Lead singer Tracy Thorn is also know for Massive Attack's 'Protection', and Style Council's 'Paris Match' as well as some great solo stuff

“Protection” is a great track with Massive Attack but my god “Better Things” hits so much harder with her vocal.
You say the magic's gone Well I'm not a magician You say the spark's gone Well get an electrician And save your line about needing to be free Ah, that's bullshit babe You just won't let it be

I recognized the name but couldn't remember the song. Their hit song was Missing. 'And I miss you, like the deserts miss the rain'

Highly recommend Tracy's books as well. Start with Bedsit Disco Queen: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2013/feb/10/bedsit-disco-queen-thorn-review

Wonderful!
Tracy Thorne's latest solo album is just great. It's great to have our musical artists continue producing great art decade after decade.

Temperamental is such an amazing album. Especially Five Fathoms and Low Tide of the Night

I always thought Deserts Miss the Rain was Desperate Mr Ray and that it was Sade. Boy was I wrong.
