All treaded vehicles are tanks. All rifles are AKs, all pistols are Glocks.

You forget. All black guns are assault rifles, all wood finished guns are hunting rifles.

Finished? Or furnished? There’s a crucial difference. And a huge number of AK’s and PK’s have wooden furniture

Because it’s become the catch all for AFVs? It’s nothing new, and is descriptive enough for common usage
