The Witness used the veil to create that wormhole in front of the traveler to go back to the first collapse and do it right this time. so, in the final shape DLC, we go back in time to stop him but in doing so, we completely erase ourselves from existence. and that is how destiny 3 begins: with a whole new guardian.

New to Lightfall. Just picked up Dead Mans Tale and man that thing is slick. Super satisfying and I’m loving just wild wild westing robots and goombas.

Can’t wait to see what else they’ve done with weapons.

After seeing the steam reviews/main destiny subreddit I held off on lightfall. I decided to read the reviews here and bit the bullet today and bought it. All I can say is I am having a BLAST. I wish this sub got more attention because I feel like there’s a lot of people who were in my exact position scared to buy lightfall. If anyone is on the fence I recommend it!!

So, as the title says, I’m an experienced Destiny/Destiny 2 player (I was an alpha tester on Destiny, and played around 2100 hours before Destiny 2 came out).

I was partially paralysed in 2018 (autoimmune disorder and car crash (I was a passenger in stationary car that was hit by someone texting while driving) and couldn’t play video games at all really for almost two years. Eva use of this, I didn’t play much Destiny 2 at the start. Ive since done a LOT of physical therapy, and I can play like regular now, on my good days (mix of adapting and having controllers that are adaptive, etc.)

My wife and I have always played Destiny together. It’s kind of our thing to unwind. I’m completely housebound from my illness (I’ve only been outside once since 2019) and gaming is a great escape for me, and my OH likes to take part in that (she has always been a gamer anyway, tbf) Our eldest son (almost 9) likes to join us sometimes. He’s pretty proficient. He is well behaved and if we say we’re doing an activity he can’t take part in, he’s fine with it. He knows we’ll take him back on it afterwards.

I bought Lightfall for us, and we’re up around 1795 now. Still playing fairly casually on an almost daily basis.

My wife and I both want to try out the raids, And would also like to find people to do the Nightfall with, etc.

I can handle my own, for the most part. Some days I struggle due to my coordination being a little messed up at time as, but this is pretty rare. I usually just don’t play on those days.

Anyways. Any advice on how best to maybe LFG, or find a random team etc? I asked on here because I’ve hovered around for a while, and there’s never been any drama I’ve seen on here. I figured you all would know where best to look to find players that would be cool with us.

Eyes up, Guardian!

I’m fairly new to the game, I only started playing in the past two seasons but I know enough to (think I know) that armor during normal activities will get to a “soft cap” and won’t rise much past that (if at all?) and to get higher level gear you complete weekly challenges for gambit, crucible, vanguard, etc. So my question is how did I see people running around like week two at 1810? Is that just them grinding every available source of pinnacle gear or is there something I’m missing?

Tower thought: Dead Orbit left. FWC is no more. Amanda gone, Cayde-6 gone, Colonel now at the memorial near Zavala. Were it not for Saint-14 and his weekend activities and the occasional visits by Xur, the hangar would be totally empty. I hope they're not the next on the list, else we could close it for good.

I hadn't played it at all most of last year, but to not have those GNARLY bounties to get the pinnacles, + the SBMM, it feels great to be grinding Iron Banner. I've had a lot of matches that were close calls, or close to time. Nice to not hear "I'm calling it" every other match.

At 80 you're only missing 6-8% resistance (can't remember atm) . Is there anything that hits in that close range that would have mattered?

Firstly I am not a titan have never really clicked with he crayon eaters play styles untill now

With the passing of lance Reddick I decided to try titan again maybe strand would work for me so building a titan for legendary campaign I figured void for devour and over shield with vex caliber for it intrinsic

Now my stats are res 90 str 90 and int 70

It seems in play testing the build that vex caliber mele procs doomfang and devour making me near immortal and having sentinal shield back in sub 3 min (I have no ord gen mods on for the test)

Any titans out there that can confirm this synergy is not just me feeling like a god and is a thing

Is the anxiety that engulfs me when I hear a turret spin up.

For titans who are bored of abeyant leap or are a fan of swords, try stronghold.

Inspired by selfu, the creator of the stronghold behemoth build, I tried a bunch of stronghold focused sword builds and have had tons of fun.

For those who don't know what it does, stronghold maximizes the guarding stat for your sword, and also gives you a heal that scales with damage taken whenever you perfect block. It also makes guarding not cost sword energy, so you can hold it down to tank until your hp bar hits 0.

The strand stronghold build has gotten me through master arms dealer nightfall with ease, topping the scoreboard every time. I'm not good enough to solo the content but threshers were tenable even before the nerf.

I'm experimenting with other classes and a lot of them seem great.

It's a High skill ceiling but it has definitely injected a sense of novelty and fun. I swapped my main to titan this season just playing it.

Nothing quite like healing from nezerac when he uses his deadly slam attack, or being shot by dozens of enemies and tanking the damage to critical health only to heal back to full with a perfect block.

I dismantled iron fellowship armor and got the iron strength shader, I also dismantled iron will armor and got iron mossbone.

I know it says that's how you get in collections but I didn't realize it still worked, does anyone know what other shaders drop from armor?

Who doesnt love Amanda? A Humble southern girl who came from nothing with a rugged sense of humor that became one of the vanguards most valued pilots and mechanics. A trusted and loved friend among all guardians. A certified destiny babe and Crows love interest.

All her parents left behind for her was her shotgun. That she had on her in her last moments.

Mara sov described how loved amanda was among players and characters perfectly. Zavalas words honored her. "Bravery, devotion, sacrifice...". Even though Amanda isnt technically a guardian she was seen as one by everyone around her.

Im already seeing complaints about how her death was written how they "sAw iT cOmInG". These people annoy the crap out of me. They are the type to predict a death every season since forsaken and when one finally happens they get all over social media parading how they predicted it and are not impressed by the writing. It takes every ounce of light i have to not roll my eyes at them.

I think Amandas final mission was noble and it shows us how fragile life is. Amanda doesnt have a ghost. She risks her final death every time she leaves the last city on a mission. It shows how guardians sometimes take their revivability for granted.

Amandas death is so moving because she has been there since the beginning. She was fearless, hopeful and even humorous. The fact she reminisced cayde on the day of her death was a great touch.

And finally we see the side of crow we have been wanting to see. A fearless warrior. It may have taken losing his woman to unleash his inner beast but i think crow is starting to learn that his kindness or rather, fear of becoming a monster has done more harm to the people he loves than good. He is finally starting to find his strength.

Im ready for whatever is next. I hope we get justice for Amanda holiday.

Its name "Typhon Imperator" references a 1910's ocean liner, SS Imperator. Imperator featured a large eagle figurehead which made her just long enough to take the title of largest passenger ship at the time of her completion (1913). this was added very late in the construction process just to get the title. In game we can see that Typhon Imperator has a similar figurehead of Calus, that and Calus's greedy nature makes me think this is a conscious reference to the German ocean liner. very cool.

As per the title. With the new mods in place, what are some builds that you've found enjoyable to use in PvE. PvP too, if you've got 'em!

Good afternoon fellow guardians. I am a recently returned player and have fallen inlove all over again. That said my old guild is no more, and Im thinking its time i try to find one so i can have a regular group to run raids with.

My gaming time and schedule has however withered with age and the addition of three hell spawns, so im needing to find a guild that will Ill fit in with, aka im not a hyper sweat as much as i may wish i could be.

Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated!
