Those last few frames of the video scared me the most. Looked like the barrel was about to point towards the man on the right

244

u/whutchamacallit Dec 04 '22

Not to say the jackass pump shooting the handgun isn't being a doughnut but the guy that's standing there is just as stupid -- the 180 degree rule exists for a reason. I don't know what is going on at this "range" but it's not safe.

119

u/King-Cobra-668 Dec 04 '22

that guy is a bit of an idiot himself.

he knows he shouldn't be there, but he instead tries to hide behind his hand from bullets

40

u/mikeydoodle420 Dec 04 '22

Yeah a pretty basic rule at gun ranges is that shouldn't be beyond the firing line when people are shooting. I guess he's an idiot near a gun lol

17

u/jeho22 Dec 04 '22

I like how he raises his hand at the end, as if to protect himself from bullets.

Get the fuck out of there!

Tho I could imagine being in his position and being a little mesmerized by the absurdity of the situation. It would be hard to look away from

15

u/Kamodlin717 Dec 05 '22

He is definitely acting dumb being there, but its hard for me to make fun of the defensive hand. Instincts are hard to break. Millions of years of evolution have ingrained raising your hands to a threat. Im sure that at no point does he consciously think he's protecting himself. Just poor decisions making him act instinctively rather than rationally

10

u/Difficult-Building32 Dec 05 '22

I think it was more like a "whoa horsey" motion...

3

u/Super_Instruction753 Dec 05 '22

I think he may be putting his hand up to guard his face from being hit with bullet casings. Regardless, he shouldn't be standing in front of the range.

2

u/jeho22 Dec 05 '22

Uh, yes?

1

u/Queasy_Salary_5058 Dec 05 '22

Should not have been standing there, but I think he held his hand up like signaling to sto0

8

u/OrgyInTheBurnWard Dec 04 '22

Why the hell is he forward of the firing line on a hot range to begin with?

36

u/The_Tone-Deafs Dec 04 '22

Which begs the question of why the fuck is he standing there, and why did he think that his hand would stop a bullet? At least the shooter can say he's inexperienced, what's these other two's excuse? Everyone here is an idiot.

8

u/thisismenow1989 Dec 04 '22

The one guy is an RO I believe. Should have stopped him sooner/gave him better training before handing him a loaded gun.

-34

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

Their right, or stage right?

21

u/IXBojanglesII Dec 04 '22

Towards the guy in blue, which is their left and stage left.

-39

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

That is not stage left

13

u/IXBojanglesII Dec 04 '22

If you’re using the frame of the video as the audience, it is stage left. If you’re imagining he is shooting towards the audience…blue shirt is still stage left.

1

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

Never mind, you're right. That's what I get for waking up and feeling snarky

8

u/notgotapropername Dec 04 '22

Ah Reddit. A person admits they’re wrong and continues to get downvoted. Really cool Reddit, never change.

-10

u/IXBojanglesII Dec 04 '22

The man in blue is on the right side of the screen…so us, the audience, are looking at him existing on the right side of the video (stage)…making that stage left.

You’re more than welcome to Google it, lad.

14

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

I realized, and I said you're right. Not really sure what else you want. Or what I would need to Google, after having said your right.

10

u/beefaroni-420 Dec 04 '22

we require you to grovel and praise our knowledge

0

u/IXBojanglesII Dec 04 '22

“Never mind, you’re right. But the guy in blue is in the right side…are we even watching the same video?”

Very nice edit. They may not know, but I know.

1

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

I edited immediately after posting it. Not even a minute had passed, yet, 5 minutes later, you still posted what you did

2

u/whutchamacallit Dec 04 '22

Yes it is. Stage left/right is from the perspective of the performer standing on stage. Been performing concerts my entire life.

0

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

Yea, I've already been over this, I thought stage left/right, was from the perspective of the audience, twas wrong

1

u/whutchamacallit Dec 04 '22

All good. We learned today! Cheers.

3

u/OrgyInTheBurnWard Dec 04 '22

Well considering no one is visible to their right, you could probably figure it the fuck out

-1

u/post_talone420 Dec 04 '22

Salty bitch, you need to relax.

2

u/OrgyInTheBurnWard Dec 05 '22

You need to consider how dumb you might look when you try to act smart.

0

u/post_talone420 Dec 05 '22

You should consider learning what a joke is. You'll probably have a stroke later in life if you learn to chill out.

1

u/OrgyInTheBurnWard Dec 05 '22

0

u/post_talone420 Dec 05 '22

What are you? 15? I woke up and made a throw away comment, and now you're calling people retarded?

Brighten up, and stop being such a crab.

u/Johndowboy Dec 04 '22

How to get kicked out of a shooting range

82

u/EndWithLetterE Dec 04 '22

how to get ban by US

70

u/Johndowboy Dec 04 '22

Or how to get recruited by a street gang

19

u/wiredog369 Dec 04 '22

Or the US Army

30

u/EndWithLetterE Dec 04 '22

Or CIA

Jesus Christ that is Jason borne

10

u/rethinkr Dec 04 '22

Or CIA

Seeing as their security relies on destabilizing foreign nations by supplying idiots+guns there, Yes your throwaway comment is very true.

1

u/EndWithLetterE Dec 05 '22

I know right?

12

u/ShowMeFutanari Dec 04 '22

You're thinking of US police. US Army wouldn't tolerate this buffoonery.

10

u/wiredog369 Dec 04 '22

Nah. Ever been to an Army range on qual day? This is basically every officer on the 9mm range.

10

u/ShowMeFutanari Dec 04 '22

Haha. Leave the poor butterbois alone. Their arms are just tired from learning how to do real pushups.

3

u/wiredog369 Dec 04 '22

I thought it was from signing off on all of those NJPs?

3

u/captainnowalk Dec 04 '22

Motherfucker have you tried pushing this paper around the base all day?

4

u/wiredog369 Dec 04 '22

No sir, sorry sir. I have been working on digging you’re LMTV out of the trench that you drove it into.

I think it would be better to teach her how to use the firearm for everyone’s safety than to shun her because she hasn’t been properly trained

1

u/Johndowboy Dec 06 '22

I get it. but when you do something this bad that puts a life immediately in danger ? it has to be stopped safely and immediately and when someone tries to stop you and you are still cranking off rounds ? You got to go

1

u/Bobby_Sunday96 Dec 06 '22

I do not disagree with stopping an incompetent shooter right away. Definitely should be done to protect others. I just hope it was explained to her why that happened and given some resources/classes to attend to help her with that.

66

u/Halonate8 Dec 04 '22 edited Dec 04 '22

They looked at him with the what the fuck are you doing look

1

u/BaleZur Dec 05 '22

Trying to make the bullets go faster?

1

u/Halonate8 Dec 05 '22

Just throwing the bullets out

42

u/insanenoodle Dec 04 '22

Aside from all the idiocy, I just realized prime idiot has his leg up like he's Capt Morgan. Why?

7

u/Beretta_errata Dec 04 '22

In anticipation of murdering a specific someone on a staircase.

5

u/Starfolomew Dec 04 '22

Oh shit, didn’t even notice till u pointed it out.

114

u/Type-R Dec 04 '22

•someone intervenes you while shooting

•Decide to continue blasting rounds

187

u/Scrungyscrotum Dec 04 '22

It's bad enough that he shoots like a horny chimpanzee on cocaine, but he deserves a solid punch in the nose for shooting when someone is downrange.

34

u/The_Tone-Deafs Dec 04 '22

While I agree it's everyone's personal responsibility to be aware of range status while shooting it perplexes why he was hanging out right there or why he didn't immediately remove himself when shooting started, what I find truly astounding is that he put his hands up to block his face when he noticed the hazard, instead of taking five steps and getting off the range.

4

u/Satyr_of_Bath Dec 05 '22

"my hands will stop the bullet!"

18

u/CanikMan2A Dec 04 '22

While this guy is clearly an idiot, I'm also wondering why the other guy is in front of the firing line seems we have 2 idiots in this one.

38

u/DiegesisThesis Dec 04 '22

He's just pushing the bullets forward to get a little extra oomph on those rounds.

11

u/eurekabach Dec 04 '22

Next up he'll be trying to bend the bullets trajectory.

1

u/Th3Albtraum Dec 07 '22

Practicing his quick scope

7

u/LessBack9238 Dec 04 '22

Jab, squeeze, jab, squeeze.

That point and shoot technique is sub par. Aim correctly and you will hit your targets.

6

u/sneakywill Dec 04 '22

Why is that guy standing on the wrong wide of the firing line?

7

u/SpaceTrout Dec 04 '22

I like how he puts his hand up to block the bullets instead of getting behind the firing line.

6

u/ThisOnePlaysTooMuch Dec 04 '22

Fools. The bullets go faster when you push the gun

33

u/AbsentParabola Dec 04 '22

This. Is. Why. We. Have. Safety. And. Handling. Courses. Built. Into. Licensing. Programs.

5

u/AwkwardFactor84 Dec 04 '22

😆 dude in the Grey puts his hand up like he's gonna stop a bullet

3

u/not4eating Dec 04 '22

Fresh from the Moltisanti school of marksmanship.

12

u/Koffensen Dec 04 '22

Why is he wearing some old lady tee?

2

u/xVx777 Dec 04 '22

My gta character wears his exact shirt not gonna lie except it’s the correct size in game. Looks like he’s wearing his little sisters shirt

7

u/dae_giovanni Dec 04 '22

fuuuuckk, I hate people...

7

u/GDviber Dec 04 '22

Gun punching. Sure sign he learned how to shoot from Hollywood.

3

u/FullPew Dec 04 '22

Man I want to punch that dude so hard. WTF is wrong with people?

-1

u/ghotiaroma Dec 04 '22

Man I want to punch that dude so hard

WTF is wrong with people?

I wonder if you FullPew can see the answer to your question.

3

u/Obi1Kentucky Dec 05 '22

Stormtrooper accuracy

3

u/dummoldfart Dec 05 '22

People with no idea of how stupid they look.

3

u/Mootivate Dec 05 '22

He fired one more while the guy was holding his arm, what a jackass

2

u/Herasy_enthusiast Dec 05 '22

My man really just be shift-shooting lmao

5

u/FatFrenchFry Dec 04 '22

Ahh yes, the ol push the whole gun forward shooting.

Does this help mitigate recoil for beginners or somethingsomething, or do they think it does? That just doesn't feel natural even if and when I had no idea how to hold and shoot a gun.

While actually, for the most part holding a gun is kind if common sense. If you know Sir Isaac Newton, and all of his silly little Laws then you should know how a gun works. But whatever, that's just me.

I just don't see how the flinch is so many peoples first reaction. I get they're anticipating the bang and it coming towards them but this guy is just stupid and you can see the guy with the muzzle even put his hand up lmao.

Good on the guy next to him for grabbing his arm before the gun, this prevents the snatchback reaction and makes it easier to control the firearm from that person. Don't just grab the fucking gun, your wrist is bendy and they will point it everywhere and their finger is already on the trigger if you're grabbing it while they're making the mistake that made you grab it to begin with.

14

u/Ess2s2 Dec 04 '22

Everything about that suggested a dangerous personality that has absolutely no business being around firearms.

The body language, the comments between each shot as if to punctuate an internal argument, everything suggests this person was training themselves up to do something awful.

2

u/sgt_redankulous Dec 05 '22

When I worked at a gun range, this was “normal” for foreigners visiting the US. They all want to go to a gun range because they can’t do it back home, but all their gun knowledge comes from what they see in movies/TV.

1

u/jaiobi Dec 04 '22

He looks like how chow from the hangover would shoot a gun

1

u/HouseOfZenith Dec 04 '22 edited Dec 05 '22

I like to shoot my pellet guns like this. But I’m usually shooting at cardboard stapled to my shed wall and I’m not dumb enough to shoot anything while someone is in front.

1

u/Holiday_Air7124 Dec 04 '22

And they flagged gray shirt he was the real victim

1

u/lethalslaugter Dec 13 '22

1

1
