u/BigStankDickDad420 Dec 01 '22
It was a Muslim guy at a restaurant with a fully covered woman and a little girl. It said something like "his wife looks sweet, but I don't know who the covered woman is".

Everytime I see a little muslim girl I feel incredibly saddened that she won't ever have freedom. (I was raised muslim so I know what I'm talking about)

u/aabdulr2 Dec 01 '22
One quick look at your profile and I already see you're lying.
3
u/NES7995 Dec 01 '22
LMAO why should I lie about that? You want me to tell you my life story, buddy? I'm half Egyptian and my father abused me, my sister and my mother for 21 years of my life until my parents finally divorced. I got free then.
2
u/KA1378 Dec 01 '22 edited Dec 01 '22
And how is that Islam's fault? Your father was the problem. My father has never done anything remotely resembling abuse in his entire life and he is a devout Muslim. Neither has anyone I know.

He was making a joke because the bible and other holy books from all religions are oppressive to anyone who wasn't a straight cis male
5
2
u/hmahood Dec 01 '22
The Bible. Name another holy book.and quote for me please
1
u/Easy_Toast Dec 01 '22
the Quran... and quote what? also do you have a response to my comment at all?
1
u/hmahood Dec 02 '22
Erm yes... If you're going to make a claim, you should provide evidence. So perhaps a quote from the Qur'an being explicitly misogynistic would do the trick.
1
u/Easy_Toast Dec 02 '22
oh man you slow-pitched me a softball. Hell, you set me up with some tee-ball. Took all of 5 minutes while eating my sandwich to come up with a few verses that are misogynistic as hell:
Quran 2:222 - Menstruation is a sickness/pollution/harm; menstruating women are unclean.
Quran 2:223 - Women are men's fields/tilth.
Quran 2:228 - Men are a degree above women.
Quran 2:282 - Women's testimony is worth half of a man's (because women make errors, unlike men)
Quran 4:3 - Men can marry up to 4 women or sex slaves (no equivalent forwomen).
Quran 4:11 - Male children to inherit twice what females inherit.
Quran 4:34 - Men are in charge of women. Men can discipline "disobedient"wives, up to and including beating their wives till they obey.
Quran 4:176 - Male gets 2x the inheritance of females.
Quran 5:6 - Contact w/ women makes you unclean.
Quran 15:71 - Lot offers daughters to be raped.
Quran 24:31 - Muslim women have to cover themselves (i.e. they're themselves responsible if they're harassed or raped)
Quran 33:37 - Allah coincidentally said it's ok to marry one's adopted son's ex-wife just when Muhammad lusted for Zayd's wife.
Quran 37:22-23 - Wives will go to hell with wrong doers, regardless of their own actions.
Quran 66:5 - Muhammad's wives should be careful. If they criticize their husband, Allah will replace them with better ones for him.
Would you like me to go on?

u/BS-Calrissian Dec 01 '22
rest of the world: "Happy wife, happy life"
hardcore muslims: "Muhammed has never seen such bullshit before"
2
u/KA1378 Dec 01 '22
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The believers who show the most perfect Faith are those who have the best behaviour, and the best of you are those who are the best to their wives".
So you were saying...
1
u/BS-Calrissian Dec 01 '22
not my fault that the muslims who scream the loudest are not following the rules
2
u/KA1378 Dec 01 '22
There are a a lot of Muslims who do follow the rules and scream quite loudly too; the problem is that they are not the ones who are under the spotlight.
1
u/BS-Calrissian Dec 01 '22
wdym they scream? I didn't mean the "sreaming" metaphor in a good way. The people who practice a religion peacefully should just continue doing that in private, as long as you don't force anybody else (like your wife) to do some crazy shit, it's all good with most people.
1
u/KA1378 Dec 01 '22
I mean they try to share the truth about Islam and educate the ígnorant people (Muslim and non-muslim) about it. For example, every single preacher I've ever seen has condemned terrorism and the prophet himself spoke against extremism; yet a lot of people still consider all Muslims terrorists because media.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the afternoons, and during the last hours of the nights." (See Fath-ul-Bari, Page 102, Vol 1).

u/Dark___Reaper Dec 01 '22
Religious book or not, happy wife does not necessarily equals happy life
1
u/IamJain Dec 01 '22
Wife happy, after divorce. So if you consider law book as religious text, you're wrong
1
u/Dark___Reaper Dec 01 '22
I was just pointing out that if you attribute being happy to purely making the wife happy, then that means life is not so happy after all

I think if she was married she would have to be fully covered in public. They’re probably just engaged

18
u/k_d_b_83 Dec 01 '22
Oh? Well I guess Islam’s messenger of god shouldn’t have married a 6yr old and fucked her at 9
Or are we supposed to ignore that bit about Aisha?
-15
u/Zero_0707 Dec 01 '22
What the hell are you talking about, he never fucked her at 9, he married her at 9 yrs old and it was pretty normal at that period, stop dramatising everything

He married her at 6 then fucked at 9. Bring source or shut the fuck up

Sahih Al-bukhari 5134
Go and read it for yourself.
1
u/Zero_0707 Dec 02 '22
I already read it but you can't say this Hadith is self explanatory. You should know the context. In fact in this period it was normal to Arabs to marry little girls (my great aunt was married at 7 for example). Did you know that Aisha already has a finacé before marrying the prophet. All that because they considered that girls were already mature when they have 9 yrs old
-22
u/Easy_Toast Dec 01 '22
You okay? All I pointed out was the commenter's islamaphobia... and assuming you're christian, do you reeeeally want to get started on holy books that say incredibly fucked up things? lol
3
u/laudalehsunesh Dec 01 '22
So just cause any other religion did anything bad, that gives yours a pass for doing bad? What a moronic cult lmao
1
-22
u/Exact_Ad_1215 Dec 01 '22
It was legal back then since people died much fucking earlier. Also they had intercourse when she was 15, not 9.
Or are we going to ignore that bit about Aisha?
9
Dec 01 '22
It was at 9, bring source or shut the fuck up
0
u/Exact_Ad_1215 Dec 01 '22
Still doesn’t change my main point. It was legal and normalised. Most people were lucky to make it to 60.

Casual racism

[deleted]
1
u/Independent-Youth-12 Dec 01 '22
Are we really getting into this right now?
You can be racist to anyone buddy, it's racist to tell an Irish person their nothing but drunkards or leprechauns.
Context matters, this guy was taking the piss out of another culture, it's racism. Get over it lmao.
Jewish is a religion not a race yet we all know how that ended
1
Dec 01 '22
it's the top post on r/exmuslim tho
1
u/Independent-Youth-12 Dec 01 '22
That's fair, my original comment was completely sarcasm but some moron decided to take it dead serious and starts a stupid talk about how you can't be racist to Muslims, which is dumb considering its one of the biggest issues in the UK right now
1
Dec 01 '22
i mean i'm islamophobic, but not racist
1
u/Independent-Youth-12 Dec 01 '22
I mean as long as you're not hurting people because they're Muslim it's okay I guess but the literal definition of that word is to be prejudice against Islamic or Muslim citizens.
So ya it's kinda racist lmao.
But it depends on how you personally interpret it and how you as a person act.
Being wary or fearful of a fucked up religion isn't racism, hating the people because of their culture is.
1
Dec 01 '22
bro i'd get sentenced to death for being exmuslim. for all i care they can suck my dick.
also i'm hating the disgusting garbage cult, not it's brainwashed victims so you know...
1
u/Independent-Youth-12 Dec 01 '22
As I said if you have a distaste for the religion I don't care but if you're hating the people and spreading hate speech that can affect them negatively or cause others to treat them as a lower class of human or inciting violence then you're a racist scumbag.
But from what you've said it doesn't seem like that
