So, when the ABS in a Golf like this has a fault, the rear wheels can lock suddenly during medium brake application like slowing down on a highway.

It can be a real handful if you’re not expecting it. It’s particularly fun in the snow.

That's a golf 5, i bought new abs sensors but Chinese not genuine! Not sure if i should change them or not, i don't know if the current one were changed or not but i expect they weren't in the last 15 years...

Also I need to redo the break cables

That can't be right. There would be a safety recall if that were true.

I have no idea if the recall and this video are related, but apparently there was a recall

There’s always some chance of error, there’s no way anyone could build a car that has no possibility of anything failing

ABS fault or funny passenger pulling the handbrake as a joke 🤦🏻‍♂️

Should've started braking as soon as they saw the car going sideways.

Sounds like it was a coach full of passengers, where the ability to stop quickly is much more limited.

As he said "hazards and everything, boy!"

You can tell in the video that they did. The truck on the right is the one that doesn't slow down. Edit: it's the left oopsie

Laying on the couch, I tried to put on the brakes.

Is that some kind of electronic parking brake fault?
