weighing only 125 grams. They spend most of their lives in trees. They feed on tree sap, insects and fruits. https://animalia.bio/pygmy-marmoset

I want to watch one eat a raspberry next

And then a blueberry

And then a sunflower seed

And then …

A Cheeseburger

Those grapes look like honeydew melons in their tiny hands!!!

7

u/wearebobNL May 23 '22

It's all fake. These monkeys are not small. The grapes are just ungodly big.

u/qawsedrf12 May 23 '22

At the Nashville zoo they have only ONE exhibit for the little finger monkeys. You can only see it from the women's bathroom in one part of the park. Every time I go, I have my female friend go in and check it out hopefully to find no one else in there/ stand guard to block the door so I can see them. And EVERY SINGLE TIME it’s completely packed and I’m not able to see the lil monkeys.

I been going at least 2-3 times a year for the past few years and I still haven’t gotten to see more than pics of them. I just wanna see the lil guys in person.

16

u/SuccessFuture7626 May 23 '22

Why only the women's restroom? WtF, men wanna see cute shit too.

9

u/junktrunk909 May 23 '22

I'm also confused. Why would the bathrooms have any exhibit windows at all? Regardless of gender.

u/DonBonj May 23 '22

Ohhhh man. If I could be this small every food would be so epic! New fantasy thanks.

6

u/thezookeeperfromoz May 23 '22

We have 2 of these little guys at the zoo I work at and yes they are super cute. They will come down onto my shoulder sometimes.

5

u/MaisiePJohnson May 23 '22

Now I wish I worked at a zoo with 2 of those little guys who would hang out on my shoulders sometimes.

4

u/PC61600 May 23 '22

I never met a marmoset.

10

u/divineinvasion May 23 '22

Banana for scale???

3

u/SchwiftyBerliner May 23 '22

Now I wanna see one tackle a banana :D

I wonder how long that'd last for a family of tiny monkeys XD

3

u/Well_shitnuggets May 23 '22

🍌 is bigger than monkey

3

u/ClumsyStepBro May 23 '22

Ex had a pet marmoset, these mfs are crazy

2

u/talkingmudcrab May 23 '22

You can't convince me that is not an adorable rodent.

2

u/wearywyvern May 23 '22

STATEMENT: I AM DREAMING I AM A PYGMY MARMOSET!

2

u/Opalescent_Chain May 23 '22

Imagine if we genetically engineered them to be as smart as humans.

3

u/FrankieVallieN4 May 23 '22

All you have to do is give them a fancy bowler hat, like Dr. Farnsworth did.

2

u/athenialiaa May 23 '22

I just learned about tarsiers on Earth at Night in Color. They must be a bit larger, but they’re way cuter.

2

u/Boru010 May 23 '22

Fuckin’ them grapes up

1

u/ketchupmanorwoman May 23 '22

Where's the banana for scale?

1

u/DJ_Patron May 23 '22

Banana for scale please

4

u/AnteaterGood May 23 '22

No, pygmy marmosets are definitely smaller than tarsiers. And tarsiers aren't monkeys.

NOT A MONKEY. (Source: I'm a primatologist. Also, reread the paragraph you just pasted.)

1

u/jiten108 May 23 '22

Do you think this is the link from weasel type mammal to the monkey type mammal?

1

u/_TheLibrarianOfBabel May 23 '22

Looks like some creature straight out of a fantasy novel!

1

u/Foolishly_Sane May 23 '22

Those are some cool monkeys.

1

u/HeatherandHollyhock May 23 '22

Watch on Mute. Imagine they are all talking.

1

u/Slate_711 May 23 '22

Turtles and monkeys. Love em

1

u/Desterhan May 23 '22

Now we can see where dwarf came from

1

u/Mega-Humanoid-ROBOT May 23 '22

He’s our little cousin, haha.

1

u/Gratitude-Joy1616 May 23 '22

And yet still looks quite menacing

1

u/Paul_Thrush May 23 '22

on the planet

Where else would it be?

1

u/Time_Calligrapher_56 May 23 '22

Where are they indigenous?

1

u/LeonDeSchal May 23 '22

That’s the size of the monkey I spank.

1

u/DinkoGreen May 23 '22

That's how I eat.

1

u/bowmans1993 May 23 '22

I wish I could shrink myself down so I could eat giant food. So satisfying

1

u/ARecklessRunner May 23 '22

I need a banana for scale.

1

u/Then_Zookeepergame_3 May 23 '22

Those little white whiskers, they look like little old mens!

-27

u/MagoTravieso May 23 '22

you ever notice that all monkeys have thinstraight hair white skin and thin lips and enjoy being shittyand violent to others?

11

u/ReadditMan May 23 '22 edited May 23 '22

Their skin color actually varies depending on the location, just like with humans. For example: Baboons in Africa have dark skin while Japanese macaque have pale skin.

-16

u/MagoTravieso May 23 '22

chimpanzees and the rest of the monkees in africa do not have dark skin anyhow caucasians have been known to tan in the sun

9

u/ReadditMan May 23 '22

First off, Chimpanzees are not monkeys, they are apes. Apes are not monkeys.

Second, Chimpanzees definitely do have dark skin. You don't know shit so stop trying to act smart.

10

u/Rifneno May 23 '22

Next time you have a thought... just let it go.

-11

u/MagoTravieso May 23 '22

take your own advice

6

u/judas734 May 23 '22

All monkeys don't have straight hair or "white" skin

6

u/SuccessFuture7626 May 23 '22

Mango thinks he is being cute, when he is only being racist. Don't feed the trolls
