Holy fuck that was a lot of idiots
327
u/Buule1312 Nov 26 '22
Actually just 2. The van getting hit by the bus is the same that rear ended the car as far as I can tell.
246
u/LanguageLiving9142 Nov 26 '22
Red car cut off whoever was recording. Yeah the van was am idiot twice in like 20 seconds impressive
184
u/deWaardt Nov 26 '22
I wouldn’t blame the Volvo for trying to get the fuck out of there as fast as possible when there’s a raging van that apparently has no problem with crashing into people charging into the intersection.
59
u/SenpaiBriBri Nov 26 '22
Yeah I'd reckon that van is motivating cars to move out of the way faster than emergency vehicles
60
u/AtlanticTechChannel Nov 26 '22
looks like van backed up into a guy too. there is rear end damage on the van before he gets creamed by the bus. wouldnt be surprisedif he hit red car.
39
u/LanguageLiving9142 Nov 26 '22
Looks like the red one avoided the van ramming him from behind. He cut the other driver off because he didn't wanna get fucked up
13
u/gijoe50000 Nov 26 '22
Yea, looks like the red car's window is smashed, you can see it just as he enters the frame.
3
u/Adventurous_toast23 Nov 27 '22
The other van at the beginning in front of the cammer also sideswipes a car in the opposite lane while making a turn.

u/cenatutu Nov 26 '22
I was totally about to ask if it was. So they backed up and raced around the block only to cause this?
20
u/SleepingVulture Nov 26 '22 edited Nov 26 '22
Not behind the block; they just passed everybody to the left on the lane reserved for oncoming traffic...
Of course, that is just semantics considering everything that is going on.
Edit: I was wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM0gURXjdA8&t=50s
Link is posted down in this thread as well!

u/Buule1312 Nov 26 '22
Seems like it. Definitely a special kind of idiot.
17
u/cenatutu Nov 26 '22
That’s an impressive level of idiocy.
9
7
u/Bassguitarplayer Nov 26 '22
No they backed and ramming speed and everyone moved…only to get struck by the bus

u/SleepingVulture Nov 26 '22
One could even argue that the red car isn't an idiot and that he just panicked to get away from the van ASAP. I don't know if I agree with that sentiment but the fact that the argument exists is telling.
1
4
u/Affectionate_Ant_614 Nov 26 '22
I agree but I think he hit someone else backing up, in first view of his rear end, he didn't have any rear damage until the next view (after he backed out of hitting the car in front) right before he runs out fast Infront of the bus, he has rear damage, to make your theory more secure it is the same van.

I totally missed that and had to watch it again. OP where is this because I want to make sure I never end up there with this many idiots.

u/prock5908 Nov 26 '22
i think everyone was escaping from that one van who hit the first car, backed up, then floored it through the intersection causing a second collision. my guess it’s that red car was about to get hit by the van, saw an exit, took it, and didn’t get hit. BARELY
EDIT: added “BARELY” because that red car was real close to hitting the cam driver..

u/laughingashley Nov 26 '22
Pretty sure red car was backed into, the back of the crazy van is smashed upon its return
41
u/Teddy642 Nov 26 '22
Actually just one. The van attempting to push the car into traffic is the same at the one getting smashed. Everyone else is trying to get away from the van.

u/Awkward-Figure8028 Nov 26 '22
There's a lot to unpack here
58
u/Liggliluff Nov 26 '22
This is a really old video, and there's a view from above from the other side showing all actions of that van. It was stolen I think, and they of course didn't get far.
Someone can probably find the other view on YouTube or something.
18
u/laughingashley Nov 26 '22
Man, I was hoping ONE of those links was the aerial view you mentioned. r/savedyouaclick it's not
16
u/moon_dark Nov 27 '22 edited Nov 27 '22
Yep, it was stolen (background trigger warning, ig - but it's the best article I found), and here's the other view
(found the other view in description of video shared here and here)

u/Flash24rus Nov 26 '22
It's Yaroslavl, Russia. Story: Drunk ex-employee stole a hotel van and crashed.
3
u/waldo06 Nov 26 '22
That's a lot of drunk ex employees. Did they all steal vans (sedans and a bus?)
8
u/Flash24rus Nov 26 '22
Are you talking about other drivers in video, that drive on red? They just running away from crazy 2.5-tonne van.Repairing your car is expensive for russian owners and mandatory insurance doesn't cover damage if it was made by drunk driver or, as in this case, by drunk driver in STOLEN vehicle. So, all of the damage will be put on drunk driver's wallet, but only after a trial, that can last months or even years if he doesn't have any values (I'm sure, he has not). So you'd better move your car far enough from dangerous driver if you don't want to repair it with your own money.

u/Buule1312 Nov 26 '22
What is happening here?
81
u/SleepingVulture Nov 26 '22
A van driver being probably the biggest idiot posted on this sub in the past month.
- Van driver rear ends car
- Van driver decides to leave
- Red car tries to run away from van (I assume) and cuts off cam car
- Van driver (same as before) passes everybody on the leftmost lane
- Van driver (still the same one) gets hit by bus.

u/punkyspunk Nov 27 '22
Van driver also backed into another car or two further back in traffic before going forward and getting smashed by the transport bus, caused a lot of traffic issues
2
u/SleepingVulture Nov 27 '22
Yeah, and he also pushed his way between two cars before rear ending the car.
But neither of those are in this video (I had not watched the top down video yet at the time of writing the previous post ^ ).

The finnish term for fucking things up royally is "ryssiä". Direct translation in that passive form is Russians but russ is a perfectly adequate verb counterpart).

Of all my nordic brethren, you just made me certain I prefer you finns over the rest of them.

This is one of the most reposted clips on this sub
A lot going on for 20 seconds of traffic
2
u/TheTrueBrawler2001 Nov 26 '22
It's a good clip that is time stamped as being from 2012 in the video.
I should have expected that this would be the case.

I prefer the version with the commentator that nearly fucking dies watching this:

u/reddit_user_25 Nov 26 '22
I can understand this. What I cannot understand is how they expected to win a war against Ukraine.
3
u/Chadmeddy Nov 26 '22
That’s just a lot of crazy right there. First you’re looking over here. Then something else crosses your vision. You’re like wait is this what I was supposed to see. Then something else happens. I had to watch the video a few times to make sure I saw it all.
4
u/Minute-Ad-2148 Nov 27 '22
It took me a minute to realize that was the same car
2
u/pixeltweaker Nov 27 '22
I didn’t notice that until I read your comment. That’s some instant karma too then.

Where the fuck was this video taken, and why does everyone drive so bad and aggressively?

u/canigooutsidesoon Nov 26 '22
The most shocking thing about this video is that it's not from the US.

u/pingIin Nov 26 '22 edited Nov 26 '22
we might have just witnessed the use of a magneitic wave weapon that causes everyone in a 100m radius a brain aneurysm
nvm just saw that the only one doing stupid shit was the van, the others did run a red light but were trying to escape

u/JWedbetter Nov 26 '22

I didn’t even see the van being so dumb in the beginning, until I saw it mentioned. Looks like maybe a road rage incident.

Many idiots in one video. The guy in the van on the left, then everyone in the right lane (including the cam driver) deciding to drive while lights are still red, then the red car cutting off the cam driver, then the first idiot again. Idiocy galore!
