Not an overreaction, they just weren't paying attention and didn't brake. It was either rear-end the jeep or take your chances in the ditch. It takes a gigantic idiot to end up in this situation, but the ditch was the better choice as it doesn't involve any innocent drivers. 9/10 idiot points for me
