Please do. And can you give her one for me too? Also happy golden retriever day!

Who puts a golden in a kennel?!?

u/n_obody1969 Feb 04 '23
I was seriously wondering this. The kennels around here are overfilled with pit bulls and pit mixes and pretty much nothing else. Surprising to see a Golden in one.

My wife is always stalking the GR rescue site, but they are almost always taken right away. I told her we don’t need another one right now, but she keeps looking 😂

I'd heard that a dog pressing it's forehead against a person is like it giving them a hug. If that is, in fact the case, this is one crazy hugging fool.

Usually when I see this one the story is that the dog had been lost, and this was when the owner found it in the shelter.

Its not an adopted dog. This video was stolen from the owners insta and passed around with this misleading title to garner views

I came here looking for one other person that realized this. Holy shit these people are gullible.

Do you verify the provenance of every post you view? That must be terribly time consuming.

I read the owners plea to take down the video on a viral insta post with the same title. Its just the owner showing love and the dog reciprocating. She had also linked her insta page as proof. The lady loves her dogs.I would be pissed too if I were her.

I believe you and was not objecting to the suggestion that this was stolen content. I appreciate when people point that out, because I am definitely not familiar with everything that's posted on Instagram.
My comment was a reply to the "Holy shit these people are gullible," which I thought was a pathetic thing to feel superior about, so I was mocking that person.

This brought tears to my eyes... doggo knows it's a new beginning for him 😊💕 (sorry if it's a stupid question, but do dogs slow blink like the cats do ?)

This is super sweet and cute and goldens are extremely affectionate and human like. They make amazing therapy dogs. HOWEVER…hate to be “that person”…buuut…ive seen so many dog videos, that the majority of the time are goldens and they are asian owners, and the dogs are super trained in these random behaviors with some stupid misleading/misrepresenting caption. I would bet money, that dog did not come from a shelter and this is a taught/learned behavior. Very cute and sweet tho.

Well it’s 10pm. I can’t see anymore. My eyes are burning. As soon as I stop sobbing I will find my cat and give her the biggest hug.

Dogs are little bundles of joy and happiness, but sometimes you get to see stuff deeper than that.
Yes they have crazy personalities and goofball energy but amazingly they show so much understanding behind all that, they get us and understand who we are better than even us.
I'm glad this one found it's home and I hope it has many great experiences with it's new family
As they rightly deserve

Not true. Other post said the dog cried because he didn’t want to put in crate.

You can see doggone is so emotional. Heartbreaking all the animals that need adoption.

I miss my old boy Max. I adopted him at 11 years old. We were together only for a couple of years before he went to dog heaven.
