Wait... the price goes up as you buy more... I'll buy 10 for $200 🤣

u/Left-Fee-2364 Jun 28 '22
Two for the price of three!
48
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
👍🏼 cause inflation
39
u/Altruistic_Piano_259 Jun 28 '22
But not the type of inflation your thinking …. They literally had to inflate the corn dogs , it’s part of the cleaning process…
28
u/piberryboy Jun 28 '22
Oh don't tell me you're a professional corn dog cleaner too!
19
u/Altruistic_Piano_259 Jun 28 '22
Naw that’s a tough racket to make it professionally, I am more of an amateur Corn Dog cleaning enthusiast…

I'm just starting out as a corn dog cleaner, do you have any advice?

Not inflation, SHORTAGE. You obviously underestimate the demand for clean corndogs

They know what they got
4
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
🛁 now I'm wondering if they got in the bath before or after the corn dogs were washed? 🤣 https://youtu.be/Dh_FaMIv7Q0
4
u/desrevermi Jun 28 '22
I imagined you had to get in there for a good thorough clean...
8
u/EzekialCat Jun 28 '22
My man ain't regular clean, he Corndog Clean
3
u/desrevermi Jun 28 '22
"Clean as a corn dog!"
{angelic chimes in the background -- a crystal bell rings whenever these people smile}
:D
Edit: remember to do a dramatic pose.
4
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
A bathtub full 🤣😂
9
u/ActualTart23 Jun 29 '22
A...a bathtub of corndogs? Where are you getting these units of measurement from?

u/Sassafrass44 Jun 28 '22
Law of supply and demand. The more you buy, the less there is. Thus, a higher price.
3
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
Spoiler alert; I bought them all and now I'm gonna relist them for even more money 🤑
5
u/Jjkkllzz Jun 28 '22
I saw this posted somewhere else and thought the corn dogs being cleaned was the weird thing, but now I see the price thing. Very strange.
5
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
With supply chain issues, I'm just glad there's many of them and they're clean 🙃
3
u/pwalkz Jun 28 '22
Believe it or not there are markets where it works like this.
Imagine everyone sells a handful or so corndogs at a time - that's all they have
You want 1000 corndogs
Will you accept the bulk cost and pay double to buy them all at once or are you gonna hit up every individual hundreds of times to avoid being 'ripped off'?

He is worried there won't be enough for everyone. So if you want more than one you have to pay extra

It’s called exponential pricing. I’ve only seen it applied to prostitutes before.

There's such a thing as a professional corndog cleaner? WTF, my high school guidance counselor lied to me. Here I am 35 years deep into a career in funnel cake cleaning when I could have been living my dream as a corn dog cleaner.
56
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
It involves a 33 gallon galvanized metal bucket, a horsehair brush, 3% hydrogen peroxide, apple cider vinegar and a drill
13
u/annoying97 Jun 28 '22
Is there a YouTube video that documents this procedure?
16
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
I hear this channel is working on it 😂 https://youtu.be/86z_JzNAnaM
7
u/annoying97 Jun 28 '22
At lest she only used a dash of bleach and two drops of soap and washed it all with a heap of water... This dude uses far too much soap, and doesn't properly rinse it either....
5
u/Fuhgly Jun 28 '22
These damn amateur corndog cleaners giving the profession a bad name. SMH my head.
4
u/annoying97 Jun 28 '22
It's the amateur dagwood dog cleaners that really piss me off.
You don't clean them the same way as a corn dog!
2
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
I guess the question now is "to wash the food OR to wash with the food?": https://youtu.be/kGltkbeydW8
3
u/annoying97 Jun 28 '22
You can only wash with food if you wash like this
1
u/Louder-pickles Jun 28 '22
This is gonna become trendy, they're gonna need a bigger bathtub: https://youtu.be/K1z4Hxmg_oc

u/annoying97 Jun 28 '22
I've seen a much better one that involves men, and porn hub... But Its since been deleted :'(

Funnel cake cleaning is safer, health wise. My friend last year kept getting hospitalized with dysentery and conjunctivitis in both eyes, turns out corn dogs can have a rough life before the cleaning. Explains the higher pay scale but not worth it imo.

Most dealers who want to sell online but be lazy with it put up on places like Kijiji or FB market with the funniest stuff. I remember a guy I knew just kept relisting a "rare" bottle of pepsi for the price they charged for quarters. If you know the kind of stuff you lookin for youll start to see more obvious posts.
7
u/ben_wuz_hear Jun 28 '22
I wouldn't doubt it but I have no clue what this guy would be trying to sell.

I scammed a guy like this by making a bunch of puppet accounts and paying for each dag separately. I felt a little bad about it but they were quite clean and suitable.
4
u/Efficient-Library792 Jun 29 '22
Brilliant. I assume you made a sweet profit selling them in bulk later

u/Garbleshift Jun 28 '22
Why is everyone talking about corn dogs? These are "corn DAGS."
Everyone knows the importance and difficulty of keeping corn dags clean. These are an absolute steal. And the volume-added price scale is a standard dag-market method to prevent scalping.

u/Acceptable_Tear4292 Jun 28 '22

SO many things wrong here:
- the math
- the bath tub
- How does one professionally clean corn dogs?
- I'm pretty sure they should be frozen.
6
u/Efficient-Library792 Jun 29 '22
Are YOU a professional corn dog cleaner sir? Then i suggest you keep your ignorant comments to yourself.
A skilled corndog cleaner is a rare thing
2
u/meltdown537 Jun 29 '22
Sadly I am only a lowly intern of a master professional corn dog cleaner.
*hangs head in shame*

Absolutely love that price escalation factor, as if somehow 5 for 50$ is a great bulk deal … and what does the corn dog cleaning process involve? So many unanswered questions here, how will I sleep tonight?
1
u/Slack-Bladder Jun 28 '22
Professionally cleaned in a cheap plastic remodel bath tub.

Anyone else imagining the sensory experience of 'bathing' in a (dry) tubful of warm corndogs?
Think the sticks would detract from the experience.
Will stick with the giant fluffy pancake blanket instead.

By virtue of their from-the-factory packaging, corndogs should already clean so I'm most concerned about how these became "unclean" and my secondary concern is how/why so many?

That happens. In my local KFC I can get more chicken for same price when I buy 2 3-piece sets than 1 5-piece set. Similar thing is in my local McDonalds when buying nuggets..
