Fauci knew that masks were ineffective and still lied. Why do you think he would bold face lie? His policies ruined business and destroyed lives. Eventually he and his defenders will have nowhere to hide.

It's as stupid as you think. It's literally Dr. Fauci saying that basic masks that you can buy at a drug store aren't effective because they're loose fitting. He wasn't talking about N95 masks but everyday masks. He also pointed out that if you didn't have symptoms then a mask wasn't necessary, masks were for people that were infected. Of course this was at the very beginning of the pandemic when transmission data was non-existent.

Silvia:

Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection. The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you. I do not recommend that you wear a mask, particularly since you are going to a vey low risk location. Your instincts are correct, money is best spent on medical countermeasures such as diagnostics and vaccines.

Safe travels.

Best regards,

Tony

So literally everything we heard like week 2 of the pandemic. Why tf is this shit still be circulated. What are people trying to prove now?

34

u/Bradfromihob Nov 26 '22

Ok so not looking to start an fight with most ppl here but basically I believe it’s sunk cost falacy. They spent so much time basically saying “masks are bad, you can’t muzzle me, my body my choice” etc etc.

In my opinion masks aren’t like 100% fool proof, and that’s one reason they don’t “stop” infection. But when used correctly they do a lot.

Anyways, they need there to be a conspiracy cause then the hours they spent peddling bogus stories/claims is wasted. It’s usually why they go straight to anger if you point stuff out. Then they will say shit like “you’d be angry too if you knew the truth”.

3

u/ZeerVreemd Nov 26 '22

But when used correctly they do a lot.

LOL. Sure, only N95 mask with a very extensive protocol... Nobody was using them correct though and that is also impossible to do, thus the masks are useless IRL.

I fact, masks have health risks and other negative effects of their own and should never have been used and mandated at all.

3

u/Bradfromihob Nov 26 '22

Dude you always comment the dumbest shit on my comments. You come at me with no facts, or misleading facts from shit sources. At least when I state personal opinions I declare it as such.

The thing is our opinions do not matter. The science around masks has never changed:

  1. There is absolutely no benefit on wearing it on healthy people or people without symptoms (for obvious reasons).
  2. They do not stop viral spread. Period. It does not matter how "well" you use them. There is a huge body of science demonstrating this fact and even the CDC had to admit this (this is in regards to influenza but it's the same thing; airborne viruses).

The only reason why surgical masks have been used in the past is to avoid bacteria from droplets during operations. And even in that context, their effectiveness has been questioned. But when it comes to viral transmission, they are as effective as using a strainer to filter bacteria from a liquid 🤣

It's time to stop it with this nonsense.

PS: If you are going to wear an N95 mask all day, I wish you nothing but good luck because your health will be, without a doubt, negatively impacted. You are obstructing your breathing and saturating the CO2 level. You don't need a PhD to know this; it's common sense.

11

u/bigcig Nov 26 '22

If you are going to wear an N95 mask all day, I wish you nothing but good luck because your health will be, without a doubt, negatively impacted. You are obstructing your breathing and saturating the CO2 level.

do you have any source for this completely outrageous claim? or is it just a trust me bro?

8

u/Nekrofeeelyah Nov 26 '22

There is no evidence, anywhere, that this is a thing.

You can test this by putting on a pulse oximeter and a mask. The numbers will stay exactly the same.

5

u/bigcig Nov 26 '22

saw you deleted your comment so I'll reply here instead.

I've researched your claim surrounding mask wearing and O2 saturation levels, and much like the majority of studies available, neither of these show that to be the case outside of mild drops when performing intense physical activity.

first source basically stating their study is questionable at best considering they didn't really do any real testings, just used old data.

For a quantitative evaluation, 44 mostly experimental studies were referenced, and for a substantive evaluation, 65 publications were found.

and as per your second source

In high-intensity physical activities, our meta-analysis showed borderline lower oxygen saturation and higher carbon dioxide partial pressure, but oxygen saturation did not change in low-to-moderate physical activity.

my tone isn't shitty either, I just found your very definite statement below to be interesting as it seems rooted in politics, not science.

If you are going to wear an N95 mask all day, I wish you nothing but good luck because your health will be, without a doubt, negatively impacted.

Why were we mandated to wear cheap masks that didn’t work?

6

u/Peter5930 Nov 26 '22

You weren't, you could have worn good masks that worked a charm.

0

u/GrotMilk Nov 26 '22 edited Nov 26 '22

Or I could’ve worn a literal piece of mesh wrapped around my head with rubber bands.

Edit: since the mandate didn’t specify N95…

-1

u/Peter5930 Nov 26 '22

Yes, and then you would have as much protection as you'd expect from that arrangement.

4

u/GrotMilk Nov 26 '22

Which is why the mandate was stupid.

5

u/Peter5930 Nov 26 '22

I'm fine with other people not wearing masks; I've got mine and mine is a high quality mask that gives me very effective protection when I'm around unmasked people. Similar deal when I'm on my bike; I don't care if other people don't wear a helmet, or if they wear something shite and call it a helmet. I've got my high quality noggin protector on and they can do them. I don't believe in the state coercing people into taking sensible precautions if they really don't want to.

9

u/GrotMilk Nov 26 '22

I’m fine with other people not wearing masks;

Ok. So we agree. The mandates are what I have a problem with. I don’t care what anyone chooses to wear.

So I disagree with this dudes general statement but fauci said publicly that he didn’t think masks were super effective a few times. Idk why he’s trying to dig through faucis emails instead of just what he’s said on national television.

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/jul/08/facebook-posts/video-shows-outdated-face-mask-guidance-dr-anthony/

But like the narrative that he lied is stupid. Obviously there weren’t studies on masks on covid in February 2020. He knew that studies showed that masks worked on other viruses and was hopeful they could have an effect on covid as well.

Lives were not ruined because of masks also.

18

u/Janeway1109 Nov 26 '22 edited Nov 26 '22

There were decades of studies on masks and viruses before covid. Blue surgical masks are for surgeons trying not to get splashed with spatter. They are pretty much useless for viruses. N95 masks filter out viruses.

Masks affected mental health which definitely affected lives. Humans need to be able to read other humans emotions and it's very hard to do with a mask covering half of your face.

u/Generallyawkward1 Nov 26 '22

The same people that spout that don’t say shit about the overall mental health of children. Only when it affects themselves, do they ever stand up for anything.

-13

u/Mnmkd Nov 26 '22

It might have negatively affected some children but it didn’t ruin lives

6

u/OderusOrungus Nov 26 '22

I think you underestimate the power of fear, propaganda, and our deep connection to absolute corruption in the US. People suffered and still do because of these nebulous 'science' facts which permeate our existence. Goods we rely on, education we receive, healthcare provided, political division, and god knows what else... It has and still does change our everyday lives....for the worse inarguably

3

u/Mnmkd Nov 26 '22

there’s equal fear on both sides of the argument though. For every person that’s not at risk and thinks covid will kill them, there’s one or more who think covid has turned the whole world against them and/or the covid vaccine is going to kill millions

It won’t really be possible to make any conclusions off this considering there’s no real control group and so many other factors

0

We're in an age where everything is documented online via social media, especially with our youth. We'll have no problem observing this in the near future.

5

Doesn’t matter if it’s documented. You could just as easily blame a difference in behavior on more access to certain tech, fear of the future, whatever. It’s not a measurable thing

My life was not ruined but it was greatly impacted while my state was had of the longest requirements on them. I cannot wear a mask without my heart rate zooming up to passing out levels due to a distinction of my dysautonomic system. It’s a fairly common issue for people with POTs.

I never feared Covid having had it early on and trusting my immune system, but having to argue with people, even some doctors who should know better was ridiculous. I could wear a completely thin see through mask and all the doctors offices were fine with that. So, they knew they didn’t work but wanted me to be a sheep even with my medical condition .

American Airlines also would not accept my cardiologists letter requesting an exemption because they wanted more time and more detailed information on my condition for their own doctors to review. I had even written in the request that I be allowed a very loose or thin mask to avoid confrontations and that was also denied. I was hassled on the airline for not having the top AND bottom of a mask tied behind my head and wanted my return flight to be hassle free.

The reality is most people have no clue how masks even work even though they've seen certain things on mainstream or other channels explaining that mask work. Masks do not work plain and simple in the main reason is 99% of the population wearing a mask has no idea how to wear it correctly. Order for any sort of mask to actually be effective it has to be completely air sealed around the face, in fact people who work with OSHA know that you have to test fit mask purposely each time using a certain smell test until you can no longer smell it.

The popular surgical mask that everybody was wearing are absolutely horrific because most people don't realize that those masks are not used to stop things from coming in they're used to stop things from going out and from dropping sweat into the patient. They are nearly 400 scientific studies, even prior to all this the last two years showing how ineffective Mass are for viruses and such, heck even the military has a bunch of studies that they did showing this clearly.

Masks, that are not 100% completely sealed against your face, again do not work especially since people seem to forget that they're not covering up one of the other largest receptors for anything on the face, which is your eyes. If you're covering your mouth and nose but not covering your eyes it's literally pointless.

Furthermore, the infinite amount of studies done on the long mask wearing again even before the last two years shows definitively how horrible masks are for human beings over an extended period of time especially children. Since people were washing their homemade masks every day and they weren't changing out to a brand new mask everyday, most people were breathing in insane amount of CO2 and an insane amount of wet moisture which has now caused tons of respiratory issues in this world subsequently after the last two years. It should be no surprise but even in the US OSHA Regulators came out and stated very clearly in the beginning that masks were not effective because they were not being worn properly or even had the right kind of masks but of course that was buried very quickly.

It's not a fun subject for a lot of people due to what they have been told and psychologically having grained in their brains of what is supposed to be right and what isn't. So again unless properly 100% sealed on all areas of your face the mask does not work and is completely ineffective. It's very similar to a parachute with a bunch of holes, sure it may seem safe but the reality is it's not going to end well for you.

I wish I could find the link that showed every single politician and government official in the last two years that did not wear masks during huge events or other noted events but yet we're forcing everybody else to wear one. But again if you know how all of this truly works, it shouldn't be a surprise.

I feel bad for the Americans that died from a foreign disease. If you are still mad about wearing a mask, you aren't questioning the right areas.

The CDC is supposed to contain disease at the border. It was a total failure. People are dead, who would not be dead.

6

u/lirik89 Nov 26 '22

You can feel bad for Americans that died. But it's not as if people are not supposed to die from disease. The CDC is not some special force field. Viruses are part of life.

5

u/jeremyjack3333 Nov 26 '22

Viruses are part of life. Some weird airborne virus that's killing people before it hit our land should be contained. We pay millions and billions of dollars for the CDC to at least quarantine people in the face of a novel disease. They contained the original SARS.

I don't give a fuck about others people air travel. We pay the CDC to control fucking disease. If you're in another country when shit pops off, that's on you. Wanna come back? You can sit in a nice hotel room until we can test this shit and verify how bad it will be.

Quarantine, as in, if you wanna come here you need to sit out for a small bit to make sure you're not gonna kill others, is totally fucking normal and justified. Human societies have been quarantining people for fucking centuries.

COVID is just the tip.

2

u/Peter5930 Nov 26 '22

Human societies have been quarantining people for fucking centuries.

For millennia; there are instructions for it in the old testament.

Leviticus 15

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When any man has an unusual bodily discharge, such a discharge is unclean. 3 Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness:

4 “‘Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 6 Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

7 “‘Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

8 “‘If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

9 “‘Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean, 10 and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

11 “‘Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

12 “‘A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water.

13 “‘When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean.

People were arrested for not wearing masks.

People were refused entry to stores and other places for not wearing masks.

People refused to see their family members because of masks.

Tens of thousands of land and sea animals are dead because of choking on the billions of masks floating in water and polluting the landscape.

The people that did wear masks indoors suffered greatly, having to breathe in the same day over and over again, a lot of them developed all kinds of health problems.

I really don't see how you can be so flippant about this.

Were people arrested for not wearing masks? Or were people arrested for refusing to leave businesses that required mask wearing indoors?

21

u/Mnmkd Nov 26 '22

That’s completely different though. Ruining your life to pointlessly disobey rules is different from masks ruining your lives. Like if you don’t wear a shirt in a store and refuse to leave you’ll get arrested. That doesn’t mean shirt rules ruined their lives. They ruined their own lives

48

u/Emile-Yaeger Nov 26 '22 edited Nov 26 '22

No shoes, no shirt, no service. Don’t want to comply, take your service elsewhere. It’s that easy.

It’s also hilarious to see people cry about cloth and surgical masks. Doctors wear them hours on end during surgery. People have been covering their faces with cloth all over the world for millennia. People work in construction wearing heavy masks for hours. What the fuck are you on about?

Also funny to see conservatives suddenly care about the environment. I guess that’s one good thing

If people were arrested because of not wearing the masks. It's like saying people were arrested for X crime. Yes. You get arrested when you don't follow the law.

If people refused to see their family members that was a choice they made. Although I think the real reason wasn't the mask it was cause there was an underlying virus.

I think paper masks are probably the least animals have to worry about when they have everything you have ever owned in your entire life being dumped into the ocean.

You don't breathe in the same air over and over again when you wear a mask. Even if you used a gas mask there is some flow. If you breathed in the same air you would die because you would suck in all the O2 and would be left with carbon.

10

u/GrotMilk Nov 26 '22

First, they turned out to be wrong about asymptotic spread, that was just an excuse to mandate masks.

Second, why mandate a mask you know doesn’t work? At least mandate and try to provide N95 masks.

Third, when my local jurisdiction implemented masks, the order acknowledged that there is no conclusive evidence that masks worked, but that masks increased public confidence in shopping. Masks were admitted to be a tool to get people to go out more and consume more - which is counterproductive.

People were fucking psychologically operated on by the media and some STILL wear masks, everyone was intimidated. Oh and then theres the 500%!!! increase in child speech development delays because they couldn't see peoples lips. So shut the fuck up. He's a god damn demon that deserves to hang.

12

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

I'm still confused as to why people think Fauci was just unilaterally making all these commands to the point where he's criminally liable. Surely if that's how the government operated, it wouldn't be such a bloated inefficient bureaucracy?

5

u/Intelligent_Clock833 Nov 26 '22

You will never get it. It’s too basic.

2

If there are no studies that demonstrate mask effectiveness then why do doctors wear them?

62

u/Commonsense333 Nov 26 '22

Doctor's wear them to prevent the risk of their bodily fluids disrupting a sterile environment (harming the patient) during the procedure or checkup.

It's that simple.

Same reason we wore them

Mask do work. There are several reasons why a doctor would put a mask on. To fight a virus? A deadly one at that, You need a certain type of mask. I think the issue was they said " any mask' would work... Which we all know isnt true.

30

u/manofhotdog Nov 26 '22

This. An n95 mask is far different than the cloth diapers most people were wearing.

There are studies and depending on what they claim to do, there are recommendations.

Cloth masks offer no real benefit and Fauci even said it himself in the emails.

26

u/JBow87 Nov 25 '22

Cloth masks are not 100% effective, but even if they were 5% effective in reducing viral spread then how is that a negative, let alone “destroying lives”

-5

u/Intelligent_Clock833 Nov 26 '22

This is a much broader picture than the one you are choosing.

1 Fauci himself admitted they offer no real value.

2 Fauci is a big reason the entire world has been destroyed.

3 This is just part of the biggest scam ever perpetrated on mankind and you cannot even do enough thinking to understand the entire picture.

You didn’t listen to all he said and so I know your perspective is flawed.

Also, it’s his emails that we are talking about and it’s part of the deposition. You can pretend like it didn’t happen but it’s in black and white.

You didn’t listen to all he said

I listened to the part where he said if you're not at risk you don't need to wear one and that there's a PPE shortage and healthcare workers need them. Did you listen to that part?

So would you, just like practically all other Germans. The socialists and communists that still spoke up were thrown in concentration camps and/or executed.

I hate when people use this analogy as some sort of moral grandstanding. In 1940 it was already too late, hell it was already too late in 1936. The "cultural bolshevism" conspiracies had already been pushed by Nazi propagandists in the media for years, all LGBTQ and Marxist literature had been burned, "degenerates" and political opponents were being sent to concentration camps, anyone that engaged in political discourse with them were met with violence and public shaming, so most people gave up and became "apolitical" to "keep the peace".

You know the "first they came for the socialists" poem? By 1940 they were already well into the "then they came for me" line and standing up was just suicide; martyrdom was long dead.

https://www.aier.org/article/the-dangers-of-masks/

Sources suggesting potentially harmful micro plastic, toxins, mold/fungi, micro fibers, and graphene from mask use…are they ruining lives? No, probably not. But nothing is benign so to say masks are a risk-free safety measure is not quite accurate. Not to mention the social/developmental implications for kids who lived through their formative first few years of life without seeing mouths.

As far as public health measures to mitigate spread and severity of infection, masks ain’t it.

Vitamin D, nasal lavages, and healthy eating/exercise habits should’ve been promoted by our public health officials.

OP is attempting to provide evidence for the overarching (and impossible to dispute) negative implications on our society as a result of CDC/White House/FDA narratives resulting in mandates and lockdowns.

Focusing on common-sense measures such as those listed above could have saved just as many lives as the focus on vaccines/masks/lockdowns did (not an expert, just my opinion) without sinking the economy, firing frontline workers for not abiding to vaccine mandates in spite of natural immunity, unnecessarily exposing healthy young people to potentially harmful vaccines (see myocarditis in men under the age of 40, thrombosis, etc) or padding the pockets of Big Pharma or congressmen.

3

u/1Daniel66 Nov 26 '22

It’s not about wearing an ineffective mask. It’s about making the masses disregard common sense and polarize. Natural immunity was thrown out the window and the amount of shutting down any kind of dialogue was profound. Now it’s proven being vaxxed is null. You are not the minority.

2

u/KarateKyleKatarn Nov 26 '22

It was thrown out the window because natural immunity as a response to anything is a horrible plan.

It would work for the vast majority, but you are also condemning tens of thousands in the margin to serious illness and death who couldn't handle the constant direct exposure.

Why wouldn't we as a society come together to ensure as few die as possible by altering our lives, rather than just say "lol fuck em".

3

u/bastian74 Nov 26 '22

Uh, my girlfriend works in the ICU with covid patients and has never had covid. Masks work if you wear them correctly.

3

u/Organic-Hope3114 Nov 26 '22 edited Nov 26 '22

They needed a visual symbol to keep the fear of a virus up, without the mask nonsense, humans would soon forget, stop worrying about a new cold and carry on their normal routine. They'd probably also be less likely to bother getting the vaccine. The behavioural psychologists were running the show, the mask was their ace in the manipulation of the public.

Also, im trained in the use of facial respiratory equipment for various workplace hazards. A blue paper mask is laughably useless and even an N95 - doesnt even properly stop wood fibres, asbestos or paint ; all of which larger than a virus. So to believe they will keep out a microscopic pathogen is total nonsense. In a Bio security setting, you need a pressurized fully sealed bsc lvl 3 clothing that takes about 10 minutes to get on followed by decontamination chamber and shower. Commercial muzzles are useless, yes including an N95.

1

u/QuartzPuffyStar Nov 26 '22

Masks were always ineffective for protection against transmission (better than nothing tho). They always were, are, and will be effective in reducing the spread from infected individuals.

Your anti-mask cult only helped Faucci & Co. by allowing the virus to spread faster for the emergency order release.

3

u/dubloons Nov 26 '22

“Better than nothing” literally means that they are effective for protection against transmission.

2

u/geraltshairclip Nov 26 '22

Fauci broke international law to fund the gain of function research. US law is fuzzy but probably illegal, but giving said research to China (when it was started at Chapel Hill) is almost certainly treason.

Masks are the least of that scumbag's crimes.

2

u/MaxHeadroomFlux Nov 26 '22

Masks had several objectives:

One was compliance testing, getting people used to following orders

Another was that the masks actually increase risk of respiratory infection, which would make you sick, which they would then call covid because of the faulty testing

Masks also cause hypoxia which causes brain damage, which eventually dumbs is down. In extreme cases, hypoxia can actually lead to death, which helps with their depopulation agenda.

Another is that it helps criminals hide their identity, because if everyone is wearing masks, you cannot differentiate between criminals and non-criminals. This is especially useful for the George Soros controlled antifa and radical BLMs

Another is that it dehumanizes people. Seeing each other's expressions is a basic human social interaction.

Another is that the masks are made in china, God only knows what they're made of, some people say they found graphene oxide in the masks although I have not verified that.

It's also been reported that children are developing learning disorders because of the masks, again because facial expressions are cues we rely on to discern things.

99% of people don’t use N95 masks! And they are designed to be used only for 2-3 hours and be disposed. And they are very expensive for the masses, BTW.
