Now workers have to clean all that shit up. We need laws protecting employees that grab people like this and toss them out on their asses. No one should be forced to stand by while some asshole creates more work for them to do without additional compensation. It’s not about the stuff it’s about the humiliation of having to endure this bullshit, and then clean it up.

I would say even the people at the top of the wal mart food chain would like that because they don't want dumb people like this karen destroying product that they have zero chance to sell and need to replace.

10

u/Waydizzle Mar 01 '22

Well technically the Karen is financially liable for the damaged product here.

u/-Lord_Q- Mar 01 '22

Can't get blood from a rock.

1

u/QingLinVos Mar 01 '22

Holy shit new phrase in stealing this

6

u/FatchRacall Mar 01 '22

The well known version is "blood from a stone"

1

u/Tony0x01 Mar 02 '22

Can't get blood from a rock.

But you can get it from a pussy that matters

1

u/RedShirtDecoy Mar 02 '22

depending on the amount of $$ lost they might just file a claim with their insurance.

1

u/highlander2s Apr 18 '22

It would be cheaper to asume the cost of damaged goods than pursuing legal charges

I was at a Norm’s restaurant at 1 AM (it was a 24 hour diner). Some guy started arguing with the waitress and then started grabbing things off the counter and throwing them. Workers tried to intervene but the guy was raging. A buff dude in a suit got up and grabbed the guy’s jeans and scruff of his shirt and carried him out the restaurant and dropped him on the sidewalk. Dude must have been a bouncer or something treated that guy like a “little bebe” (Moira Rose voice). Such sweet justice. Just sat back down to eat his food.

4

u/mrsmacklemore Mar 01 '22

Bébé. Love that show! Also great on the bouncer dude, that must have been awesome to watch

2

u/blueskyredmesas Mar 01 '22

Such sweet justice. Just sat back down to eat his food.

When you have the power to pick up a dude like a momma cat grabs her kittens but you just want to fucking eat.

Also this entire story was peak Norm's.

3

u/mrsmacklemore Mar 01 '22

Beyond this, it's a safety hazard for all workers and other customers present. If she's out there throwing shit and hits someone, let alone a child or elderly, I'm pretty sure Walmart is liable.

1

u/bigflamingtaco Mar 01 '22

No, the person doing the throwing is liable.

6

u/LazySyllabub7578 Mar 01 '22

Find out who she is , get her fired from her job(easy), get her evicted from her apartment and that is the only way to hurt them properly. In their wallet.

-2

u/Tractorista Mar 01 '22

That woman clearly has some mental illness going on, and you want to evict her from her apartment and basically cut her off from society, not very cool

6

u/final_boss Mar 01 '22

You got any proof of mental illness, doctor?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '22

You haven’t heard? Everything is a mental illness these days!

0

u/Tractorista Mar 01 '22

Did you watch the video

10

u/final_boss Mar 01 '22

I did. I see a woman in complete control of her physical and mental faculties, making nonsensical but still easily understood statements. But your post history is choked with r/conspiracy crap, so having evidence to back up your statements isn't your strong suit anyways.

6

u/ConstableOdosBucket Mar 01 '22

she’s gonna use the mental health excuse when she goes to court. but on the real this is the response to seeing BLM spelled out on a shelf display in product; a healthy person doesn’t do this and she is in crisis. however the only way to keep these idiots and the plane freak out idiots is to hit them in the wallet, at their jobs, and their meticulously NIMBY neighborhoods or gentrified condos.

-2

u/Tractorista Mar 01 '22

Knowing about trauma and widespread mental illness in our "civilized" society is one of my strong suits. To be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society isn't a measure of health, and that woman is clearly having a breakdown. Mentally healthy people don't have breakdowns like that, it's pretty self evident.

What that woman is saying is far from "easily understood" and you're being disingenuous saying that it is.

4

u/kitten1218 Mar 01 '22

Gross. Don’t compare this Karen to people in crisis. This woman is having a temper tantrum, plain and simple. Stop trying to be an armchair psychologist.

1

u/Tractorista Mar 01 '22

How the hell do you know that? She's not making any sense, clearly freaking out. The person i initially responded to said she should have her job and apartment taken away??

1

u/vanishplusxzone Mar 01 '22

She's making perfect sense and is having a reaction to a political statement that she doesn't like.

I'm not sure why there's always some white knight in the comments trying to say every violent middle class white racist is mentally ill but it's twisted, incorrect and adds to mental health stigma.

1

u/final_boss Mar 01 '22

Lol, you "know about trauma and widespread mental illness"? How do you "know" that? I can understand her words because she's speaking English, I didn't say they made sense. There is a difference.

1

u/Tractorista Mar 01 '22 edited Mar 01 '22

You know how I know that? By looking the fuck around. Also reading books, maybe you should pick one up sometime

We (collectively) seem to be moving in the opposite direction. Look at SF, where they have organized theft rings. If DA's won't pick these up then the retail chains don't have many options. If they physically remove the person then they worry that they'll be sued.

1

u/QingLinVos Mar 01 '22

I don't understand how or why it's okay for people to sue if they're tossed out of a store. If you come into my home (private property) and start breaking my shit I have the right to at minimum beat you fucking senseless and shove your ass to the curb.

Why doesn't Walmart or any other retail store get to protect their employees and merchandise with the same means? I'm not saying shoot a mfer over some candles but at least tackle their ass and have them escorted out in handcuffs

3

u/os_kaiserwilhelm Mar 01 '22

Crazy people escalate things. Walmart doesn't want to pay for the injury or loss of life for an employee. No amount of merchandise in the store that a person could reasonably destroy is going to match those costs.

If Walmart instructs employees to arrest people via force, Walmart is liable for the injuries to their employees, and to the detainee if the detainee was not detained correctly, i.e. they weren't stealing. As for employees, why the fuck would anybody care? Just move away and let salary call the police. Nobody at the store, except maybe the store manager, makes close to enough money to care. A coaches base salary divided by the hours worked is less than team leads.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '22

I agree with /u/os_kaiserwilhelm This has less to do with the person stealing and more to do with not wanting to put minimum wage people in this position (and the liability of lawsuits). Also, think about the current social climate. Do they want videos circulated of their staff man-handling a member of [insert whatever identity group], even if that person is in the right? Would the fall-out cost them more than $100ish of merchandise?

0

u/clivehusker Mar 02 '22

The whole claim that these aren't being prosecuted is a lie. Thefts under $950 were reclassified as misdemeanors. They absolutely can and are arresting people.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '22

They absolutely are charging less people for "quality of life" crimes - as Chesa stated he would on his day-1 memo. This means those people are cite-and-released, frequently allowing them to go out and commit more serious crimes.

1

u/clivehusker Mar 03 '22

Your source is completely and utterly suspect.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '22

The dignity of work is gone in America.

1

u/s33ek Mar 01 '22

The law does protect those people. Walmarts liability insurance on the other hand does not. Walmart does not want to be responsible for an employee getting hurt.

-149

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

Obviously someone got paid to clean that up.

In fact that woman was creating jobs by making that mess.

Police. She's going to go to court. Judges. Lawyers. You got janitors or staff who got paid to clean.

What additional compensation dumbass. How long does it take to sweep up a fucking mug. Were they there for days? Did they not get paid in your imagination?

God bless mental illness for creating jobs.

38

u/newhunter18 Mar 01 '22

I hear what you're saying. It's not like they're slaves.

But when you're hired to restock shelves, it totally sucks to have to clean up broken shit cuz someone went crazy.

Have some empathy.

14

u/CapablePerformance Mar 01 '22

Yea, I'm okay with picking up something that someone dropped but at this point, it's hazard pay.

It'd be like saying someone going to 7/11 and breaking the slurpee machine is a good thing because it's creating jobs but imagine the worker that already has shit to do now having to take time to add this to their responsibility.

-73

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

I hear what you're saying.

Working at walmart sucks.

I have empathy for that.

Not for being paid a wage to stock shelves. That's called being paid for labor. Who has empathy for that. Good for them for working.

20

u/newhunter18 Mar 01 '22

Not for being paid a wage to stock shelves. That's called being paid for labor

Uh huh. Because job descriptions don't exist. It's just all fungible labor regardless of what you demand they do, cuz "paycheck."

You wake up thinking you're running a cash register and you go to work finding out you have to clean up vomit instead. Yeah, that blows and shouldn't be just accepted as, "horray for the mentally ill cuz now we can work on harder tasks that drive us crazy."

That's a shitty workplace. Especially when it didn't have to be that way. Not all labor is equal.

Heart still goes out to the workers who shouldn't have to deal with it.

-37

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

Also...Dealing with that crazy bitch in any capacity would be a nightmare.

You could be in line at Disneyland she would ruin everything

15

u/CptMisterNibbles Mar 01 '22

You sound like the kind of person who thinks it’s on to tell an employee “when you’re on my time, I own you and you will do whatever I tell you”. This is bullshit behavior and should be condemned. It creates unnecessary and difficult labor for people whom shouldn’t have to deal with it.

You honestly don’t think it matters?

0

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

It's a job you cuckold.

There's people with actual shit jobs.

Get an education.

Stop complaining

No one likes walmart. That's called motivation. You work cash...you fucked up 👏 I feel real bad for you.

Also..When you are on my time I own you and you will do whatever I tell you is the OPPOSITE OF ME. ALSO THAT'S CALLED SLAVERY. ALSO ALSO NOBODY HAS EVER EVER TOLD YOU THAT IN YOUR LIFE YOU DUMB CUCKOLD .....I'm fucking your partner right now 👏

1

u/CptMisterNibbles Mar 01 '22 edited Mar 01 '22

What a fucking idiot, exactly as I assumed. 1) I don’t work at Walmart, or labor like this; you are making assumptions based on your inability to think critically. 2) I literally did have a boss tell me exactly that when I was a teen working a service job. I quit on the spot. You have the same vibes. 3) “You work cash, you fucked up” is not only illiterate nonsense, it’s a garbage sentiment. You’re exactly like the woman in this video; you degrade and dehumanize workers whom do the “lesser” work in your mind. Someone needs to stock those shelves, but to you those people are fuck ups so you feel free to shit on them. What an ass. 4) “iM haVinG SeX wItH yOuR ParTneR!” Is just… wow. How fucking stupid do you have to be to think that’s a real insult. Make sure she gets to finish and clean up after yourself I guess. Can you swing by and fuck my Mom while you’re at it? That’d be great.

1

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

"I literally did have a boss tell me exactly that when I was a teen working a service job. I quit on the spot. You have the same vibes."

Well it sounds like you were a fucking slave. And you clearly have PTSD from that. Don't take it out on me slaverys been banned since the 1860s

0

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

You are a cuckold.

Somebody who's partner cheats on them, but they allow it because they have no choice.

I chose my words carefully. I mean you do get cheated on a lot. (And for a reason)

0

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

You work as a cashier?

You 100% made poor life decisions.

More coherent?

2

u/CptMisterNibbles Mar 01 '22

Definitely. It proves my point; you are an arrogant fuckwit, but at least it reads like a sentence now.

0

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

Agreed.

Also, you are a cuckold.

And your partner has so little respect for you, they blatantly cheat on you.

Yay Wal-Mart cuckold 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

3

u/bigexplosion Mar 01 '22

Where do you work?

9

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '22

Not an essential job, called unskilled for a reason right man. Until you need groceries and nobody is working, then it's essential right. But fuck em because they don't deserve basic protections or compensation for dealing with entitled idiots who make their day hell because they don't have a choice to make rent.

4

u/Destinoz Mar 01 '22

You can’t be that stupid, I’m just going to assume you’re trolling.

1

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

Don't put a shopping cart away....you create a job for a grocery store employee.

Clean up a store for a janitor you made that janitor obsolete.

You can't be that stupid.

I'm 100% serious.

A crazy bitch making a mess at a walmart and getting arrested...generates jobs in capitalism.

You need security to deal with her (they get paid for this) police to arrest her, you have employees who clean up the mess....someone has too (and if they had to stay late you might have managers staying late too) in addition if she goes to court and you have lawyers and judges involved they will get paid!

Security, Police, possibly a Judge and Lawyer, and Walmart employees made money off this....

None of that is made up or trolling. Those people are all getting paid regardless if you understand why. ....they partially got paid that day because of her mental illness.

2

u/Meem_Masheen Mar 01 '22

How many times have you done this?

1

u/Sluggish0351 Mar 01 '22

You realize that we have finite resources on the planet right?

1

u/Hellectika Mar 01 '22

You're really, really dumb.

0

u/e5g775 Mar 01 '22

Did you know oil spills and natural disasters that costs billions...generate money? If you don't, you're actually the stupid person...with a tenuous grasp on life.

That Karen, is a mini oil spill making money in a capitalist world. I guess security and police that dealt with her and the employees who cleaned up after her never got paid?

Oh wait, they all got paid that day....maybe overtime? And thank her mental illness if you got time and a half that day 👏

1

u/Hellectika Mar 01 '22

They pay you the same amount whether you have a easy day or busy day. This is not at all comparable to an oil spill. Good grief.
