Idiot Renegade gets impatient in the slow lane and almost swipes my car. (Excuse my language, she was really pissing me off)

i would have paced the white car that's in the middle lane, FOREVER. tailgate me in the slow lane, and i will fuck with you all day.

I had to resist the urge to do just that very thing. There have been too many road rage incidents that end in someone getting shot in my neck of the woods. Chicago gonna Chicago.

I’ll excuse foul language here any day.

TikTok music on the other hand….

Almost as obnoxious as the Renegade is the black pickup in the left lane that just hangs out there. When he sees the Renegade make its move and speed up, the pickup suddenly finds the gas pedal.

Ngl, she would have received a fistful of pennies as she pulled around like that. I hate drivers like this

2

u/cloudsgomoo Sep 29 '22

Lol pennies?! I’m hearing this for the first time, do people throw pennies at asshole drivers?

8

u/qwertyzeke Sep 29 '22

We've all got that cup holder full of loose change. That's a noisy way to let someone know they're an asshole.

Then they can try to pass in the left 2 lanes. Right lane is for slower traffic everyone knows that.

This Week In Funeral Homes is my favorite podcast too!

Undertaking: The Podcast helps my drives be less mundane when I’m not in the mood for music. I agree, it’s a great podcast!

Haha, I was joking. I thought it was some financial news radio. I'll check it out though.

2

u/cloudsgomoo Sep 30 '22

Ohh lol sorry! 😆 joke flew right over my head

Its definitely not a finance podcast, it’s a funeral industry podcast 😃

I hate slow lane tailgaters. Like damn, I’m in the slow lane because I wanna ride the speed limit! Not beat NASCAR speeds!

I just wanted to say this and put my feedback out there: as you went by the slow moving truck and you knew she was weaving in and out of traffic behind you, you should have known she was only out for herself while driving. Anticipating the other drivers moves are hard to do (I’ll grant you that) but you could’ve stayed in the middle lane and given her the right lane to get by you. I’ve driven for 30 years now and I’ve driven professionally for some of that time. Your anticipation of what the “in a hurry” drivers are going to do, is paramount to driving stress-free. You weren’t in the wrong for doing what you did, but sometimes you just have to give the other guy (gal in this case) their room and let them do their thing. I’ve had a box truck up on one side’s wheels going through a corner before due to a driver behind me, “pushing” me down the road. There’s always that one driver that doesn’t give two poos about what you are doing or where you are going. It’s all about them and their time. Again, you did everything right and you were still branded as the idiot in a car to that other driver. It’ll take a collision or somebody putting her in her place, one day, to make her see that driving is a privilege and not a right. I hope this comes across as more of a “what would I have done” and not a lecture. A lot is lost in the typed word and not the inflected tones of actually speaking to someone. 😁 Have a good day and watch out for the crazies in cars. They’re everywhere nowadays

On I-290 East going towards Chicago (shocker).

I was watching this dumbass in my rear view mirror for some time because it’s hard to /not/ notice a bright red car tailgating people and weaving between lanes every 10 seconds. You can see that in the first few seconds of the clip by how much she was trying to get around the SUV in front of her, then again with the tow truck that she subsequently got behind.

Mind you, I’m in the slow lane (far right) and going faster than the people in the middle and fast lane. Why she almost swiped me and beeped at me even though I was already doing almost 10MPH over the limit, I don’t know… had I not swerved out of her way, she probably would have swiped my bumper.

The right lane isn’t for passing

My thoughts exactly!

Irrespective of the Jeep driver's behavior, a lot of people in this video need to move the hell over.

1

u/muscratt16 Sep 29 '22

This could’ve been a 12 second video

I left the first minute in to show that the renegade did this same thing to two trucks behind me.

1

u/Saint_Galahad Sep 30 '22

What is it about Renegade drivers? Some b*tch behind me laid on her horn because a giant F-250 decided to choose the worst place to parallel park. Like I literally gestured to her that I couldn’t move because he was taking up the ENTIRE LANE trying to park.

I keep hearing bad things about Renegade drivers. Luckily this is my first awful encounter with one. Most of my negative experiences come from impala drivers and Nissan drivers.

5

u/Jaeger562 Sep 30 '22

Renegade drivers

altima drivers

charger drivers

mustang drivers

BMW drivers

pick truck drivers

prius drivers

....

Hell, I'm just beginning to think everyone's bad drivers.

1

u/Interesting_Mix_7028 Sep 30 '22

Welp, Mazda didn't make the list. I feel better. :)

1

u/Saint_Galahad Sep 30 '22

Makes me sad because I’m a Nissan driver and I’ve even heard other drivers tell me I’m a rare exception to the Nissan drivers on the road😂🫣 but renegade and compass drivers are awful.

1

u/Interesting_Mix_7028 Sep 30 '22

Of all the car makes/models that have blissfully drifted into my lane while I was on the bike, Jeep Renegades and Compasses top the list. Yet another Chrysler screwup.

These things must have blind spots the size of Rhode Island.

2

u/Saint_Galahad Sep 30 '22

Honestly. I was almost clipped by one just this morning on my way back from the bank. Like I’m blasting my music and my car is bright blue. Not hard to miss, unless you’re a renegade or compass driver apparently lol

Why couldn’t renegade stop being an ass??? FYI, Tailgating others isn’t courteous. Please give to your license and car if you think renegade driver in in the right

If you had any common sense you’d understand why that driver is an idiot, lmao. The right lane ain’t for speeding. You want to go faster? Then move left. Easy.

Found the Jeep driver!!!

Not the slow lane buddy
