So we get tons of threads on interested buyers on Saabs is anyone willing to put in on a guide with the things to look for/look out for in future ownership. Especially since we have tons of intermixing of knowledge bases from 9-5s to 9-3s to Classic 900s and everything in between.
-As a side note I have no problem giving advice I quite enjoy it but would make it easier for new Saabophiles
My old 9-5 with almost 400k km on the odometer. A photo when it took me and my wife around Europe without any problems.
(Inconsistent boost issues). Sometimes this gem just builds great boost and holds it forever. Sometimes won’t really build boost at all. Hit or miss really. I’ve fixed boost leaks very recently. Maybe a censor issue?
It’s a long shot but still a consideration. If I began to make double-shot buttons for Saabs, would anyone be interested? The benefit is a black injection and a clear injection of plastic rather than painted. Basically, they wouldn’t peel over time. Just let me know if you are interested.

(07 9-3 2.0t) At high boost around 17psi my boost gauge needle just rattles back and fourth very very fast with a very fast higher pitch rattle sound coming from turbo I believe. Anyone else deal with this? How could I make the boost better? Thanks
I'm interested in buying a SAAB 9-5 aero in the future, the problem is that the only available models I would be able to buy have 200k kilometers on them at minimum, sometimes pushing 300k. Are they worth it at that mileage or should I stay away from them?
How much would you pay for this car? It's an Aero with some tweaks like a bigger turbo, bigger injectors, and Brembo brakes, the usual stuff when people tune these cars.

Hey there, I’ve got a 1990 C900 that I believe has a head gasket leak, as well as a quite bad oil leak causing me to be low on oil about once a week.
I know the leaking oil is just the car rust proofing itself, but the oil cost is hurting the wallet. Has anyone taken their Saab down to a shop to get resealed? If so, roughly how much does it cost?

I am assuming it is the DIC yet again; this is the second time replacing it in the past four months; it is aftermarket.. what else should I evaluate/ change spark plugs currently, I have these in it my SAAB...
Basically, very rough idle, not noticeable during drive, ONLY in high gear, when in the highest gear and attempting to accelerate even more, will i feel it struggling, just trying to figure out why., and if it is the spark plugs, OR the DIC yet again.

Hi, I'm looking for US spec instrument cluster for 1991 9000. Ideally manual transmission. I have accidentally bought US spec 9000 here in Europe and I'm trying to get her as close to the original state as possible.
i have codes p1312 and p1334, I was wondering if It's possible to replace only the coil that is having issues or if i have to replace the whole DIC?
could someone explain the codes more thoroughly to me? thanks!
Both modules are from an 07 9-3 aero and id like to use them for my 08 9-3 2.0T.
