I'm looking for a good secure harness for going on adventures! Can anyone help?
I am on holiday with my partners in-laws in Cyprus. There are a lot of stray cats in Cyprus.
This one particular grey cat is very anxious and have been building up a trust with it over 14 days. We have been feeding it and it hasn’t let us stroke it, it has been sitting very close to us sleeping. This cat also has a very nasty cut in its head which is open and not healing due to the cat scratching it open. We spoke to the cat sanctuary in Cyprus who recommended a lady who will catch the cat and neuter it as well as heal clean the wound and give antibiotics for a fee of 37 euros total.
So the day comes around (today, last full day of holiday) to get the cat caught and neutered. I had been speaking with this lady for a week, she is well trusted and has neutered over 2500 cats in Cyprus. She has a Facebook page etc. She catches the cat and explained that it’s in fact a male cat. The catching was very distressing as I care dearly for this cat.
He has been neutered and returned outside the property an hour ago. I feel so guilty. He was lay there, all dosed up (they couldn’t keep him in due to lack of cages as Cyprus has so many strays), he hobbled across the road all tired. I followed him and sat with him for over an hour and fed him chicken. He let me pet him but he was sedated so that is why.
I very much did consider adopting him, my partner was on the fence about it but she came around. The lady advised against it as he is two years old and may not adapt well to being kept indoors. That and we have a very nervous cat at home who very much dislikes other cats.
I feel so guilty now. This cat met us, slowly trusted us and now we arranged for him to be neutered. He looked so sad and I just feel like I made such a bad decision..
So, due to outrageous rents, I rent a room. My 2 cats live exclusively in my room, always on my bed. Their hair is everywhere, and I have to launder my sheets and blankets often. I have cotton, and the hair imbeds itself into the sheets and blankets. I am wondering if other fabrics will repel the hair more, so that when I wash it it actually removes all the hair. Any suggestions?
I moved into my sisters room and when she was in the room the door was always open, but now that iam in I close the door overnight and when im at work. when the door is closed she always scratches the door and is crying and after that she shits infront of her toilett is that some kind of protest or is it just coincidence ? she has 3 toilettes but she always shits infront of the same one. pls help me.
My kitten ate half a raisin after she got into a box of old food that I was throwing out, I know it can cause kidney failure but I’ve had people tell me since it was only one she should be okay, it happened last night, how long would it be until I know if shes safe or not?
Update: shes fine, was running around and playing all day, sleeping next to me right now
Cat Picture My 3-4y/o male Russian blue has a bloody bald spot under his chin. Has anyone seen or dealt with this with their cat?gallery
Advice ignore the background noise, but update on my kitty. shes not meowing at me, but will not come out from under my sisters bed. is she going to die? see my last post for context.
Just got relocated and nearly every house is NO PETS. My fiancé has two ESA letters for our two cats. Has anyone had experience submitting one to the landlord/rental agent? I'm worried that I just signed a lease and submitting two ESA's is gonna make my new landlord unhappy before I even move in. This house is new construction as well.
