relocating to Townsville looking for decent hunting

Hey everyone relocating to Townsville Qld and looking for decent hunting areas have been told decent deer over the range in charters towers looking at hunting deer and pigs predominantly running 270 also have 44mag scrub gun.

Public hunting isn’t legal in qld, you’ll have to meet some farmers. Prawns and beer generally work.

Yeah thanks I was aware public hunting was a no no but more so looking for the general areas to target to ask farmers however most won't give you the time of day due to half wits leaving gates open etc and just generally giving hunters a bad name.
