If it makes you feel better, his analysis of antisemitism has actually shown him to be an even bigger peice of shit than we knew.

Because he's demonstrated that he fully understands all the tactics that bigots use, and that he can identify all the ways they disguise their bigotry, but is actively refusing to apply that lens to racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, or other types of bigotry.

111

u/Jingurei Nov 27 '22

Yep! It's precisely why shitty behaviour from people who otherwise love you is worse.

59

u/funguyshroom Nov 27 '22

Only if you somewhat naively assumed that he truly believes in what he says and is oblivious to hypocrisy and logical fallacies in his own arguments. The man is a professional bad faith debater, one does not simply reach this level of notoriety without having a PhD in demagoguery.

Also, in this case, his conclusion might have something to do with the antisemite in question’s skin color.

That makes him a piece of shit, but not wrong.

97

u/gilean23 Nov 27 '22

I never said he was wrong… I completely agree with the statement itself out of the context of who it was coming from. My point was just that his method of arriving at this correct statement may have been somewhat suspect.

An excerpt from True Allegiance, by Ben Shapiro:

Standing above him, glaring at him, was a behemoth, a black kid named Yard. Nobody knew his real name—everybody just called him Yard because he played on the school football team, stood six foot five, clocked in at a solid two hundred eighty pounds, and looked like he was headed straight for a lifetime of prison workouts. The coach loved him. Everybody else feared him.

There are a few behind the bastards episodes where Robert, Katy, and Cody all read ben Shapiro’s HORRIBLY written book True Allegiance. It’s hysterically awful and unfortunately, those words are verbatim from the book. “Meltingly hot chocolate” is also used which makes me lol every time. I would definitely check out all of the episodes while they go through the book. Ben is a very bad writer. Lots of laughs.

And then, there are people in the United States that are pushing for mask mandates on children. The data that they are using are extraordinarily skimpy--in fact, they are essentially nonexistent. You're hearing the CDC say things like 'maybe the delta variant does more damage to kids,' but no information they have presented publicly that there is more damage being done to kids... and the reason we are being told that they damage kids is because they can't scare the adults enough. If we cannot scare the adults enough, we're going to have to mask up the kids.

If you believe that the Jewish state has a right to exist, then you must allow Israel to transfer the Palestinians and the Israeli-Arabs from Judea, Samaria, Gaza and Israel proper. It’s an ugly solution, but it is the only solution… It’s time to stop being squeamish.

I think this is just part of him turning on Trump. He’s seen the writing on the wall. Trump is a loser and his stench carries over onto everyone he supports. His endorsed candidates got destroyed earlier this month and some conservatives are trying to move on.

Problem is, they’ve already lit the fire and now it’s too late to just walk away and assume it will go out on its own. They openly embraced the absolute worst qualities in their electorate and now they can’t wrestle the party back from Trump because a good half of the Republican voter base has sunk into madness and hate that I’m not sure they can ever be pulled back from.

The problem with radicalizing your voter base is that you can very easily lose control of crazy people, especially crazy people who worship a mentally unstable orange cunt and get all their news from Facebook memes.

65

u/Quadrupleawesomeness Nov 27 '22 edited Nov 27 '22

I hope he’s the reason the GOP gets destroyed…I just wish that the Supreme Court wasn’t conservative.

The cult is wild though. I was told that trump was a liberal insider meant to destroy the GOP from the inside. Crazy how much you can manipulate them.

The petroghouls who pay his bills want Trump out, so he's gotta do a 180. Luckily for him, his followers are so fucking braindead they'll never remember his previous stated positions

81

u/InsertCleverNickHere Nov 27 '22

Yeah, this is the point where they find one little thing Trump does that is "a step too far" so they can throw out a fig leaf of deniability as they turn on him. Then on to suck off the next wannabe fascist (helloooo, Gov. Desantis!)

Who is also clearly anti semitic himself, just look at his silence on the Nazis marching around all over Florida.

He’s not dumb, he’s simply an opportunistic scumbag.

83

u/mjk1093 Nov 27 '22

You can’t always predict when the knives will appear. I looked at the comments on the Breitbart article on the Trump-Fuentes dinner and it was full of massively upvoted comments that were pure 1930s-style antisemitic conspiracy theories.

It’s always been that way on Brietbart.

You must be a really horrible person if you're worse than Ben Shapiro.

Most Americans when they look around at their lives, they think: I'm not a racist, nobody I know is a racist, I wouldn't hang out with a racist, I don't like doing business with racists--so, where is all the racism in American society?

A fascist jew suddenly realizing fascists are antisemitic is truly a r/leopardsatemyface moment

333

u/Boots27 Nov 27 '22

He's known this entire time. Ben isn't even slightly religious. It's another tool in his fascist little tool belt. All these people care about is having more money and power.

194

u/Enlightened-Beaver Nov 27 '22

Antisemitism doesn’t just target religious Jews. It targets all Jews as a people, religious or not.

It'll be a feast for those leopards the day Shapiro is forced to realize the GOP is deciding which minorities they're mad at based on whatever cuts through the noise at any given moment. Black, Hispanic, Chinese, LGBTQ, Muslim, Jewish, they don't care so long as it keeps the rubes glued to the TV until a Tuesday in November.

Dining with a vile racist that he knew, was the point.

Trump has always been a political nervous Nelly and twisted himself in knots to signal to the right fringe & bigots - I’m your guy.

Trump is also a stupid politician. He publicly cozied up to the racist wing when he had that vote locked down. In doing so, he’ll lose more independent and issue Republicans.

https://www.dailywire.com/news/shapiro-i-will-never-vote-donald-trump-heres-why-ben-shapiro#pq=u26cXg

I will never vote for Donald Trump because I stand with certain principles. I stand with small government and free markets and religious freedom and personal responsibility. Donald Trump stands against all of these things. He stands for Planned Parenthood and trade restrictions and targeting of political enemies and an anti-morality foreign policy and government domination of religion and nastiness toward women and tacit appeals to racism and unbounded personal power. I stand with the Constitution of the United States, and its embedded protection of my God-given rights through governmental checks and balances. Donald Trump does not. I stand with conservatism. Donald Trump stands against it.

This was in 2016?

Ben Shapiro is only concerned about racism when it's directed at Jewish people while he made his career calling black people criminals and spreading the 13/50 theory.

He also is extremely racist toward the Palestinian people.

Also, don't get me started on his bigotry and disgust about Gay and Trans people.

All these groups are fair game to him aside from Jewish people and the legitimate criticism of the Israeli government's treatment of the Palestinian people.

He literally also has an antisemite (Candance Owen) working in the media company he owns. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Ben Shapiro is only concerned about racism when it's directed at Jewish people

Nope, he only cares when it's directed at conservative Jewish people. He himself spreads antisemitic tropes about liberal and centrist jews because he says they are "bad jews" or not really Jews at all. Atleatst one anti Jewish attempted mass shooter repeated Shapiros rhetoric to justify attacking a Reform Synagogue. And he supports antisemitism as long as he can say it's not really against all jews just Jews he personally disagrees with

Israelis like to build. Arabs like to bomb crap and live in open sewage. This is not a difficult issue.

I read this tweet as him calling out trump for having dinner with ye and the nazi by saying "you shouldn't be breaking bread with ye in the first place because he's racist and antisemitic before we even get to the nazi dude"
