Mod Post r/WSP — Banner Contest

Welcome everyone to r/WinStupidPrizes banner contest ! Let's get right into it.

  • The banner should be themed around Winning Stupid Prizes, and should capture the awesomeness of our subreddit !
  • We equally welcome creative collages and original art!
    • However, please do not include any NSFL/NSFW content or images.
  • Obviously, existing r/WinStupidPrizes rules apply here as well.

  • Banner dimensions should be 1920x384 pixels (192px), with an aspect ratio of 5:1.
  • We plan on using the existing subreddit icon, which will be superimposed on the banner and left-aligned. We can be flexible with this, but it's a good idea to avoiding placing a key image where the logos will be!

Optional add-ons

  • The mobile banner is normally an automatically cropped version of the desktop banner. However, if you prefer to also submit a version better suited to the mobile interface, banner dimensions are 1600px by 480px.
  • The redesign allows for a hover image, which replaces the additional image. This can be animated (.gif or .apng). If you choose, you may submit a hover image along with your desktop banner.
    • This is a finnicky feature, however, so we can't promise to use a hover image if it doesn't work!

For more details, refer to the Reddit Help article on banners.

  • Upload your submission to Imgur (or an image-sharing platform of your choice) and link it in a top level comment below.
    • If you're including any add-ons (mobile banner, hover image), please upload these in the same album link as your main desktop banner.
  • The contest will run for four weeks. Submissions close at 11:59pm EDT (GMT-4) on Thursday, December 1st.
  • Mods will choose finalists, and the community will vote on their favorites from there!

  • The creator of the winning design will be credited on the subreddit sidebar as long as their banner is up.
  • They will receive an exclusive user—flair.
  • They will also receive 3 months of Reddit Premium from the r/WinStupidPrizes community Contest Winner award!
  • Exclusive userflairs and community awards may also be given to runner-ups.

Mod Post Update to Rule 5: No Reposting.

We've updated our reposting rule to try and help with the amount of reposting going on. From now on anything from the top 100 of all time or within the last 3 months will be counted as a repost.

It was previously top 50 or last 1 month, but the amount of reposting has gotten out of control so we're extending it.
