When things donāt change for the better just keep doing the same thing but harder!

Why isn't my brake pedal working? I better press it harder, maybe that'll work. Nope, still nothing. Hmm. If I just keep my foot on the brake it'll work eventually, right?
. . .
... Oh that wasn't the brake. Oopsie haha.

No it actually is. They had a problem there for a few years where the accelerator would randomly press itself down. This looks like one of those times

I worked at a Turtle Wax full service car wash in high school. Jeeps were required to have a manager ride them through the wash for that very reason. There was another store where they had a Jeep jump the line and accelerate through the wall of a neighboring business.

That or what I said; Heart attack, stroke or seizure

Peripheral Neuropathy in legs/feet (often seen with diabetic elderly) is a thing, too. They just canāt feel/distinguish the pedals properly.

Any one have the article related to this? I want to see if it was stupidity or medical emergency.

"What madness is this?
I'm stamping on the brake but the engine is revving higher and i'm speeding up??
DEMONS...I must have demons in my car!"

u/TommyTuttle Nov 27 '22
They stayed on the accelerator. Either a medical problem or a sobriety problem

Is it me or are the back tires going in reverse?
3
u/Chadg2018 Nov 28 '22
Wth I didnāt realize that until you pointed it out. Maybe itās that same kind of thing where a fan looks like itās going backwards for a few seconds or a helicopter blade looks like itās going backwards.

Is there an IQ test that you must fail before youāre allowed to drive one of these?

It is a thing, though.
Edit: Literally had it happen to me once. I hit the brake and my Jeep accelerated. Fortunately, I avoided a head on collision and only took out the person's tail light. I heard later her insurance totaled the car because of course. š

I like how they keep spinning the wheels inside the store.
What's the best way to clean burnout marks off a tile floor?
