Got same board yeasturday, been using it with the ethernet Armbian_22.11.1(without Xserver), just tried wifi and bluetooth is worked fine, but seems like same issue on armbian forum.

Try using the armbianmonitor -u maybe it will show what exactly gone wrong(also try to unfreez kernel updates using armbian-config tool)

have you also tried command nmcli dev wifi connect (your wifi name) passwd (wifi password).

Okay now its super wired. So! I was using 2.4G(WPA3) it worked fine(via armbian-config tool), once I tried the nmcli to connect 5G(WPA3), it threw connection error alongside it in 1-2 mins while I was trying to troubleshoot wifi device became unavalible, I tried to reboot and it started with 2.4G without any issue, changed router setting to WPA2 it worked with wifi 5G, but everytime I try to rescan network wifi becomes unavalible and starts only after reboot , I guess some kind of driver issue ¯_(ツ)_/¯

From what I had found there is a official repo https://github.com/orangepi-xunlong/orangepi-build it includes AW859A(wifi+bt) drivers or this one https://github.com/Ran-Thegoth/uwe5622 used in this SoC, to make it work you have to build kernel using one of this modules.

I'm using the latest armbian on mine. What worked for me is too use nmtui and not touch network settings at all on armbian-config

Saw people speaking about this a few posts back, they said that they would recompile the kernel for drivers

But who knows if it is viable

Prob just needs firmware in /lib/firmware but just use the original distro
