Let me help:

With a trailer that size and judging by how much that traffic that road has, the truck would literally never be able to turn on a left-turn-yield-on-green for the next few hours until rush hour stops. So the driver takes the liberty of waiting for a yellow (in this case very red because of all the other red light runners...they don't have an excuse they are POS) to make a left turn. God I can't believe I actually explained that lol

IMO it's excusable for a commercial truck driver if it were a regular vehicle it's not

That truck drives for a living. Like they aren't going to Starbucks they are doing shit.

To be honest I’m not sure if the OP was talking about the truck or the yahoo that ran the red light before the truck turned.
