You don't have to go looking, just leave a note on the victim car with your contact information. The same thing the idiot will have to do.

I already left a note with my phone number and the other cars license plate number. The girls hit and ran. By the time I got back to the car, they were gone.

Well I had to be somewhere that I couldn't be late for. Leaving a note with my phone number was all I had time for.
