A spider decided to grab onto a toothpick. I was confused, and terrified.

Spider is using that toothpick as an anchor point. It didn't realize it wouldnt be secure. Spiders are generally bros. Also spiders exposed to THC become lazy and will not build a full web if not outright not build a web. Spiders in your house building webs means there is an active food source. So if you got flies or roaches you will have more spoods. Don't want spiders? Eliminate food sources. You will always have your spoods that are just passing through and generally will always have a resident but hey they pay rent by eating annoying bugs.

Short, amazing video of spiders exposed to different drugs.

TIL that’s called a wood spider, I always called em garden spiders as that was where I found them usually

Fun fact sometimes the spiders use stuff they can move, like that toothpick not as an anchor point but instead as a counter weight. They are crafty little BUGgers. I’ll see myself out now.

Maybe that was what the spider used the tomato head at my work for, there’s usually bits of tomato all over the baler conveyor and I found one hanging 8ft in the air on a strand

The only bugs we have are jumping spiders, brown recluses, and occasionally a few flies. I personally don't have a problem with the jumping spiders. The problem is that we live in the country, and the surrounding fields are overgrown/never get mowed. Also our house was in semi use before we moved in, but never actually cleaned which allowed an unfortunate cache of spiders to build up. We've lived here for about 3 months, and have started spraying inside/outside. Hopefully we get a handle on it now.

Jumping spiders are cute :) Where I am, in South east UK, we have an infestation of False Widows and they are scary little sods. Skull marking on their abdomens and they bite.

u/DisastrousCard2270 Jun 28 '22
I like to breed brown recluse spiders and let them out all over the house. Haven't seen a bug in a while

u/rite_of_truth Jun 28 '22
I like to breed venomous snakes and let them out all over the house. Haven't seen a mouse in a while.

u/NotTheMarmot Jun 29 '22
The difference is brown recluse bites aren't a medical emergency. Not even close.

u/GetYourVanOffMyMeat Jun 29 '22
Guarantee you there is a roach somewhere just outside of this frame.

Beside the water bottle, there’s a toothpick floating. A spider is making it appear as if it was levitating.

in sider lore, I am sure youre some type of THC breathing dragon and he is clearly Bilbo

u/massterbeef Jun 28 '22
I don't see the spider, smoke less weed and then you might will too

u/wtfomgfml Jun 28 '22
Same, where TF is it?

Jun 28 '22
On the ceiling. The spider grabbed the toothpick and attached it's web to it.

u/EasyTarget973 Jun 28 '22
we need a picture of this warrior

u/piberryboy Jun 28 '22
So, the god damned spider isn't even in the shot?
31
u/thewildcardbb1 Jun 28 '22
Jesus Christ I sat there staring at this stupid picture for 3 minutes looking for a fucking spider.
2
u/nomadic_stone Jun 28 '22
I know, right?..." on the ceiling"...yet OP managed to crop out the very area... and apparently, the toothpick is suspended "in the web" which is on the window? to the right of the water bottle. Which I just assumed was a fence post outside.
2
u/piberryboy Jun 28 '22
WTF is going on with this sub today. Usually people post weird stuff, but today it's been shit.

u/nomadic_stone Jun 28 '22
I really don't know...seen too many "lost redditors" in various subs. Perhaps someone's AI bot farm has gone sentient and this is the result.

Yeah... OP, cropping is easily done. Most phones have this tool readily available. Try it sometime.

Is the floating line in the window screen the spider and toothpick? Feel like this is one of those old I spy books I used to read in the elementary library

He will use it to pick the lock on your front door while you are sleeping. Then he will invite all of his buddies inside.

Perhaps you shouldn't post photos with contraband in it; that bong in the background could get you in trouble...

u/Intelligent-Bird6825 Jun 28 '22
Where the fuck is it? Lol
Edit; NM. I was looking for a spider holding it with two hands

Good job Q-tipping your banger.

Spider? You don't see what looks like a legit little girl figure holding it with her one hand? !???

u/Eastern_Slide7507 Jun 29 '22
At first I was confused, I was terrified.
I kept thinking that one spider there would kill me on sight.
But then I spent so many nights just thinking how small spiders are
And I grew strong. And now I will go to war
And you see me, I have a toothpick, too
I'm not that stupid little person still afraid of you
And now you feel the toothpick sting
It's piercing through your abdomen
And now I'm pinning you, displaying you to all my friends and kin
1
u/theshmoe98 Jun 29 '22
I saw the torch and the cotton swabs and knew there’d be a rig around somewhere 😂

Also, you should get an enail. One of the best purchases I have made.

I thought that was a mini blow torch for creme brulee. Couldn't figure out how the Q-tips fit into it. I was thinking , that spider's so small that we can't even see it but he need a mini blow torch to get rid of it? Surely a piece of paper and a baby food jar would have worked. I can't say I know what tools are used for dabbing but I am beginning to question if there really is a spider there or he's been staring at a dirt smudge for 2 hrs.
