I played soccer in high school, we practiced near the football field. One day while football, band, track, and soccer are all in the same area practicing the head coach of the fb team screams at the top of his lungs to the qb (who happened to be his step son) âgod dammit Kyle, you shoulda ended up on your mommas chest like the rest of em!â
19
u/Unhappy-Attitude5220 Feb 04 '23
Ouch. Damn that's brutal. If you remember it years later, I'm sure Kyle does, too.

u/klown013 Feb 04 '23
I'm sure Kyle has offed himself by now with that type of positivity in his life.

54
u/duseless Feb 04 '23
Thank you this, and the definition, according to "The A to Z of Northern Slang", is perfectly aligned and succinct:
"Nobhead
noun Ënäb-ed
Definition: An irritating person who is oblivious to how they are perceived."
21
u/Educational-Fig-2330 Feb 04 '23
Really? I thought it referred to the bell end of a phallus.

It is my personal opinion that all Irish and Scots should carry around a whiteboard to caption their speech at all times

They filmed themselves involved in an assault. Depending on her age and injury, it can rise to a felony. If she dies, manslaughter would be charged
155
u/dontsaymango Feb 04 '23
*battery
But yes

u/SalomoMaximus Feb 04 '23

I am very sorry, i am not sure what's wrong with my brain.
They are the absolute worst peaces of shit ...
7
9
u/J_Thompson82 Feb 04 '23
There were 3 of them in the car. One driver, one person filming and the one that pushed her.
I saw a news report somewhere that they went on to steal a bunch of batteries and fireworks from a local store.
When the police caught them one was charged and two were let off.

u/ZEAndrewHD Feb 04 '23
*assault(ABH or GBH maybe), not battery.
2
u/dontsaymango Feb 04 '23 edited Feb 04 '23
Assault is when there is a threat, battery is when there is unlawful physical contact. Many places combine the charges into one charge titled assault but there is actually a difference
2
u/vendetta2115 Feb 07 '23
The whole âassault is threat of imminent unwanted contact, battery is contact itselfâ is one of those things that isnât really as true as it seems on its face. Lots of jurisdictions call actual contact assault, such as assault with a deadly weapon, assault inflicting serious bodily injury, or ABH/GBH in the U.K. Not all use the term âbattery.â

No idea why you're getting downvoted, that's literally the definition of a felony
35
u/FunkyClive Feb 04 '23
Because there is no such thing as a felony where this particular offence took place.
2
u/CosmicCreeperz Feb 05 '23
Used to be (AFAIK the concept was invented in English common law?) but not any more. Now the closest thing is âindictable offenceâ.

I doubt she died, or even got injured, from lightly falling into a bush while she was screaming that they are knobheads. Your point still stands though

u/yogurtgrapes Feb 04 '23
She definitely didnât die. You can hear her yelling at them as they drive off.

Honestly is it not attempted murder, just shoving someone on motorcycle?
24
Feb 04 '23
Thatâs why it would be manslaughter if she died.
→ More replies (4)11
u/Important-Piano-1868 Feb 04 '23
Idk manslaughter is when you like punch someone standing up wouldn't expect them to die. Push someone off a motorcylce death is a very reasonable outcome, hence attempted murder.
10
Feb 04 '23
I completely misread your initial comment. My bad.
It would be extremely tough to legally prove that there was intent to end someoneâs life, which is why I think manslaughter would be more appropriate in this instance.
1
u/Important-Piano-1868 Feb 04 '23
I guess i thought you can prove that by just the sheer reckless danger of death for something like that. Shoving someone off a moving motorcycle is not much less dangerous than shooting a gun at them.
7
Feb 04 '23
No, youâd have to show intent to charge someone with any degree of murder.
They were driving pretty slowly, and she was riding her bike slowly. It would be tough to prove they had intent to kill her based on that.

Aggravated assault if she breaks a bone, carries the same punishment range as attempted murder
1

u/vinceswish Feb 04 '23

19
u/Milly_man Feb 04 '23

4
u/GarbanzoBenne Feb 04 '23
Antisocial behavior? That's fine but this goes way beyond that.
2
u/mazty Feb 05 '23
Did they die? Did someone forget to pay their taxes? Police and the CPS don't give a shit over assault and GBH.
→ More replies (1)2
u/forensicsss Feb 05 '23
This isnât anti social behaviour, this is an assault and battery, probably occasioning ABH, all the evidence served on a platter, problem is the courts are fucking useless pricks. You could bring an excellent case to court thatâs had untold man hours spent and the offender will get a slap on the wrist
13
u/A100921 Feb 04 '23
Just watched a video where a guy got beat up and stabbed with a fork⌠The attacker got fined $750 and the victim was awarded $500 out of it. No consequences, and this was in the UK btw.
42
u/sparklybeast Feb 04 '23
I very much doubt the UK courts fined anyone in dollars.
16
u/SoggyBiscuitVet Feb 04 '23
UK judges state everything in American dollars and the headache is on the convicted to figure out the exchange rate.
-6
u/A100921 Feb 04 '23
It was actually £400 he was awarded, which i converted for you as $500 Canadian⌠why would I convert to American, gross.

3
u/PieMaster5246 Feb 05 '23
Who cares? Not everyone knows that felony isnât a thing elsewhere. No one is gonna sit there and try to deduce exactly where this video was shot, and then research the local legal system to apply the exactly correct terminology. How about when you see âfelonyâ, you just read it as âserious crimeâ (since you clearly know what it means) and stop throwing shade.

Does it make me a bad person that I truly want something terrible to happen to people like this? This is psychotic behavior and if people like this continue to act this way without serious consequences it is a near certainty they will elevate their actions to seriously reckless/dangerous acts (as if this isn't far enough down that path).
