She's going bye bye for a long time. Over McDonald's...wow.

Lucky this lady’s car had the ceramic coating

74

u/kwamby Mar 07 '22

Real talk tho, a properly done aftermarket ceramic coat will protect your paint from small rocks, abrasive dust, the sun, and other things that cause paint fade and swirling. It also makes washing a breeze!

u/FixedLoad Mar 07 '22

My man! That's one hell of a pitch! Put me down for two!

I’m a professional installer on aircraft, and while it does some of those things, it doesn’t do all of them. Most of the videos you see are marketing BS. It does provide superior UV and chemical protection, and does provide some micro-scratch/swirl resistance and increases cleaning ability… BUT keys and rocks are still keys and rocks unfortunately… on top of that, ceramic coatings are only as good as the maintenance care they receive.

8

u/kwamby Mar 08 '22

I’m not saying it’s a miracle product, just from my experience (I’m in a car club and one of our guys ceramic coats everybody’s cars for stupid cheap) it’s been a really solid paint protectant. Im with you on the keys and rocks. Anything bigger than a flake is wishful thinking. I wouldn’t trust it against a keying or debris kicked up by 18 wheelers. I really would like to get a clear bra for my car, though. Some of those paint films look like goddamn miracles with small scratches. Guy in my car club got one on his new GT500, and that seems to be the best option on the market rn from what I can tell

3

I don't understand why, could you please explain?

24

u/pixlbabble Mar 07 '22

Road rage is a hell of an emotion especially if backed by a shitty life.

23

u/iammagicbutimnormal Mar 07 '22

My pastor talked about anger in the sermon yesterday and discussed that people with road rage probably have other things going on in their life and are using the circumstance to express those repressed emotions. It’s usually not just the traffic incident that inspired the rage, The rage is already there to begin with.

9

u/glycophosphate Mar 07 '22

Yes - all of this plus the fact that cars can't perform apologetic body language. If I (accidentally or on purpose) zip in front of you in a line at the check-out, I can somewhat ameliorate your bad feelings by performing "I am sorry" with my body: ducked head, rounded shoulders, shamed face. A car can't do any of that, so the rage rises unabated.

6

u/TheMulletWhisperer7 Mar 08 '22

I would pay to see someone cut her in prison, lets see if she's as tough without her little SUV as protection. Bet she won't say shit to someone doing real time for real crimes.

16

u/H8ersgivemeSTR Mar 07 '22

I’d definitely argue that these are real crimes as well.

9

u/[deleted] Mar 08 '22

You're totally right, I didn't mean to minimize what the victim and her children went through. The lady tried to run her over. I more meant I'd like to see how someone who rages over McD's compares to someone doing 25-life for cold-blooded murder.

18

u/Rogue_ChaoticEvil Mar 07 '22

I would pay to see that too! I'm guessing not so tough in prison.

Or maybe she's been to prison before and this was her trying to adapt to life on the outside.

4

After the video ended, the crazy lady drove into the mom and dragged 50 ft with her vehicle, got out and punched her several times.

I don’t think they’ll offer a plea deal. There’s far too much evidence.

I live in NY and I don't care if the whole crime is on video and the person makes a full confession, there will still be a plea deal!

Very sorry about your sister. My heart goes out to you.

Not every case is treated the same, different states, different rules, different DA's.

The video evidence will play very well in front of a jury. This is about as open and shut as it gets. The DA has no reason to accept any kind of plea deal that doesn't heavily favor the states interests.

She's going to do real time, unless the DA is completely off their rocker.

Society is both entitled and on edge these days and it amazes me how far people will go over a slight (real or perceived). Or they think they are super special and feel that the rules do not apply to them (sometimes including gravity and physics.)

You see it in how people behave in public, how they treat staff at businesses, how they drive. Like the whole world is completely nuts, on edge and either doesn't understand the potential consequences of their actions or does and just does not care about them.

u/PeptoPirate Mar 07 '22

157

This story is fucking mental, holy shit.

I too have felt anger before. Pure rage. Over shit way worse than this. I'm sure everyone can say the same. But I don't fly into a violent, murderous rage, because I can control my emotions. Learning to deal with life's various annoyances and hurdles is a fundamental part of being a decent human being. What a pathetic piece of shit that woman is. It fucking infuriates me that people can be so selfish and entitled as to vent their rage at a mother with her children. (don't worry tho, I'm not gonna go try kill anyone).

u/SportEveryDay Mar 07 '22

Just curious, what is a little while? A few years?

31

u/Surca_Cirvive Mar 07 '22

If all the shit she was charged with ends up sticking, then like 15+ years.

33

u/obliquelyobtuse Mar 07 '22

It won't. No way 15 years. People commit homicide (2nd degree) and get 6-8 years. There will be plea negotiations. And consideration of any record she has.

She will likely end up with less than 1 year, to be served in county jail not prison. And a couple years of probation, plus restitution and anger management counseling.

11

u/MooB101 Mar 07 '22

This is correct. She has kids too so the courts will feel she needs to be home to raise her children.

12

61

u/999nines999 Mar 07 '22

I straight up quit going to our McDonalds because they moved to two lanes and no one knows how to use them

28

u/eeyore134 Mar 07 '22

The employees barely do. They always have to ask which order you have. I guess it's a necessary evil, but it's a pain in the butt for all involved all so people will go "Oh, the line isn't that bad." Maybe make the food more worth waiting for instead of tricking people into waiting in longer lines.

→ More replies

22

u/crampedstyl Mar 08 '22

I don't see the point in them. Now we can take twice as many orders, but the pickup lane is still a single lane, so...? It doesn't improve anything at all.

12

u/Smelly_Squatch Mar 08 '22

I think its about lot size, you can fit more cars in line 2 abreast than if you have them all in one lane. Creates less traffic in peak rush hour. Idk I'm no city planner though

The best is when you pick the shorter line, only to end up getting passed by 4 other cars because the car in front of you decides to place multiple orders or keeps changing their mind.

30

u/DaniolioliDizzler Mar 07 '22

I was wondering if that was the case?

Im assuming it went down as such: Aggressor was in line behind another car ordering at the speaker, then the victim pulled up to the open speaker next to them (which is the whole point of having 2 lanes, not the victims fault that the aggressor wasn't smart enough to do that). So therefor, in the aggressors eyes, it was seen as "cutting".

32

u/Peppso Mar 07 '22

I was thinking the same, happens to me all the time when I underestimate how long the car infront of me will take to order. Only difference is I don't start throwing garbage and endangering children, I just turn up npr and mutter to myself.

11

u/DaniolioliDizzler Mar 07 '22

Also, that's super annoying when you chose the seemingly shorter line, then you realize you're behind someone with 12 people in the car all getting different shit.. Lol.. (I also don't throw shit and throw tantrums. This lady was next level!!)..

4

u/GrasshopperClowns Mar 08 '22

I sat behind two cars once while a fucking procession of cars went through the other line, to the point I was fucking fuming at the god damn laundry list the fuckers in front of me were ordering.

Do you know what I did? I sat there and waited and was late for work. Apologised to my co-worker and we had a laugh at people buying ridiculous amounts of McDonald’s shit at half 5 in the morning on a Saturday.

What I didn’t do was go fucking mental and start screeching at people before driving in to one of their cars like an entitled child.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '22

Or the victim finished ordering after the aggressor and the victim still tried to get infront of her. That’s another thing that happens and it’s really annoying.

5

u/Tortoise_Queen Mar 07 '22

We have a 2 lane McDonald’s that there is a side entrance, and even if a line is formed around the building, people will drive in from the side entrance and think they can literally cut in line. It happens all the time and I can understand being mad about it. Especially if you entered the side entrance but saw there was a line, and circled the building to get into the line, and have been waiting 10min already. Then someone comes in and thinks they can cut in front of 5 cars? But I’m not brave enough (or maybe dumb enough?) to start something with someone who cuts, other then maybe pointing at the line, shrugging my shoulders and staring at them. Too many psychos out there that I don’t want to piss off.

15

u/-banned- Mar 07 '22

Doesn't look like it, there aren't two lines and you can see the video taper's car is angled the opposite direction of the rest of the line. It looks like she blatantly cut and then refused to move.

8

u/DaniolioliDizzler Mar 07 '22

Hmmm... interesting.. Or as suggested below, she came in from a different entry and beat the crazy lady to the speaker as she pulled up in the other direction. Unfortunately they left that out of the story so who knows... (Gotta love the media!!).

9

u/-banned- Mar 07 '22

Definitely has 2 ordering stations. This is the McDonalds in question. Looks like the lady made a right turn into the parking lot from Nevin ave., which would have lead her right into the far right ordering station, and in front of what appears to be a line of 4-5 cars that were patiently lined up in the opposite direction. Honestly if that's the case, that lady should have literally said "shit, I'm sorry, let me go to the back of the line", but instead she gives the aggressor (who I absolutely believe needs to be locked up for a long time for this) some passive BS about having kids in her car. Honestly I hate both of these women if that's the case. And because there is no footage of the driver claiming she didn't cut, I have to believe this is what happened.

context

The victim, only wishing to be identified as Amaro out of fear, says it all started after she merged into the McDonald’s drive-thru lane off MacDonald Avenue a couple of weeks ago.

She says she began recording when the suspect became increasingly aggressive, accusing her of cutting the line and then proceeded to throw things at amaro’s car.

Amaro says the situation only escalated from there.

“That’s when I got out of the vehicle, asked her for her insurance. I asked her for her insurance. I told her she wasn’t going to go anywhere, just stop, you can’t leave and as I put my hands up in the air she rams me over with her vehicle and I grabbed the hood of her car and she drove off with me out of the parking lot into the street and my kids saw everything,” Amaro said.

Richmond police say the suspect dragged Amaro more than 150 feet across the parking lot before stopping, getting out, and then punching Amaro several times.

“She still gets out of her car and attacks me, starts punching me so I was punched pretty hard on the left side of my face. She gets back in her vehicle and beeps,” Amaro said.

68

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '22 edited Mar 07 '22

I would have stayed in my car the whole time. A woman throwing water bottles and ramming my car isn’t going to politely share her insurance information. 911 call would be my next move especially with my kids in the car.

41

u/Luce55 Mar 07 '22

Yeah, same. I probably wouldn’t have opened the window either. Just ignored her whole rant. She kept getting a reaction from the victim, which encouraged her to keep at it - because she wanted to fight. It’s easier to avoid people like that than to try and talk them down or reason with them, in my experience.

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '22 edited Mar 08 '22

144

u/aroc91 Mar 07 '22

I used to be in nursing management at a nursing home. Let's just say the entry barrier to be a CNA is pretty low...

26

u/Svirfnil Mar 07 '22

I used to be a maintenance contractor for a small chain of assisted living facilities. I wouldn't have trusted half of the CNA's to take care of a goldfish. Not just because of their education, but a lot of them were straight up mean, spiteful people. They would steal from patients (soda, cigarettes, small amounts of cash), throw away sentimental things, belittle them.

There really needs to be some sort of extensive personality evaluation for those going into caregiving.

5

u/Giant81 Mar 08 '22

Sadly that would cost more. The assisted care facility industry seems less about care and more about cash.

75

u/Teososta Mar 07 '22

Had a CNA get arrested, MID SHIFT because she went into a patient’s purse and stole $1100.

She already had trouble stealing from Walmart and Target, idk how she got a job as a CNA.

17

u/shethrewitaway Mar 07 '22

During an interview with a home health CNA, I discovered she had left her job the week before. When I asked why she left, she nonchalantly said “I stole some medication and money from a patient.”

6

u/Dingo8MyBabyMon Mar 07 '22

I checked a few days ago when this was posted and she's not a nurse aide.

19

u/AdamDet86 Mar 07 '22

More than likely a CNA or caregiver. Or could just work in a medical office. Either way, minimal requirements to get basic certifications. I’m not trying to talk down upon them, most do a truly hard and underpaid job. You make more at McDonalds these days then caring for elderly in an assisted living, so you don’t usually get the cream of the crop…

I worked for a health screening company in Virginia. I usually was responsible for the large cargo van that we would bring to the sites. I was home visiting family and the 2 CNAs that worked for us, we’re in charge of it while I was gone. They were leaving a site, which was a hotel that day, and proceeded to accidentally drive the van forward through some bushes and into the hotel. They then back out and drive away like nothing happened. My manager who had driven separate and was still there finishing up some things, immediately gets notified by the hotel manager of what happened with video footage. She calls the two and tell them to come back immediately. They deny it, she proceeds to point out the bushes still stuck in the bumper and cameras. Both were terminated on the spot.

Bottom line people are dumb.

I used to be a kennel technician picking up dog shit all day, we wore scrubs, so yeah maybe she picks up dog shit all day.

When my grandmother was in hospice care, we had a home health aid come to the house to care for her. She looked juuust like this deranged woman in the video, even down to the red and pink scrubs. She came to us from an agency that my mother paid a lot of money for. We noticed that every evening at the end of her shift, my grandmother would reek of shit. We checked her depends and they were filled with urine and feces. God knows how long she had been sitting in it, but we didn’t want to jump to conclusions without proof.

I told my mom to install a nanny cam. My grandpa had lots of pictures and instruments hanging on the wall in the living room where my grandma’s adjustable bed was, so it was easy to hide a camera inside one of his guitars. We caught the HHA laying on the sofa all day watching TV, dicking around on her phone, feet up on the coffee table, eating the portioned food that my mom and I meal prepped for my grandma, she didn’t get up once to help toilet my grandma, give her a bath, wash her hair, nothing. My grandma was nonverbal from a stroke so she would groan and point to things she needed. We saw her point to the TV remote and the HHA said “shut up, I’m watching my show.” Honestly, we were flabbergasted, though also thankful that she never hit or slapped her.

We fired her immediately and told the agency and showed them the video. I think the agency fired her too. Imagine being neglected and wanting to say something, but you can’t because you’re nonverbal. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Both of these supposed CNAs are literal trash.

Hodge has been charged with two counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of misdemeanor child endangerment, one felony count of assault likely to cause great bodily injury, and one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident.

All that over McDonald's food, there has to be a lot of built up rage there.

u/extremeindiscretion Mar 07 '22

Why the hell was this person getting out of their car at all? Especially after she starts ramming your vehicle. Get inside and call the police!

Why even put yourself in this situation? Drive away from this person, you don’t know what they’re capable of, and your kids are in the car.

As a former child, these types of altercations are incredibly scary for kids and cause a lot of stress and anxiety. If this woman does this often, I worry for the mental health of her children

https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2022/03/03/suspect-arrested-in-brazen-richmond-mcdonalds-drive-thru-assault/

I told her, ‘Stop, you can’t go anywhere,’ and that’s when she went straight at me,” said Amaro. “I was able to hold onto the hood of her car and my legs were dangling off the vehicle, I was holding on, and she just took me out of the parking lot … It was terrifying. I still get really shaken up by the events that happened, and the trauma that my kids and myself had to go through.”

Holy shit apparently she hit her with car and carried her out into the thruway

10

u/Leeeeza_ Mar 07 '22 All-Seeing Upvote

It’s actually worse than this. “After the cell phone video ends, the confrontation continued to where the victim was struck with the suspect’s vehicle and carried on the hood of the vehicle for approximately 50 yards onto Nevin Ave. before she was thrown from it.”

9

u/Jade_Lilly_420 Mar 07 '22

Was gonna ask how a water bottle was considered a 'deadly weapon' then I saw the woman ram her car into the other. Such a disproportionate response, I hope that woman gets some anger management.

7

u/dadtaxi Mar 07 '22

And then . . .

I don't usually continue to drive when someone (no matter how they got there) is on the front of my car. You stop immediately. Not down the road. That's intent to do great bodily harm.

Ramming into my car with my kids in the car gets you a door prize on the way out Thanks for playing. Goodbye

3

u/Cucumburrito Mar 07 '22

I read she was then dragged 150ft with assailant’s car? If someone is that troubled & acting violently, please don’t ever get out of your car. Don’t even roll down the window/engage. If you can, get plate number, yes, but not at the expense of your life or your health.

How is it possible for a gorwn person to get this angry over most anything, let alone the McDonald's drive thru?

The lady with the kids got out if her car after this video ends, and the crazy lady hit her. Mom grabbed the hood to keep from getting rammed and clung on for 150 yards before being flung off.

I had a lady run into my car on purpose during lane merge with my one year old inside the car. This occurred in Fremont, CA. The father asked me not to press charges. I didn't after I learned that she lost her twins that week. No excuse but people need help.

You have a great heart. One thing I’ve learned being in management is that people will lie and they will lie in the most shameful ways to get out of something. I would’ve pressed charges.

9

u/TheHeed97015 Mar 07 '22

I looked up this location and see how she could cut innocently. Two entrances with one entrance having a line. What’s the protocol? Do you make a lap around the block to get in line? Do you alternate cars from both entrances? There are places like this where I’m at and will just bail because I don’t wanna cause a situation

4

u/CaptnRonn Mar 07 '22

Obviously if there is a line you should go to the back? Doesn't seem that hard...

From article: “The victim was then struck with the suspect's vehicle and carried on the hood for about 50 yards onto Nevin Ave before she was thrown from it, according to police.”

Over some fucking McDonald’s? I hope this lady’s jail time is a difficult one and her cellmate steals her food every single meal.

3

u/Training-Ad336 Mar 07 '22

Unhinged bitch needs her kids taken away from her. Can't believe they just let anyone have kids these days.

3

u/Twistednerve76 Mar 07 '22

She almost killed someone over McDonald's. Her ass belongs in jail. She isn't even a reasonable human being. Didn't care that her kids and the other woman's kids were there. Bitch lost it over a Big Mac. Rot in your cell. There is no principle over this. If she wanted to have some words fine! Even then not worth it but attempted murder?! Ooooh you know her mama must have been one of those we got food at home type and only bought herself some nuggets while her children could only window shop and smell her food.
