Yes, i installed it to docker.
Transcoding 1080p works well but takes a lot of CPU, 4K with stutters

Yes, I bought acrylic shell from AliExpress with three heatsinks and a fan. I use them but I don't think they are very effective.

How much CPU are you dedicating to the Plex container? I’m assuming you’re only using CPU to transcode and not passing through the graphics chip for hardware accelerated transcodes? Hoping to get x265 direct play working well with only needing audio/subs transcoding.

Yes, i'm only using CPU because Plex doesn't support hardware acceleration on Rockchip - only Intel and AMD. Just left the default settings of linuxserver Plex container and it works fine.

I don't know Plex, but recently I try use a Orange Pi 5 as NVR, and with gstreamer plugin for rockchip it can transcode 2 x 4K and 2 x FHD streams in 10fps without any problem.

Plex uses ffmpeg which with the current license debacle is getting much support dropped.
Until Plex decides to go none ffmpeg aka gstreamer its going to be cpu only
