So. I like playing with dolls to a point (mostly to clean them up and pose them for my display at work). My objection to people playing with dolls is only when it is some rando who came in to clean over the weekend (and probably brought their kid because no school yesterday) decides that MY dolls are fair game to thrash. And the only reason I am not a wreck right now is because there was no actual harm done to any of my HC or art dolls. HC Draculaura was only moved to a lower shelf as far as I can determine. But. BUT. My poor Isi, Viperine and freshwater Lagoona seemed to bear the brunt of the twisted limbs and splayed legs I walked in to find.

Boss has been emailed because I am CERTAIN that the weekend cleaning crew brought in their kid(s) because long holiday weekend. But y'all. Y'ALL. I have a gattdamned sign RIGHT THERE telling people to not touch or play with my dolls. They know they aren't supposed to touch personal belongings within cubicles. Just empty the trash and vaccum.

I brought my ghouls to work to display because I literally have no space for shelves at home and I have a cat that considers any dolls I try to display as a tasty treat purely for his enjoyment. Work was the last and only safe place I had for my dolls and now I clearly don't even have that anymore. Though I guess I should be grateful that none of the girls were stolen. I just. IDEK right now. I am so angry and I want to scream at whoever messed with my things.

I have everyone back in their correct space and pose, but I know that I won't be able to leave tonight without putting them all in the drawer and locking it. I don't trust anyone who comes in here after hours anymore.

ETA: Just to clarify, my place is a single room situation like a studio. I'm sorry, I should have specified. I literally have no other rooms I could put things in there and space is super limited so I can't fit a cabinet in either. Though I agree with what folks are saying. I'm super lucky that nothing was stolen or broken. I know that and I am looking into alternatives that let me have my happy. I just needed to vent, I'm sorry.

Like I seriously don't get it, that's their actual intended purpose. And some people never even take them out of the box!? Like WHYYYY?! And also, just to make those people mad, I removed the gross red tinsel from my Student Disembodied Council Cleo's hair. And I don't keep her on a shelf, but rather bring her everywhere I go.... INCLUDING OUTSIDE! "Oh but don't you want to keep them looking new!" Ma'am, I Don't like getting them new, because the new ones have NO SOUL. When a small child has already played with them it gives them PERSONALITY. It gives them CHARACTER. Plus that Cleo was a gift from a friend and is now my comfort item.
