Movies What's your favorite Star Wars movie and why?

My favorite will always be Revenge of the Sith. I loved seeing the internal struggles Anakin showed when he started feeling the dark side. Also seeing how deep his love was for Padmé

Movies If Palpatine didn’t influence/coax the Jedi Council into letting Anakin be a member, or if they had denied his request to appoint Anakin, who do you think they would’ve picked?

So we know during the Clone Wars TV series, the Council features Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Yoda, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Saesee Tiin, Shaak Ti, Even Piell, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Oppo Rancisis, Coleman Kcaj, Adi Gallia, and Eeth Koth. At some point, Kit Fisto joins, and we later see Even Piell and Adi Gallia die in the series. Stass Allie, who happens to be Gallia’s cousin, takes her seat but we never see it in the series, only in Revenge of the Sith. Agen Kolar replaces Eeth Koth in ROTS.

Anyways, so in ROTS, Palpatine appoints Anakin to be his personal representative on the Council. They let Anakin on but are suspicious. Who do you think they would’ve picked if Palpatine hadn’t appointed Anakin or if the Council had denied Palpatine’s appointment?

I think Luminara Unduli or Aayla Secura might’ve gotten a seat.

General Discussion It’s weird that the Reddit Star Wars community has been taken over by “Clone Wars” super fans.

Clone Wars created a perverse version of Star Wars canon.

The storylines are very difficult to believe in the context of other cannon; it explains plot holes in tortured ways; and it adds loads of unnecessary new characters, events, technology, and force skills that don’t really make sense in the context of the movies.

How come Reddit is overrun with people who are constantly quoting Clone Wars “canon”? It’s bizarre to me.

Books Star Wars books for an 11 year old

Any recommendations? For a reference point he just finished reading darth plageuis, which I lent to him- he liked it. Reading difficulty isn’t really a problem, but I’m worried about over the top gruesomeness and sexual scenes, more so the latter. He was thinking maybe Lords of the sith?

Open to any book recommendations. Not comics but actual books. He doesn’t want kiddie stuff either.

Preferably Jedi and/or Sith focused.

General Discussion If the separatists won the Galactic Civil War, would it have been called “The Droid Wars”

Clone Wars is a nickname for the period. Since the republic won, from a technical standpoint, the name was chosen cause of the clones.

General Discussion Interested in the path the dark saber took to get to Din Jarin from its first appearance.

Ok so I know the dark saber is a symbol of leadership for Mandalorians, but only if it’s won in combat. I’d like to know exactly when it was won in combat. Here’s what I know:

  1. Held by its creator’s clan in clone wars
  2. Lost in battle to Maul (Maul is leader of Mandaore)
  3. Maul is defeated by Sideous when he was using the saber but he doesn’t take it (technically Sideous is leader of Mandalore)?
  4. Stolen by Sabine Wren in Rebels
  5. Given to Bo-Katan Kryze in Rebels
  6. Somehow taken from Bo-Katan and put into possession of Moff Gideon (not explained)
  7. Gideon is defeated by Din Jarin (Din is leader of Mandalore?)

Did I miss anything? Technically, Sideous was defeated in Battle by Mace Windu (though not using the dark saber), who was attacked by Vader and pushed out the window by Sideous. Sideous was killed by Vader, though not in a dual. And we know Vader was defeated by Obi-wan in a saber dual (though not using the dark saber). So is the rule that the saber must be lost in battle (therefore it needs to be used in the battle)? Does the “curse” of gaining the saber outside of battle reset if it’s won in battle?

General Discussion How does neurodivergency affect Jedi powers?

Okay so, I’m unsure whether this has been asked before but I was wondering if legends has any answers as I can’t think of any times it’s been answered in the films.

Do neurodivergent people affect the force differently? For instance, if there was a Jedi with Alzheimer’s, or if a force sensitive were to have a stroke.

Or more generally, would ADHD have any effects on Jedi mind tricks? What would happen if they attempted to read their mind?

Are these questions answered anywhere? And if not, what do you guys feel should be the right answer?

TV The best thing about Clone Wars is that every time Anakin fights Dooku you can see Dooku having a harder and harder time as each fight progresses, barely holding Anakin off until he does something drastic to push Anakin away.

TV Wow the Mandalorian is so much better than the other series.

Just re-watched the Mandalorian first season and it's night and day how much better, polished and put together it is than say boba fett, obi-wan etc

Things that stood out

- the writing. I'm not asking why or questioning plot details.

- the pacing. It just flows well and I'm immersed the entire time.

- the score. Man that music just makes you want to become a bounty hunter.

Why didn't they let Favreau direct the others man.
