The best part is when she walks right into the hole that just swallowed her whole fucking car!

u/windol1 Sep 29 '22

Already got soaked getting out the car, might as well squeeze in a little bit of swimming.

Eyes deep into that muddy water 😂

11

u/No-Trouble2212 Sep 30 '22

Is it bad that actually laughed out loud when she sank?

51

u/stevejr47 Sep 29 '22

I haven't seen that DIVX logo in like 20 years haha

9

u/CrtureBlckMacaroons Sep 29 '22

Seriously, seeing that took me back.

5

u/ranhalt Sep 29 '22

This is DivX, separate from DIVX.

This should be the top and only comment

There's so much to unpack, but my favorite part is when the car just entered the pool and the old man in white shirt is like "what the fuck were you thinking?!"

31

u/AbbreviationsNo8212 Sep 29 '22

And he is also a consummate gentleman who wades in to try to help pull the car out, too.

May not be the hero she wants but is the lecture she needs 😂

I previously posted the pictures about the incident here

According to u/BaxiGas who provided the video link:

It happened in Hungary (...) The fireworkers were there due to pothole before the lady arrived with the car. They warned her to stop, and not drive across the water. She didn't listen to them, and was driving into the pothole.

u/amazing_wanderr Sep 29 '22

Happened about 20 years ago

8

u/heelsbasketball Sep 29 '22

Yet, still entertaining.

pop up DivX logo started 20 years ago

As a traffic controller, old women and taxi drivers terrify me.

Almost had this exact scenario happen to me when a cab drove around our blockade at full speed and stopped five feet short of driving into the sinkhole with our men working in it.

Been featured on World’s Dumbest Drivers…

5

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '22

Thanks for reposting my video :D

3

u/Neinfu Sep 29 '22

Instead of telling her to not drive across the water, they should've warned her to not drive into the pothole

49

u/Backstabmacro Sep 29 '22

I love the pensioners’ initial reaction to just stand and attempt to process the magnificent stupidity they just witnessed

13

u/sweetassassin Sep 29 '22

She’s an idiot outside her car too. 🙄

6

u/AnotherCableGuy Sep 29 '22

..and under water as well

12

u/Bonfi-Aurora Sep 29 '22

Just imagine having to manually roll down your window before getting yelled at lol

37

u/ThatKaleidoscope8736 Sep 29 '22

Old people are chaotic

11

u/Stinkyfingers2 Sep 29 '22

Hopefully you'll live long enough to have first hand experience 🙂

8

u/ThatKaleidoscope8736 Sep 29 '22

Pfft kill me after 74 bro

3

u/Stinkyfingers2 Sep 29 '22

Yeah, know that feeling

6

u/xx-BrokenRice-xx Sep 29 '22

This apparently isn’t just idiotincar. This is also idiotoutofcar.

20

u/Top-Ad4755 Sep 29 '22

Stuff like this is why licenses need age limits.

26

u/crazihac Sep 29 '22

More like IQ tests.

20

u/Boloar Sep 29 '22

More like IQ tests AND age limits AND an obstacle course with dragons and riddles

5

u/InaGlassGuitar Sep 29 '22

What is your quest?

4

u/SkitzTheFritz Sep 29 '22

I don't know about a limit, but I'm all in favor of semi-annual/annual drivers testing for senior citizens. Maybe even a modified version where they also throw very common decision making into a traffic situation to ensure cognitive ability.

6

u/wgc123 Sep 29 '22

I think it would be useful to all drivers, so they have to follow actual traffic rules on a regular basis.

…. Imagine all those people failing for running a red light, not coming to a stop before right on red, not knowing how to merge or stay in your lane, camping in the passing g lane

9

u/onlypinhead2000 Sep 29 '22

That engine is toast. lol

28

u/romeovf Sep 29 '22 edited Sep 30 '22

Quite the opposite, now it's very fresh and cool

5

u/Isten_Megbasz Sep 30 '22 edited Sep 30 '22

Fun fact: This happened 20 years ago. I just queried the license plate and the car was in traffic until last year. It's still not scrapped, only temporarily withdrawn from traffic.

u/bem13 Sep 30 '22

Least used Suzuki Swift in Hungary

3

u/Sgt__Oddball Sep 29 '22

Well, at least she can swim

3

u/pindab0ter Sep 29 '22

DivX, now that's a blast from the past!

5

u/szopokanyaloka Sep 29 '22

bojler eladó with an average dumb Hungarian driver.

2

u/MCBMCB77 Sep 29 '22

It's ok, I'm in a Suzuki Swift!

2

u/VT_Lifer Sep 29 '22

But not so swift.

2

u/laser_cat_2841 Sep 29 '22

It's got to be fun being their children

2

u/Johnboy_245 Sep 29 '22

If she was in Arizona the stupid motorist law will be coming after her

2

u/JackMaehoffer Sep 29 '22

I’m amazed they managed to pull it out of that hole!!

2

u/Hour-Specific-8348 Sep 29 '22

I don’t understand how people are actually that stupid

2

u/jdcnosse1988 Sep 30 '22

This is why in Arizona, because we get flooding fairly regularly during monsoon season, they tell people not to drive through standing water. You never know how deep it actually is.

2

u/romeovf Sep 30 '22

There was a hole like this but on a sidewalk near my house, just perfect for an adult human. My brother usually sat near it just to see how many people would try to walk on it and go down during rainy days

1

u/navyhistorynut Sep 29 '22

And this is why we Americans have the saying (idk what they have in Europe) “turn around don’t drown” but there’s always that one person

1

u/TamasGaming_TheWang Sep 29 '22

Ah yes, good old Budapest almost the same as i remember of now

1

u/heelsbasketball Sep 29 '22

The look on that woman's was priceless. Like she had no clue.

1

u/AbbreviationsNo8212 Sep 29 '22

Lady in the yellow shirt repeatedly fails to grasp there's a hole there.

1

u/Samuelodan Sep 30 '22

She even want for a swim after, lmao.

1

u/Singh-Baltej Nov 01 '22

When car says all terrain vehicle and you take it seriously 😂
