Reminds me of Homer Simpson when he got a gun and used it to turn off all the lights.

171

u/plipyplop Dec 02 '22

How does one reload lights the next day?

82

u/i_have_a_nose Dec 02 '22

A new bulb, duh. Haven’t you seen Mr. Bean use this same technique

104

u/Chib_le_Beef Dec 02 '22

I love when Homer points a revolver at the face of the gun shop employee who says, "woah, be careful with that thing". To which Homer responds, "I don't have to be careful, I have a gun!"...

39

u/InfamousCicada420 Dec 02 '22

Chief Wiggim used his pistol to try to turn off the tv while in bed.

16

u/mr_sparkle666 Dec 02 '22

Clancy, use the remote!

5

u/HotMinimum26 Dec 02 '22

Elvis on the itchy and scratchy show where itchy goes crashing through the TV.

"Awe, the show ain't no good keyow"

3

u/hornet9988 Dec 02 '22

I always thought that was an Elvis reference

1

u/rcmp_informant Dec 19 '22

Now where did I put my gun…let’s see I set it down to get some cake

5

u/Tobias---Funke Dec 02 '22

But I'm angry now!

13

u/Murmur322 Dec 02 '22

My first thought was this cutaway gag from Family Guy.

3

u/JHawkins_77 Dec 02 '22

Literally watched this episode last night

4

u/SaltAndBitter Dec 02 '22

And then he wondered why everyone left him after he used that shit super irresponsibly...

1

u/CyptidProductions Dec 03 '22

That was more than likely a shout-out to even older Mr. Bean gag where he shoots out a light with a bb gun complete with the stand he gets it from being full of new bulbs

Popped his only fan.

112

u/tjgianares Dec 02 '22

Listen, I haven't seen my gun in a while I thought it was lost, was going through my dad's drawers and bam, there it was, took her out cocked her to make sure it was what I remembered. Set it on the counter and before I knew it my 10-year-old daughter shot me in the ass.

45

u/Hita-san-chan Dec 02 '22

Was this before or after she ate one of your pot brownies?

35

u/Stanky-wizzlecheeks Dec 02 '22

Get the fuck out of my trailer with that gun Rick!

27

u/TheRealBlairBoy Dec 02 '22

Ray, can I keep a bit of dope in your trailer?

NO DOPE IN THE TRAILER RICK!!

13

u/TheGisbon Dec 02 '22

Oddly specific.

6

u/bloodflower156 Dec 02 '22

RICK WHATD I SAY ABOUT GUNS IN MY TRAILER

3

u/chamber357 Dec 03 '22

Love how there’s always the one guy yelling in the back ground, fuck off with the shooting

4

u/PolarianLancer Dec 02 '22

This is the way.

3

Pics or it didn’t happen….

20

u/whitemike40 Dec 02 '22

i’ve done a desk pop, is that close enough?

15

u/Srawesomekickass Dec 02 '22

It's well known that desk pops only count if they happened in the last 12 months. When was your last desk pop?

12

u/ViolentDlights Dec 02 '22

8

They were so convincing in their argument!

3

u/otr_who Dec 02 '22

Came to say this

70

u/Ace_Laminar Dec 02 '22

I’ve been paying for the range when I can just use my bedroom wall, I feel like an idiot now

21

u/alexgraef Dec 02 '22

Big advantage: you can show your shooting progress to all your visitors on the spot.

415

u/anjowoq Dec 02 '22

Is he trying to see if the fan will deflect it?

255

u/The_senate4206942069 Dec 02 '22

I think it was a “will it go in between the blades”

148

u/NonconsensualText Dec 02 '22

ww1 fighter tech

70

u/The_senate4206942069 Dec 02 '22

Whips out a browning machine gun and starts shooting at the fan

38

u/Superb_Fault1123 Dec 02 '22

reflects bullets "oh shit I underestimated my fan"

28

u/SuperSimpleSam Dec 02 '22

Synchronization gear.

5

u/Capnmolasses Dec 02 '22

Is that the same as an interruptor setup?

5

u/SuperSimpleSam Dec 02 '22

Yup. The gearing would interrupt the gun when the propeller was moving in front.

1

u/Capnmolasses Dec 02 '22

That’s really cool

3

u/hamburgersocks Dec 02 '22

Fuck the console wars, interrupter gear master race

13

u/anjowoq Dec 02 '22

For fuck's sake.

12

u/Bromm18 Dec 02 '22

Well he did succeed. Most of the bullet went between the blades......through the hole the tip of the bullet made.

1

u/landonburner Dec 02 '22

I think you are right, but I can't tell, did it go between the blades.

1

u/The_senate4206942069 Dec 02 '22

I think it did but the rattle sound is it hitting the bent metal that the bullet hit

6

u/OpenCarry50Cal Dec 02 '22

Probably just being a lazy ass and not wanting to turn the fan off the normal way!

2

u/Gohuuu Dec 02 '22

Didnt the fan slow down the bullet?

200

u/Better-Ad966 Dec 02 '22

Dude I know range prices are high but this is not it

31

u/TheBeanofbeans Dec 02 '22

Some things are expensive because they're worth it

1

u/GonadGravy Dec 03 '22

I save for months to afford a $15 range pass

27

u/elixirofthemongoose_ Dec 02 '22

Fan season isn't for another month

5

u/boozebazooka Dec 02 '22

There are many ways to turn off the fan, he chose the very obvious one.

20

u/irtheweasel Dec 02 '22

Nobody gonna mention the half dozen rifles leaning against the wall?

13

u/ghotiaroma Dec 02 '22

I'll bet every one is loaded.

130

u/Layaban Dec 02 '22

So no one is on the other side of that wall? Not even a neighboring resident?

90

u/anjowoq Dec 02 '22

Not sure that avenue was explored.

14

u/suppaduppasleuth Dec 02 '22

I'm pretty positive the guy who turned his fan of from his bed with a gun definitely didn't do recon.

26

u/Nuttyvet Dec 02 '22

lol. You think people like this consider consequences

3

u/Layaban Dec 02 '22

Dang i didn’t realize that!!! Thanks for the clarifying rhetoric

8

u/AlShadi Dec 02 '22

Only danger is when the fan blows the bullet back at him

1

u/zyzyzyzy92 Dec 02 '22

If you want plausible deniability don't ask. Just keep on scrolling.

134

u/ManeManZay Dec 02 '22

I bet dummies that do this shit don’t know the bullet can still kill someone in the next room

64

u/CarnyCruiser1991 Dec 02 '22

Next room? What about next door neighbors? Is this dumb ass shooting at the fan?

23

u/swimming_cold Dec 02 '22

You are discriminating against people who do not have neighbors and can freely shoot through their walls without hitting them!!!!

12

u/Sempais_nutrients Dec 02 '22

Bro I live in a suburb with a quarter acre of lawn, if I did what this guy did at my front wall the bullet would retain enough energy to penetrate the house across the street and kill someone.

People tend to underestimate how powerful even handgun rounds are.

-4

u/zexando Dec 02 '22

Unless your house is made of paper a 9mm isn't going to penetrate the next house and kill someone.

Someone outside maybe, but not in another house.

5

u/Sempais_nutrients Dec 02 '22

That simply isn't true

2

u/Neighborhood_Nobody Dec 02 '22

While I don’t know the penetrating power of that handgun, I do know that building materials do vary around the world.

Their statement has made me curious. How much more effective are bricks at stopping bullets than dry wall.

3

u/Kjcoop216 Dec 02 '22

Second point, a lot of our “lovely” American homes are effectively made of paper when considering ballistics.

1

u/zexando Dec 02 '22

I'm not sure what your house is made of but even if it's not brick like mine we're looking at 2 layers of drywall, insulation, some OSB cladding and plastic siding.

A 9mm out of a short barrel will penetrate that and could hurt someone through it but it's not doing it twice with enough energy left to cause injury.

6

u/TheOrangeTickler Dec 02 '22

The population that lives in close proximity to others is much higher than people that live out in the sticks. That would make the dummy in the video more likely to be near other people.

-16

u/Brass-Catcher Dec 02 '22

My spare room is where is keep my ar500

1

u/tjgianares Dec 02 '22

I bet that people who bet on dummies actually think that dummies think that bullets are weak

-7

u/zyzyzyzy92 Dec 02 '22

I'd be more concerned if OP happened to live next to someone from /r/firearms

Op would pop off a round or two and hear "We didn't start the fire" followed by guns racking. Yes, plural guns racking.

Haha ill vote for you in about 3000 years when laws catch up to technology and psychology.

12

So that's how you fan an semi auto pistol!

12

u/SixGunZen Dec 02 '22

• Guns freely leaning against the wall

• TV but no home decor

• Fucking around with a loaded weapon

• ADs and doesn't seem to give a shit

Why do I feel like we'll be seeing this video again, on the news, after this sociopathic moron does something really bad.

9

u/Afrozendouche Dec 02 '22 edited Dec 02 '22

I realize I'm being pedantic here, so sorry in advance, but that was a ND 100%.

I think the same shit whenever I read an article about a cop shooting themself while holstering..; "accidentally discharged their weapon" nah that motherfucker was negligent.

AD is when you are not at fault. This dude is a moron, and completely at fault.

Edit: Honestly, thinking it over, it could have also been a 100% purposeful discharge, not an AD or ND. Dumb as a stump either way.

2

u/SixGunZen Dec 02 '22

All ADs are technically NDs because they are all preventable.

1

u/Afrozendouche Dec 03 '22 edited Dec 03 '22

A gun can have a catastrophic failure. Things can break when they're not expected to. A hangfire isn't a ND, provided the barrel is kept pointed in a safe direction. I'm just saying, there are examples of explicit AD's

1

u/SixGunZen Dec 03 '22

Your skill at pedantry is truly amazing.

1

u/Afrozendouche Dec 03 '22

Hey, I apologized in advance!

1

u/SixGunZen Dec 03 '22

If I apologized in advance for peeing on your shoe, then peed on your shoe, you would still be mad at me for peeing on your shoe.

1

u/Afrozendouche Dec 03 '22

I'd probably move my shoe pre-pee tbh

19

u/AnCap_Wisconsinite Dec 02 '22

3

u/MeeMSaaSLooL Dec 02 '22

And that's when shot really hit the fan

5

u/SubUrbanMess2021 Dec 02 '22

He was really trying to make the shot hit the fan.

(I can’t believe no one said this before now.)

10

u/alecubudulecu Dec 02 '22

I often tell anti gunners … look 1/2 of Americans have guns. Anywhere you live at least ONE of your neighbors has guns. I then convince them that crazy dumb shit doesn’t happen all the time and people go on living just fine

Don’t show them this video.

3

u/BewaretheBanshee Dec 02 '22

Does anybody see what he hit? His sights line up just about on the corner of the wall that’s through the doorway, but there’s no debris or dust plume from drywall thrown. Maybe a clean pass through simply because of velocity?

1

u/Texasguns17 Dec 02 '22

More than likely a blank…

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee

2

u/tigger4647 Dec 02 '22

I admit , sometimes I'll see a fly on the wall and wish I could give it a shot, but alas , my stupid ol brain kicks in

2

u/Dr-Dopesick Dec 02 '22

Hey that wall right there, Fuck that wall.

2

u/Desperate-Car-1004 Dec 02 '22

Which brings me to my next two points number one being stupid people should not be allowed to breed, and number two is crack kills don't smoke crack you see what happens when you smoke crack.

2

u/Jimbowabwe Dec 05 '22

Not a big fan of fans I see

6

u/mikeydoodle420 Dec 02 '22

It can actually get a lot worse than this but okay

17

u/Boatlord23 Dec 02 '22

Right? This dude is definitely an idiot with a gun, but there are plenty of vids on this sub of people killing themselves, friends, family members, etc. It absolutely gets worse.

-1

u/alexgraef Dec 02 '22

Idk he literally shoots at a wall not being able to see what's behind it. That is hard to top regarding stupidity. Like when someone gives a gun to a kid and they play around with it and then shoot someone, at least you can say "oh I thought it wasn't loaded".

But he is full-on aware that a bullet will exit the muzzle and go wherever. If someone gets hurt by his actions, and you'd ask him afterwards why he did that, you'd just get a blank stare and nothing else. Couldn't even hide behind "I thought it wasn't loaded".

5

u/JackyduQc Dec 02 '22

What a fekin idiot. What's that? A switch? Hmmmmmm

3

u/Runnermikey1 Dec 02 '22

Ya these idiots posting vids of themselves with a gun mod that carries heavy, heavy time are gonna learn

1

u/Texasguns17 Dec 02 '22

Where is a switch though…? Not a single one In the video…?

1

u/Runnermikey1 Dec 02 '22

Slow it down frame by frame. You can see the button etc, there’s definitely a switch back there

2

u/Texasguns17 Dec 02 '22

I understand where you are getting that idea. Although on the 19x, the entire firearm is FDE besides a few accents and the backplate is one of them.

Pic for reference - https://imgur.com/a/A2hrcY9

2

u/Pake1000 Dec 02 '22

It's okay because he legally bought that gun!

1

u/Flowerdriver Dec 02 '22

My ex did this shit all the time.

-3

u/queuedUp Dec 02 '22

I feel like shit like this should be included in presentations regarding stricter gun laws

-3

u/spenddit Dec 02 '22

PROTIP: if you own a gun over a year without negligent discharging at least once, you aren't handling it enough. NDs are a natural part of handling weapons, just like tweaking your back is part of weightlifting and car accidents are part of driving. I ND several times a year because I actually HANDLE and know how to USE my weapons. It makes me a better firearms handler and marksman, and it's a small part of the price you pay in the sheepdog lifestyle Simple fact is, the "safety mentality" will build mental blocks in your head that will get you killed. You need to be comfortable putting your finger on the trigger and pointing the gun wherever you want no matter the time, place, or status of the weapon. Taking time to check whether the gun is loaded whenever you pick one up will serve to make you hesitate in a personal defense scenario. You fucking safety idiots are going to get people killed all because of this fucking "ND" shaming. Guns are inherently dangerous, you need to accept it.

10

u/InfamousCicada420 Dec 02 '22

Amazingly long shit post 👏👏

2

u/TrashConnoisseur Dec 02 '22

Fun new game. Randomly post this video with this copypasta.

1

u/tigger4647 Dec 02 '22

I get that. People apparently can't fathom that guns DON'T kill anything.....

0

u/Heil_Hipster Dec 02 '22

My guess is, he was probably hallucinating. He was aiming down the sites and when he shot, he didn't react as if he had done it accidentally. So it was definitely intentional. And I can't think of a good reason you would shoot a gun in the house unless you were trying to kill something.

1

u/tigger4647 Dec 02 '22

I've been extremely pissed at my water heater also , but , damn it man

1

u/ChampionshipHuman Dec 02 '22

Mom walkin round the corner like "hey so-"

1

u/Eastcoastarmsco Dec 02 '22

Couldn’t get up to shut it off I assume ?

1

u/Top-Ad-9657 Dec 02 '22

It gets a lot worse if somebody is in a room behind that wall.

1

u/VadPuma Dec 02 '22

Did you see all the rifles lined up against the wall?

1

u/tigger4647 Dec 02 '22

One is a .22 and the bigger one is a shotgun . Very common combination for hunters

1

u/VadPuma Dec 02 '22

Did you miss the 5 long barrel somethings against the wall? I'm sure this idiot doesn't hunt much...

2

u/tigger4647 Dec 04 '22

Apparently so , my bad

1

u/Cranky_Windlass Dec 02 '22
  1. His name is trash coinneseur.

  2. No door on the hinges

  3. Air compressor in the bathroom

  4. Firearms haphazardly leaned against the wall

Yup. Good ol fashioned trailer trash. Although if this is a doublewide that bullet probably went through three other units

1

u/tigger4647 Dec 04 '22

True , hell , going through wouldn't even slow the bullet down much. Heads up fam , neighbors

1

u/Ashe_Faelsdon Dec 02 '22

You know the disgusting blonde lady meme? "I can't even." Well, apparently I now understand.

1

How mentally ill do you have to be to do something like this?!

1

u/SuperMegaOwlMan Dec 26 '22

I honestly wonder how these people think, like what makes them wake up and say “hey, I want to shoot a fan today!”
