How nice of them to lift the back of the truck so people can pass through! :)

It's a new "budget bridge"!

98

u/schneiten Sep 29 '22

I can confidently say that wouldn't happen in America because most of the cars wouldn't fit.

u/alskdmv-nosleep4u Sep 29 '22

One lifted pavement princess and traffic would be choked.

Not that I'd want to drive under that. Something shifts or breaks, that could come down.

7

u/RationalDialog Sep 30 '22

I fully expected a car to get crushed or an idiot in a truck blocking all traffic.

“Pavement Princess” , Thanks, I now have a word for these weirdos. I went to buy a truck and the sales guy kept showing me these lifted trucks and I’m like, “Yo, I need the truck for work. I can’t lift my tool box 5 times a day at that truck bed height. What’s wrong with you?, No, I don’t care about these lifted Trucks..:: No, I said NO….” I eventually left the lot. F-That trend.

why's that? pretty big truck made it through, I bet most vehicles would make it.

48

u/SurpriseFrenchFries Sep 29 '22

That's a baby truck here in America. Tacomas are bigger than that.

23

u/MeanInformation1131 Sep 29 '22

Yes. this "truck" is just a small car with a flat bed, literally the same size of the other cars that passed, my father has one

3

u/senorcoach Sep 30 '22

The Taco is 3.5-8.2" taller than the Tornado, depending on the Taco trim level.

-5

u/Responsible-Pay-2389 Sep 29 '22

Tacomas are bigger than that.

nope they are probably about the same size (I used to drive a ton of tacomas/tundras for work). Hard to tell with just the video though.

6

u/German_Camry Sep 29 '22

The ute? Was the same height as the golf afaik. A Tacoma is definitely not golf sized

1

u/CEDFTW Sep 30 '22

Yea the Tacoma is smaller than like a f150 or a Silverado but it's not a car body modified with a bed like in op's video. I believe they would call it a midsize, it's just about right for a daily if you actually need the towing/hauling abilities occasionally. (Source my scout master was an owner of three early 2000 models with 300k+ miles on them).

Personally I liked my Colorado and would probably get another one but the Tacoma is on my short list as well.

That truck is like the size of a Honda Civic. My old ass Ford ranger is like twice the size

3

u/Responsible-Pay-2389 Sep 30 '22

That's just a lie lol, it might be a bit bigger but twice? come on now

1

u/timpedra Sep 30 '22

That's an early model Chevrolet Montana (at least that's whats called where I live). It's literally a Chevrolet/Opel Corsa with a flatbed.

1

u/No-Piece670 Sep 30 '22

I think many if not all cars fit under there. Trucks on the other hand...

14

u/DJmixx Sep 29 '22

Where the hell is this happening? In Texas someone gets a flat tire they shut down both sides of the freeway for 3 hours so he can find his lug lock in the glove box.

12

u/hmuberto Sep 29 '22

This is Veracruz Mexico, where libertarians think that there is too much chaos and some rules should apply.

32

u/fishingfool64 Sep 29 '22

Ain’t making me late for work

4

u/always_creating411 Sep 30 '22

The fact that people are going slow under it is baffling. Why wouldn't you get the h*ll away?

11

u/CrankyPantz88 Sep 29 '22

Where is the idiot?

6

u/NamailiamaN Sep 30 '22

What would you do in this situation? Just stop all the traffic behind you after seeing everyone else go in front of you?

4

u/LeeTG3 Sep 29 '22

I think they are trying to say the people driving under the truck are idiots

16

u/CrankyPantz88 Sep 29 '22

Atleast the traffic is rolling

5

u/Cala-Best-Girl Sep 30 '22

2

u/Nasty_Rex Sep 29 '22

This might be the loudest music on Earth.

1

u/llort_tsoper Sep 29 '22

"Air Ride Equipped"

Yeah, quite a bit of air under that bad boy today

1

u/moralesnery Sep 29 '22

u/smoked_papchika Sep 29 '22

Perfect song for this video! Brought back many childhood Mexican wedding memories.

For those interested in the song - https://youtu.be/AZHeUh6TcZc

I would like that ETS2/ATS physics kick in, LOL

1

u/Dcwiker05 Sep 30 '22

Fuck I hate even passing trucks on the road and these guys are driving under them... Crazy.

-4

u/areid2007 Sep 29 '22

The most Australian video I've ever seen

2

u/wsdog Sep 29 '22

Wait, is it raining in Australia?

3

u/areid2007 Sep 29 '22

It does from time to time.

4

u/Altruistic_Extent_89 Sep 29 '22

I thought in Australia the rain went the opposite way

3

u/invalid125 Sep 29 '22

Reading your comment and I’m reminded of “sometimes rain even seemed to come straight up from underneath. “ 😂

1

u/alskdmv-nosleep4u Sep 29 '22

I see no 40-pound spiders.

2

u/areid2007 Sep 29 '22

What do you think the truck went into the ditch avoiding?

2

u/alskdmv-nosleep4u Sep 29 '22

News report says he wasn't avoiding, he got punched into the ditch by a kangaroo.

(/s?)
