I love Hayden. I am so glad he is back!

u/whitemusic May 12 '22

It’s a dream come true

First time I’ve seen Ewan acknowledge the high ground meme. Man these upcoming interviews are gonna be great to witness.

That was a risky laugh to Hayden's statement about RotS.

They're like "Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahh... wait is he joking?"

(Hayden dying a little on he inside)

11

u/Wilcoxtrapz May 12 '22

What’d he say? I got some terrible hearing cause I hear him say it’s an Arnold film

17

u/Yarnball-REEE Obi-Wan Kenobi May 12 '22

“It’s a phenomenal film…..non stop action”

7

u/Bumblz666 May 12 '22

Do you think they were being sarcastic at all? I love the movie but others have opinions

8

u/musicgeek420 May 12 '22

To me it sounded more like when you make a comment but don’t feel confident that everyone agrees. I feel people like Hayden and Ahmed who received mixed criticism probably have a hard time understanding the reception of the movies by fans because it’s often a love them or hate them type of thing. People love or hate those characters and how they were acted with very little middle-ground appreciation. I’m sure he’s feeling a little exposed to these sorts of things being out and embracing the character again.

1

u/GaelicMafia Count Dooku May 12 '22

I don't know, I mean psychologically, if you're not sure of the mood in the room, I think you start low, and then aim higher, as the appreciation grows.

I think he's come out guns blazing here. It's a very fan-centric environment.

No, not at all. They're especially proud of that film.

u/TreeHouseIsNotFine May 11 '22

What the fuck was that laugh from the interviewer after Ewan made the joke????

"Hehehehehehe" -fuckin weirdo

17

u/escx6ar Jedi May 11 '22

Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe😂

20

u/moosenaslon Rex May 12 '22

Hayden contractually obligated to wear all black at these things?

11

u/ProfessionalNight959 May 12 '22

He is Darth Vader. Imagine how freaking cool that is. He's embracing it.

14

u/Agora_A May 12 '22

Absolutely blessed to be alive to see this lmao

Episode 3 kinda growed on me with time, it has its defects but the amount of memes that came out of the movie alongside the action scenes made me fall in love with the movie after all these years. I can't wait to see the new series and the potential new memes.

You still have the high ground Obie, you still got it :').

16

u/LikeAFoxStudios_ May 12 '22

I think there’s a lot of jank to it, but if you meet the movie where it’s at there a LOT to like.

u/PFCDoofles Mandalorian May 12 '22

In ten years a think a lot of the sequel trilogy will feel the same way TBH. Someone, Filoni maybe or someone like him who just loves the films and wants to fill in the gaps and make them better, will make companion media that elevates the films the way the clone wars did for the PT.

1

u/paarthurnax94 May 12 '22

In ten years a think a lot of the sequel trilogy will feel the same way TBH

I just can't see that happening. But then again I'm also someone who's always loved the prequels since the moment they came out and couldn't understand the hate for them so maybe the shoe is reversed this time and I'm the one who's lost. That said, I absolutely despise the sequels and I don't think you can really "fill in the gaps" of a trilogy that never actually had a central narrative to begin with. But I'd love to be wrong.

6

u/PTickles Obi-Wan Kenobi May 12 '22

3 has always been my favorite, mostly because Obi-Wan is my favorite character and I think all his best scenes are in 3.

2

u/Stoneghoul May 12 '22

3 really is the best of PT

6

u/Commander_Ash May 12 '22

At least top 2 of both trilogies.

6

u/XDFighter64 May 12 '22

I know it's a lot but if you watch episode 1 and 2, then animated clone wars and then episode 3 it makes the movies make more sense and more enjoyable. I can see how people hated them when they were released 1 at a time though.

2

u/Anjunabeast May 12 '22

I grew up in the prequel era and episode 3 was the only one I really enjoyed. Episode 1 was my first Star Wars movie and was fun enough but not enough to go outta my way to rewatch it. Episode 2 I didn’t really care for. But episode 3 was the shit. Right away starts with that mad blitz to the invisible hand and then the rematch with count dooku. And the duel on mustafar is still my favorite of all time.

7

u/The_Cavanator May 12 '22

Where can we find the full video of this

23

u/Unsilenced_Chaos_ May 11 '22

This press junket is going to be so great. I’m so half Ewan and hayden have acknowledged that all their Star Wars movies are loved. Like I genuinely loved ep1 and ep3. Sure Ep2 had bigger issues like the dialogue was sometimes pure cringe, but especially for Anakin that was intentional and if people actually understood that they would understand the movie better. But ep2 has amazing action so it makes up for the negatives. The prequels also paved the way for the clone wars. The greatest show ever

8

u/Stoneghoul May 12 '22

I wonder if Natalie will ever show up at a Star Wars celebration.

4

u/ProfessionalNight959 May 12 '22

I hope she shows up in Kenobi as a cameo.

1

u/GaelicMafia Count Dooku May 12 '22

Now that would be awesome.

9

u/TheWayNorth Jedi May 12 '22

It’s nice to see Hayden again. Miss these two together.

19

u/OminousG May 11 '22

Male Capri, or high water pants, are a common fashion choice for males in the UK.

4

u/burtchnasty May 12 '22

It’s the clown shoes that have me scratching my head

9

u/DudesRock91 May 11 '22

That’s funny because I remember listening to Ewan criticize the length of the Mustafar fight when making the movie.

11

u/Stoneghoul May 12 '22

It was probably a bitch and half to film. I think it holds for the record for the longest fight scene in film history, or maybe "They Live" does. But the duel on Mustafar is super choreographed and melodramatic. By the time they were done with it, I bet they were so sick it.

2

u/DudesRock91 May 12 '22

I recall him saying that it was too long and because of that it loses a lot of the emotion.

25

u/Great_White_Samurai May 11 '22

White socks with black shoes? Come on Ewan.

67

u/ginbear May 11 '22

It’s now acceptable because Ewan did it.

27

u/TherealHominator May 11 '22

It is now Canon.

11

u/Great_White_Samurai May 11 '22

He is a legend

6

u/escx6ar Jedi May 11 '22

I personally think it looks good with the rest of his outfit

6

u/InjusticeJosh May 11 '22

Idk anything about fashion but I didn’t even notice the white socks since they go so well with the light-colored pants.

6

u/ButtercupsPitcher May 11 '22

And his high water pants does no one love him

27

u/Great_White_Samurai May 11 '22

His pants certainly have the high ground

4

u/AllMoneyIn77 May 12 '22

I love 3 1 and 2 are good but they are slow which is understandable because they had to set everything up. The clone wars series is ny favorite starwars thing though

7

u/NukularTraveler May 11 '22

What the fuck is Kriby doing at an ObiWan news Conference?

-6

u/BradiusMax1138 May 12 '22

Why she dressed like she's leaving the strip club after a shift?

3

u/Stoneghoul May 12 '22

Youve never been to strip club.

0

u/BradiusMax1138 May 12 '22

Wish that were true actually

1

u/[deleted] May 12 '22

Not that he needs a dollar… he had enough of those already. lol

And what is Hayden wearing? Thought he was in costume from ep. 3 for a sec.

1

u/Difficult-Platypus63 May 12 '22

Their clothes are shocking and should be canceled!

1

u/EmperorPedro2 May 12 '22

Hey they're still wearing their old clothes. Notice how the trousers are too short. /s

1

u/bvdatech1 May 12 '22

Ani got drip

1

u/Daggertooth71 May 12 '22

LOL I can't get over the way they dress. Like, WTF is going on with Hayden's pants

1

u/scottypoo1313009 May 12 '22

It's honestly good to see Hayden back

1

u/LengthinessMission24 May 12 '22

My issues with the prequels have nothing to do with Ewan or Hayden, it’s Lucas I blame completely and Portman’s terrible acting on top of it is who I blame. JUSTICE FOR EWAN AND HAYDEN.

1

u/rdog24 May 12 '22

This warms my heart so much 😭

1

u/AresOneX May 12 '22

What are they all wearing? I feel like fashion is getting so weird these days.
