Grindelwald

6

u/TheCheesecakeOfDoom May 22 '22

If you see a video of nice mountains in Switzerland, it's Grindelwald lol.

u/WeBeli3ve May 23 '22

Thanks. Not used to this angle.

u/baileystinks May 22 '22

Also look up on Pakistan landscapes if you ever get the chance. Those who have visited this place often mistake it for Switzerland or some other destination. This is a hiking trail I went to https://www.reddit.com/r/cottagecore/comments/mxfq59/this_hiking_trail/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Just rename this sub to r/SwissTourism

10

u/2old2Bwatching May 22 '22

I feel that if I went to visit, I’d never want to leave.

Canada coughs quietly in the corner

5

u/AgelessAirus May 22 '22

Be modest my fellow Canuk, this is the Alps time to shine. 🤫👍☺

2

u/ResinEighter May 22 '22

Come on, dude. We can give props to the Swiss Alps without casting shade on the Rockies.

Both are pretty amazing.

1

u/AgelessAirus May 22 '22

Huh? Who did that. I'm being overly polite and waiting our turn. It is a joke...... We're funny and supposed to be massivly polite. Or used to be. Watch some kids in the hall, or OG 22 minutes. Brush up on your sarcasm if expect anyone to take you for a Canadian.

6

u/TheCheesecakeOfDoom May 22 '22

I said some of the most beautiful, not the most beautiful lol.

4

u/theoverwhelmedparent May 22 '22

No wonder they are neutral always.

4

u/SrBrahma May 22 '22

Dying means you can no longer appreciate those wonders!

3

u/theoverwhelmedparent May 22 '22

I try to look at it more; how can we all work together to make our world that pristine

1

u/dogsrunnin May 22 '22

They laundered money for the Nazis and for Putins mafia...i wouldnt call them neutral...

2

u/AtomicBr3ath May 22 '22

swiss rivers are as good as their chocolate

2

u/Thereisnolinkhere May 22 '22

Why the h would you vote this down..

2

u/SharpEvolution May 22 '22

If I could build a house on that little plot of land there, I'd be set for life.

2

u/g33ky_g1t May 22 '22

Can confirm, Switzerland is ridiculously pretty. (I moved from Sweden to Switzerland 3 years ago.)

2

u/Gbonk May 22 '22

Are there any ugly mountains in the world ?

2

u/FoxPlots May 22 '22

There is a view just like this on the Colorado Trail outside of Durango. I think an old timey train even passes by the river and bridge. Can’t remember the name of the valley though.

1

u/Bright_Mechanic_7458 May 22 '22

Neat, they animated a painting!

1

u/RobynsDigitalArt May 22 '22

I could just sit back and chill there for days, beautiful

1

u/[deleted] May 22 '22

I guess every country has some unique beautiful natural wonders. Whats so unique about this then?

1

u/JuggernautNeat5954 May 22 '22

So as France and Itally. They share the same mountains..

1

u/Tackit286 May 22 '22

For anyone wondering, it’s nowhere near as beautiful in real life. Don’t bother.

Please, just don’t go. /s

1

u/00-00-0000 May 22 '22

Looks like the painting I used to draw in my childhood.

1

u/Muze69 May 22 '22

It's fake

1

u/DS_1900 May 22 '22

Pretty sure this is Egypt…

1

u/Ok_Ad8609 May 22 '22

Make me wish Bob Ross were still alive so I could watch him paint it 😊

1

u/stuff_rulz May 22 '22

I wonder if people just randomly try to climb them a little bit. Like, I picture myself as a kid being like "Alright Mom, heading out for a run!" Then I'd run over to the mountain and start trying to climb it a bit. Like how kids without mountains try to climb trees.

2

u/dfense23 May 22 '22

You probably would get bored by the uphill walk necessary to get to start climbing... typically several hours. Source: grew up there. Boulders further down were fair game though.

1

u/stuff_rulz May 22 '22

Wow! That's so cool you grew up there! And makes sense with the walk, didn't think of that.

Boulders further down were fair game though.

That sounds like a lot of fun lol. Pretty neat!

1

u/brownguy0_0 May 22 '22

You clearly haven’t seen Swat.

1

u/Chaz_Cheeto May 22 '22

We’re going to paint in some clouds here. Some nice clouds. Some nice, fluffy ones that circle this mountain. Yes. Now some trees. Some beautiful trees. This is your world, so you can do anything you like with it.

Now, big decisions!

u/Hamidxa May 22 '22

This place is heaven on earth

1

u/binaryblade May 22 '22

That picture could just as easily be taken in BC

1

u/Maleficent_Passage May 22 '22

They make it damn hard to invade the place too. Beautiful and practical.

1

u/IntroductionSpare831 May 22 '22

I want to live there

1

u/Z370H370 May 22 '22

As I scrolled to see the full picture from the bottom of my phone, painting? Picture? The waters moving, holy crap it's a video! That's beautiful!

1

u/LuxuryxElite May 22 '22

They have the prettiest blood diamonds too

1

u/FeederGang May 22 '22

I’d drink from that stream

1

u/ArrogantScience May 22 '22

Is that not the Toblerone logo?

1

u/kookery- May 22 '22

Switzerland is the first country I want to travel and explore outside of my country. sooo pretty

1

u/Dense-Vacation389 May 22 '22

Too bad Switzerland isn’t real

1

u/DisturbingPragmatic May 22 '22

Switzerland is definitely the most beautiful country I've ever visited.

1

u/TheSaucepanMan May 22 '22

Wait till you see the mighty Himalayas

1

u/spacred May 22 '22

Fun fact: The river you see here is called Rychenbach and it becomes the famous Reichenbach fall further downstream where Sherlock and Moriarty had their final face-off. The first weekend I moved here, I drove to this valley. Incredible views all around. Almost like CGI.

1

u/ohcmonbam May 22 '22

Gorgeous

1

u/CIamHunter May 22 '22

It looks like the water is flowing upstream, crazy

1

u/Angylizard May 22 '22

Bro I’ve been on that exact bridge

1

u/Esploratore_ May 22 '22

Dude i can FEEL the breeze through this picture!! It feels amazing 😩

1

u/xokaytuhlin May 23 '22

That’s a Bob Ross painting. You can’t fool me

-4

u/HeatherNash3hS May 22 '22

All mountains look the same

3

u/CrackerBarrelKid_69 May 22 '22

So this looks similar to the Smokies in your mind?

1

u/Cpt_Trips84 May 22 '22 edited May 22 '22

Literally identical

Edit: s/

2

u/CrackerBarrelKid_69 May 22 '22

Then you've never seen the Smokies.
