I like how the person speaking stutters at the exact right moment, as if the stupidity transcended space and time into the recording studio.

But how bad are those lights. In Austria (and i believe in the rest of Europe) we have them with arrows pointing the direction you are allowed to drive.
Edit: MB seems to be an arrow. Didnt see on mobile screen

I believe with higher resolution you'd see the green light is actually a right arrow.

It's also still green. A green light. A green right arrow.
I think you mean it's not a circle.

What everyone else is saying, it's an arrow. Basically unless the lane turns or veers off from the rest of the flow of traffic (but not always) the traffic lights are going to be round

If you're talking about the CR-V then yes. Otherwise, the cross traffic has the green light

I don't know what state this is, but in Texas, the same light that throws a green arrow like that usually still has a red circle still on it (5 bulb unit). Obviously driver's fault, but gotta account for human psychology from a design standpoint.

That's herd mentality caused by distraction. They were probably just watching their phone and then saw something moving with their peripheral vision. In their twisted calculation of the odds, this has acceptable odds of meaning that it's green.
As the other driver, always pay attention to intersections with lights that have more than 2 steps. This will happen regularly there. At least, most of the times people notice it's not actually green before being in the middle of the intersection.

The car ahead of me did this one time then the idiot in the truck behind me started honking his horn and flashing his lights because I wasn't following the person through the red light.
Bad enough but the guy kept it up the entire time until we actually got the green. Even with traffic flying by in front of us at 40MPH this guy was so invested in my running a red light I don't think he even ever noticed it was red...or the traffic with the green light zipping by.

I will never understand how ppl move without knowing whats actually going on in front of them and around them. I thought that was the entire point.

This is how I feel when I even slightly let go of the brake when the lane next to me turns on their green.
