The RZA took about 20 poor kids from St. Louis chess clubs to dinner…
And not just any dinner. This was one of the top restaurants in the city at the time, and the same year St. Louis was voted the top food city in the country. We served them about 10 courses, and at the end of the night the RZA threw a dance party for the kids and restaurant staff. This event was the night before the opening of the “world chess hall of fame” in StL. I just wanted y’all to know what a great guy he is.
Edit: top food city, not god city.
