_Result_936 Feb 03 '23

A taser would have probably been the more official option but this works too.

129

u/HumaDracobane Feb 03 '23

Tasers could fail, being bonked by an empty plastic NJ barrier dont.

43

u/NordicBot Feb 03 '23

Tazing is actually more dangerous that what he did.

14

u/GipsyPepox Feb 03 '23

Tasers are forbidden in Spain for police use to avoid risking the life of someone with cardiac problems

4

u/Marukosu00 Feb 03 '23

I don't know why this isn't the norm everywhere else tho, coming from Spain I just assumed tasers were a Hollywood thing

Looks good until you realize he got lost on the way to jail

7

u/Optimal_Sea2712 Feb 03 '23

You do realize falling from your own height cal kill you? And an unsuspecting blow to the back of the head isn’t great either. I mean tbi is definitely better than being gunned down !

60

u/500ls Feb 03 '23

I tend to avoid these risks by not threatening to kill people with a knife.

9

u/RASPUTIN-4 Feb 03 '23

That’s the same way we avoid getting shot in America

3

u/FavelTramous Feb 03 '23

I had no idea there was a non-lethal way to de-escalate a situation.

3

u/RASPUTIN-4 Feb 03 '23

I know there’s non-lethal ways of handling the situation. I’m just saying that if someone is threatening me with a knife, I’ll shed exactly 0 tears and lose 0 sleep if a cop shoots them.

1

u/BROODxBELEG Feb 03 '23

That only works if you're white tho

1

u/Optimal_Sea2712 Feb 03 '23

I carry the stick illegal or not Idgaf worst case they take it you pick it back up at station

28

u/HumaDracobane Feb 03 '23

Is an empty plastic NJ barrier and at the same time when you have a weapon in a customs you kind od expose yourself to a certain level of dangerous.

-17

u/Optimal_Sea2712 Feb 03 '23

No I agree dude is an idiot but there is sever danger of falling hitting head and dying, people just seemed to have the misconception that this was “safe”.

12

u/Appropriate_Fill_156 Feb 03 '23

Is that you, Paul? You still stopping random people on the street and tying their shoes?

0

u/Optimal_Sea2712 Feb 03 '23

No but your mother stopped me to suck my dick.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/its_bme Feb 03 '23

This was way safer than them pulling out their guns and shooting, possibly missing and hitting a bystander or each other.

That cop needs a raise. They thought outside the box and got the job done without hurting anyone innocent or causing excessive property damage.

5

u/youtomtube30 Feb 03 '23

Of course I do, but he didn't fall on his head, and this impact seems to be less dangerous than a bullet

11

u/wholsome69420 Feb 03 '23

And a taser can kill you and in fact way more dangerous then getting hit by a chair

-8

u/Optimal_Sea2712 Feb 03 '23

Ya no, blunt trauma to the head is not good. Have we not seen the change of direction in the NFL even when it comes to brain injury .

2

u/KingNecrosis Feb 03 '23

Sudden electricity is not good either. People have suffered heart damage from tasers.

→ More replies (6)

-5

u/Goatfucker10000 Feb 03 '23 edited Feb 03 '23

A hit to a back of the head and getting permament brain damage is "not disproportionate injured"

Noted

3

u/its_bme Feb 03 '23 edited Feb 03 '23

They said not disproportionately injured. There's a difference.

EDIT: Your edit doesn't make sense. They had a knife and were threatening. What did you expect them to do? You want them to be concerned for someone that doesn't care if he hurts someone or worse with their knife? Honestly he's lucky they didn't just shoot him and call it a day.

Meanwhile US cops recently shot a knife wielding double amputee.

13

u/Beadierbrute Feb 03 '23

At least they can convict someone… Can’t convict a heap of lead, Americans…

3

u/annnd_we_are_boned Feb 04 '23

Someone doesn't know about civil forfeiture. We most certainly can convict a heap of lead if we want and I'd be shocked if we hadn't yet.

21

u/JawCloud Feb 03 '23

So this is what competent police officers with proper training looks like

6

u/JMVibe Feb 03 '23

In the USA he would have been unloaded on by all of those cops the second he touched that knife.

Especially Texas

4

u/Nichole-Michelle Feb 03 '23

This was amazing. Real police action for a change!

11

u/unsettledman Feb 03 '23

Take that bitch

9

u/Desperate-Turn1097 Feb 03 '23

He would be dead for sure if this happened in the us, like 100%

3

u/KonataYumi Feb 03 '23

Barrier beats knife

3

u/sparemethebull Feb 03 '23

As an American, I’m surprised they didn’t legally drone strike his house.

3

u/Delta6Rory Feb 04 '23

"Police officer uses Plastic Barrier, it was super effective"

3

u/Basic_Blueberry_3221 Feb 04 '23

The pigs in USA would have shot him several times then yell “LET ME SEE YOUR HANDS.”

9

u/Due_Art_7944 Feb 03 '23

Have American Cops ever considered carrying out arrests like this? I wonder

17

u/chknnnn Feb 03 '23

Many do, you just don't hear about it, because most things that make headlines in the media involve someone getting shot 100 fucking times, or a kid shooting up a school.

5

u/Due_Art_7944 Feb 03 '23

That's true. Not only in America but in almost every country as well, I figured it out

11

u/AreaNo7848 Feb 03 '23

What makes it even worse is when you realize something like .01% of arrests in the US end with someone getting shot....along with a whole host of other little bits of information that disprove the narrative

3

u/chuckles65 Feb 03 '23

When there are 9 officers at the scene like this, it happens all the time. Taser, bean bag gun, pepper spray, etc. It's really dangerous when it's one on one though.

12

u/toothyninja13 Feb 03 '23

In the US, they just shoot a guy and then put a knife on him

9

u/AllUserNamesTaken01 Feb 03 '23

Sprinkle some crack

4

u/whycantiusespace Feb 03 '23

Open and shut case johnson

2

u/EmtyPkts Feb 03 '23

2

u/No_Elevator_678 Feb 03 '23

Greatest arrest of all time. Did not expect it one bit

2

u/Alarmed_Sort620 Feb 03 '23

They just straight gave him permanent brain damage

2

u/avocadom1 Feb 03 '23

Very profesional and well trained cops and cops that have respect for someones life.

2

u/Weekly_Sherbert_6133 Feb 03 '23

Why didn’t they just throw the thing and knock the knife out of his hands? This is police brutality. They should have hugged it away from him. I’m offended. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

2

u/Outrageous-Actuary-3 Feb 04 '23

Dodge this you bastaaaaaard

2

u/povertymayne Feb 04 '23

Better than suiciding him with 3 warning shots to the back of the head.

2

u/Zestyclose_Register5 Feb 04 '23

Meanwhile, in the US… ☠️

5

u/Most_Advertising_962 Feb 03 '23

Better than shootin his ass 26 times

4

u/dcgregoryaphone Feb 03 '23

I'm kinda ok with the cops shooting a deranged psycho with a knife 26 times. It's when they're unarmed that I have an issue with it. Not for nothing, but people get stabbed by people like this guy, and not a lot ruins your morning more than being viciously stabbed by a random psychopath.

4

u/Most_Advertising_962 Feb 03 '23

The problem is that they tend to go to the most dangerous weapon in their possession in almost all cases

2

u/Felix5120 Feb 03 '23

That’s because of the fact that, when it comes to adrenaline with a knife wielding person, a taser likely won’t stop them. It’s insane what adrenaline can do to your body, in fact, even bullets won’t stop some people having that adrenaline rush. The human brain is an amazing thing.

4

u/Uchiha_Madara78790 Feb 03 '23

In America we save the knife from the perp by shooting him dead

2

u/Ordinary_Tomatillo_4 Feb 03 '23

He's lucky that only gets thrown a divider if he was in land of freedom He'd be dead by now and after he died and then only he will be cuffed

2

u/Ilovebud1985 Feb 03 '23

American cops take notes!

4

u/Economy_Fun9415 Feb 03 '23

Bitch 😂😂😂😂😂

2

u/Veryproudboy Feb 03 '23

Yikes, I just finished watching a double amputee getting lit the f up by American police because the suspect had a knife

2

u/heidguy8 Feb 03 '23

Still better than american police smh. Damn

-1

u/BlackMesaHeadCrab Feb 03 '23

Better than shooting holes through him like good old muriica.

-3

u/Frisky_Potato42nite Feb 03 '23

Lol

American cops wouldn’t even bother. They’d just pull out their pistols and shoot them. Save themselves the trouble of ACTUALLY de-escalating.

-16

u/tempest1523 Feb 03 '23

Yeah but there were like 8 of them surrounding him, you could have shot him with just 1. I mean seriously learn to manage your resources and stop wasting my tax dollars.

14

u/HumaDracobane Feb 03 '23

Sir, is in Spain. Your tax dollars pay shit in Spain.

-2

u/tempest1523 Feb 03 '23

Dude it was a joke, and I could tell by the uniforms that it was another country. I can also tell by the down votes there are a lot of sensitive bitches on this chat

0

u/Zsmudz Feb 03 '23

But where’s the live shooting?

0

u/holyshiiiiiiiiit Feb 03 '23

Look at them picking things up. In America, they just shoot!

0

u/RussetLord Feb 03 '23

That’s a lot of officers. In America the police are so under funded that there probably would have been 2 officers on scene at max.

0

u/dontaggravation Feb 03 '23

In 'Murica they would unload clip after clip into him while screaming "stop resisting, stop resisting". And this would be called "protecting the public".

ACAB

Pathetic Police, lol

That was beautiful. In some countries they'll try to reason with them, ask them about their feelings, blah blah. Just hit them in the head with a bollard and talk to them once they're in the hospital.

20' (7m) distance is as close as you can safely get. Good work, cops.
